Well I thought I would try this sharp remote app in spite the low ratings. I have an older aquos along with some newer models. Figured it may had worked for my older model being a review stated it didn’t work on a brand new model. No luck on either

When I would try to connect my phone to the tv it wouldn’t work or when I tried to go on settings their was no virtual remote setting.

Same problem as everyone. Matters not on WiFi or Ethernet cable. SharpSmartRemote is not browsing correctly. If the Dev wanted to help they would add a manual entry option for IP. I can see my TV on my network, app simply can’t.

Literally has never worked. Brand new sharp TV. They also haven’t updated SharpSmartRemote in a year. You’d think a major TV company like sharp would have an remote app like all the other Smart TVs do.

SharpSmartRemote is useless it won’t find my TV. I made sure all the devices were on the same network and still did not work.

Why is SharpSmartRemote needed since you have to have an actual remote to get the tv hooked up to wifi with the phone.

It works perfectly fine for me.... I never have to get up and change it through the t.v cause I lose my remote.... BUT IT WILL ONLY WORK IF ................................................................................ your dreaming🤭😂👌🏽

This app only supports SHARP TV’s (with ‘IP Control’) for the European market.
This app supports English, Turkish, French, German, Dutch and Danish.
The TV and device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Enable “Virtual Remote” on the TV (Menu->Settings->Other Settings).
Once found, select it and you are in control.
Start the app and it will search for your TV.
