It would be ok if the map actually gave the same directions as google maps or Apple maps but it came up with something totally off the wall so had to manipulate it to make it match our drive. Then you can only see the forecast for the next two days. I am trying to plan a trip 5 days out. Lastly you get a few free credits and each trip cost a credit. So TripWeather is free but you will have to buy credits to keep using it.

I was trying to map out a simple 3 hour route, so that I could decide on the best time to leave, due to bad weather conditions. It should have taken 2 minutes tops! After 20 minutes...still nothing! That’s 20 minutes of my life, I can never get back!!!

Invariably an error box comes up indicating that route lookup failed for any and all waypoints inserted into a route. TripWeather is a great idea and if it ever works I’ll use it and support the development team but for now I’ll monitor it and hope it becomes functional.

I used to use TripWeather constantly last winter to check road conditions, but TripWeather no longer works in 2020. An error about "unable to resolve weather for one or more points" appears.

I found the route “planning” unintuitive - it’s different from every other iPhone map I’ve ever used. That doesn’t make it bad, just frustrating to figure out. Once I did figure it out, I kept trying to change the route, unsuccessfully. Some map icons are hidden underneath the search “bar” at the top (like the compass). When you search for an address, it just zooms the map there, doesn’t give any sort of pin or indication of what you searched for (like an address or city), so you still have to tap and hold. Zooming out on the map causes it to quit completely, losing all changes made to your route. Seemed a solid idea and solidly reviewed. I really can’t see why, after a few frustrating minutes of use.

I’d love to leave the review , but can’t seem to be able to use it. Tried several times, but app returns the error message that it can’t load the information. All trip points are showing spinning data load process and then returns an error message. Two stars for the idea, but no stars for execution so far. Hope in the future this will be resolved.

I was excited about it after my test run a week early. Now I'm driving tomorrow and the first pin won't drag anywhere even though I have credits :( I tried closing and reopening TripWeather 3x. Oh well. Suggestion for TripWeather makers from the first time it worked- add the state where it lists the city weather. It'd be super helpful for the long trips since they aren't all familiar main cities.

I couldn’t get TripWeather to reliably update on my trip, even with WiFi. Consequently, I drove through two midwestern thunderstorms, the very thing I hoped to avoid. It’s a great idea for an app—hopefully they get it working soon.

Adding waypoints is easy at first but editing the route later requires redoing the route if you want to add new waypoints.
The weather report for a trip tomorrow shows snow when other weather apps are showing 60f and sunny.

It works fine for the most part, but it won't let you start a trip before the current time. I wanted to chart a trip my brother started two hours ago, but it won't start it then, it started it now. In many cases a couple hours' difference wouldn't matter, but sometimes it could.

Exactly what I was looking for but better. I'll gladly pay the $2.99 or whatever it costs for unlimited usage. It's a great app, beautifully implemented once you realize you can add extra "waypoints" along the way to correct the path to the one you intend to take. I skipped the tutorial and it probably explains that. I'll have to look at the tutorial when I get home from my trip. 😀

Very nice trip weather app. Some nice features like custom trips by adding points to map, save trips for future use, reverse routes. The only enhancement I would ask of the developer is to extend the trip weather prediction from 3 days to 7 days.
Also app hasn’t been updated for 1 yr. and so might soon be limited by frequent apple ios updates

The developer has updated TripWeather and it works great once again. Thank you and I would recommend TripWeather to know what your weather will be on your trip.
Since the upgrade to OS10 it does not work! I paid for the upgrade, how about fixing this!!!
Don't buy until it is fixed.
Still does not work!!!

Use this to know what the weather is going to be when you are on the road and not as a map app and you will love it. I was driving from DC to Boston and could see what the weather was going to be at my expected time of arrival along the way. Love it.

Love TripWeather. Always did. Was broken for a while but it’s now fixed. Thanks!!
