It is good for the summary of articles , but flawed like many news apps which use a large amount of feeds from outlets which require you to purchase subscriptions after a few articles.

I was a simply fan back when it was still just some kid who created it. It was great back then! Now?...not so much. Actually, not at all. Doesn’t load any categories anymore. I’m finally giving up. I’m going to delete it.

Decent aggregator. But seems to default to the New York Times version of any story. Which would be great if you have an NYT subscription, but that kinda defeats the purpose of an aggregator. If I buy an NYT subscription, why would I read it in Simply? Also doesn’t acknowledge that other outlets also do good journalism and a variety might be a good thing. Not very customizeable - in fact pretty stripped down. Hasn’t been updated in a year and it shows. Not my go to app anymore.

I enjoyed SimplyNews for a while. Nice organization & presentation of news aggregation. I’ve finally had enough of the “pay gate” news sources. One more “you’ve reached your limit of free articles” and I was going to throw my phone through a window!! AND, THE FEEDBACK MECHANISM DOES NOT FUNCTION! I could WRITE the feedback email. I just could NOT SEND the feedback email!!

Good collection of articles; but too many articles are on news sites that force you to buy a subscription to read them.

The layout is great but the news summary of each story reads like it was created by a machine that just clipped random sentences from the larger story. It reads like total nonsense much of the time. Not worth space it takes on my iPad

All too often, the additional “sources” listed for an article have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the subject of the article. Very disappointing!

Swipes are mostly intuitive but occasionally you're opening a webpage when you think you're closing one. The sources are milqtoast.

Great app—quick, easy to read news feeds that can quickly catch you up on what’s going on in several major news categories. Easy access to more detail for stories that catch your interest. Not the place to do in depth reading. But that’s exactly why I appreciate SimplyNews! I just need an unbiased way to get a variety of news in the brief!

What I appreciate is the ease of use. I have quite a few news apps but I reach for SimplyNews first and foremost. It’s not crowded or cluttered, it’s clean. Making it child’s play to navigate and I thank you for that😊!
