NBC Right Now Local News Reviews

It is very helpful having an app where you can access local news. It is not helpful having a notification come up with seemingly every story regardless of significance. This is very disruptive. It would be much better if this was reserved for times when public may need to be aware of dangerous situations or action is needed. Or even if there was a large news story developing in the area that is of a national news level. It seems lately the frequency of these notifications has risen sharply. I have turned this feature off now which is disappointing. It was helpful having alerts when schools were delayed or significant events were happening.

NBCRightNowLocalNews is good, with KNDO and KNDU local news are separated for Yakima and Tri-Cities, although I wish they could make a setting on what city to get the news from first, Yakima or Tri-Cities.

Live streaming is very much improved, link now goes directly to it., but Video and Wake Up Northwest sections do not work, clicking on any video story just goes to black and returns you to list of videos again.

I count on NBC Right Now for instant updates on local news, weather, road conditions, and much more. It's an excellent app that I wouldn't want to do without!!

I just updated my review from a two star to a one star. This stupid app woke me up again at 4:30 in the morning to tell me to watch the news. If I choose to turn off notifications I wouldn't get notifications of real news. So I continue to get barraged with daily notifications to watch the news. What a joke! So now that I am tired, grumpy and annoyed I am deleting NBCRightNowLocalNews. I will get my news from another more professional source. My original, less grumpy, review is below:

The layout of NBCRightNowLocalNews is fair. It is a little tough to take KNDU seriously as professional journalists when the news is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. One of the latest changes drives me crazy- nearly enough to delete NBCRightNowLocalNews . I can't stand the notifications at 4 or 5 in the morning telling me to watch the news in the morning. It's incredibly annoying and comes across as a desperate attempt for attention. Save the notifications for important breaking news.

If I have to listen to someone blabbing local news early in the morning then I don't need this iPhone app, do I? That's the notice I get early every morning when I check into this news app, to go listen to the news somewhere. I don't want to contend with noise that early. I also have to agree with another reviewer that spelling and grammatical errors happen all the time. And right now some things are being reported on with no time and date, which is really bad because on top of all that, a lot of posts stay on here for days. Don't blame me for being crabby. Get on the back of whoever said supposed to be looking out for this mess and make them at least halfway try to do a professional job of it. Wake Up Yourselves.

NBCRightNowLocalNews is not working as today please fix it

Useful, especially for local/regional news & weather. Having some problems with streaming, but then I be happy to just read the article

They still don't seem to update but then they want you to use their web site, where the ads are.

They do not do a good job of posting current news and weather, especially during the weekend. 'Right Now' is quite misleading. Current updated should come much faster.

Good app but should have more updated

Pretty Good catches most os our local area news and what's more important keeps us on the Know.,

NBCRightNowLocalNews worked fine. Almost every on NBCRightNowLocalNews is laced with typos and grammatical errors. Its not a good app to review any kind of professional journalism. KNDU should focus on a good spell check and less on app updates.

Up to date local news and alerts. Great app!!!

Not a bad app. The best of any of the Tri-Cities television stations.

So this is what I hate. App update but no iPhone 6 or 6 plus resolution updates. Also there are so many ads it's not even funny.

Was fine, now takes up more time and space. Bad move. Loads really slow.
