Mobility for Jira - Pro Reviews

Bring back the old view where all the tasks for a story on the agile boards were lined up in a common row by story. I used to be able to find a story and then slide left and right to see all of the related tasks for the story in the appropriate status column (to do, in progress, done).

The new Agile Board view broke this view and now if I am looking at tasks in the To Do column for a story and I slide to the In Progress column I see tasks that belong to a totally different story! This makes it much harder to quickly assess the state of a story by sliding left and right to see what status Columns the tasks for that story are located in.

Now I have to slide left and right and up and down and also pay careful attention to the story header. It’s basically useless for me now.

The Agile Board view in Mobility was one of the reasons that I didn’t use the official JIRA app. In fact, I keep submitting feedback to JIRA to make their Board view match the Agile Board view that you USED to have! I’m very sad now!!

I can’t create a ticket. I fill out all of the required fields, pick my project, pick my issue type, and when I submit it it fails with “400: missing required field” and prompts me once more to pick the issue type. To add insult to injury, it forgets everything I typed in the rest of the ticket!

the login page wont let us past the captcha - and insists are we not matching the text when we are, a hundred times over.

app isnt useful if it wont access the service its made to connect to. :(

We use jira all the time so I was very excited to see an app that takes what atlassian already gives you (which is what the free version of Mobility gives you) and get more.

Not sure what I got for pro but I thought it was the agile board. Unfortunately it is not. So I paid the extra for the Agile board. It seems if you have any number of issues in the agile board that's substantial the whole app crashes. Considering its for managing backlog, it basically makes the agile board in Mobility useless.

If that were to work, I'd probably think it worth paying the initial 7.

Stopped using Mobility a few years ago when the captcha bug disabled login. Then it worked for the past year or so - somewhat useful even with suboptimal design decisions. Now, the captcha bug returned and it is not possible to log in. I’m back to using the Jira desktop interface on the web browser instead of using Mobility - suboptimal in different ways...

I manage multiple engineering teams and I'm fed up with you Atlasssian. We pay for your service yet your mobile client uses sloppy (cheap) web views to generate our boards. This makes filtering and navigation on a portrait mobile screen extremely poor.

As paying users we should get a native iOS app that doesn't use cheap web views to generate our boards. You should ingest our data and do a proper native view, with full gesture support and caching. Just pathetic. Grow up and be a great company, not a big bundle of spaghetti and dueling work flows which is what you've become.

Beware: someone will soon come and eat your lunch. We will switch when that competitor arises. I'm sure most of your customers feel the same way. Booo!

Mobility has the right features, but is so unresponsive, it's nearly unusable. You'll tap to view an issue and nothing will happen... Tap again... And again........ And eventually it comes up. It may be a poor connection at times, but there needs to be some feedback to let me know something's happening.

As another commentator has pointed out, the agile board is unusable when viewing a backlog of any size. Also there are some key fields missing from the edit screen -- watcher, sprint, epic. Finally there are some minor UX issues around field selection and navigation. It's definitely better than the other similar apps that I tried, and better than atlassian's mobile-optimized version of the site, but it's fairly expensive for an App Store app, so I expect more. Hopefully the developer will be able to iterate...

Do not expect full functionality like the web app. This is a handy app for browsing and editing issues. Can transition workflow, reassign, log work, move into Sprint, Epic, Version.

I don’t use Agile / Greenhopper which is an in-app purchase.

I've been pretty happy with Mobility overall. The occasional bug, but nothing too long lasting. 5.0 won't open for me at the moment but I'll do some troubleshooting before I take away stars.

I've bought all of the ios Jira apps, and this one is what I end up using all the time. Works fine with my OnDemand installation, recent update resolved a app crash issue.

The ui is well laid out, making most jira operations you'd want to do on the go simple and intuitive. Doesn't have any offline access at all, but with how often Jira items change, this doesn't bother me.

If you browse by project often, you'll need a different app, as Jira Connect doesn't do that.

My daily usage is pulling up issues by jira key to comment or edit, creating new issues, and running a saved search/filter to manage queues of items.

One small point: if you have fields with long lists of enumerated items, these will be listed in one long list in the edit and create ui. Instead of a pick list form, you'll see every option enumerated directly on the screen. For fields such as Fix Version that may have lots of items, this can be cumbersome.

I use Mobility constantly for managing tickets when I am away from my desk. Very easy to use and navigate, especially with the ability to load presaved filters.

I recently ran into an issue where Mobility was crashing and the develop worked directly with me to resolve the issue. (It ended up being an odd issue with a filter I had set up, not an issue specifically with Mobility .)

Version 5.0.2 is even better than ever.

I love the new interface! The only thing missing now is to have Mobility open automatically when I click on a Jira url in the mail app. Other than that it’s worth every penny! I use Mobility almost more than the built in mail app.

Version 4.10.3 fixed the crashes!

I don't write many reviews. But Mobility is great! I wish they had an iPad version, but I use Mobility more than any other app per day! Btw: adding comments to a ticket is simple! Just click the pen/paper in the upper right corner, and scroll down to "comment". How much easier can it be? Before writing negative comments, why not spend more than 20 seconds trying it out? Mobility is worth every penny. And no i am not related to the creator of Mobility in any way...

Best of the JIRA apps on the store. And way better then mucking around with the half baked web interface. Everything works for me as expected from issues creation, filters, and resolution. Even the Agile board works well for me (my backlog is not huge so planning view works well for me).

(Can't search or filter dashboards though - list cuts off after 11, so if you are using a shared instance this might be an issue getting at the dashboard you want.)

Mobility is the best ios/android app to use to work with JIRA with no question. I tried them all and this one has the best combination of features and reliability out there. The support from their team is amazing as well.

Mobility has gone through some major updates in the past 6months and is all the better for it! I have been exceedingly pleased with its usefulness. Worth it for any IT Support person on the go!

Mobility is a great tool/resource to have when you are a project lead and need access to a project when you're on the go or just to be safe in the instance of an outage. I highly recommend Mobility for any JIRA project leads. The only improvement I can see is in the mobile dashboard the filters aren't labeled yet so it is tough to decipher them without knowing your dashboard by heart which shouldn't be an issue if you built it. Overall great app! Thanks Atlassian engineers.
