Virtual Candle HD Reviews

First, I paid for “no ads” but I still get a pop-up when VirtualCandleHD first starts about YOUR other apps. Even though it’s not an IOS ad, it’s still an ad. I needed VirtualCandleHD to start right up from “Hey Siri, start the candle app” without having to touch the screen. Please fix this for your paying customers!

At times when switching candles, it is unable to return to the default candle. I could switch between all others but not back to the default. It would appear to be selected in the settings with the subtle highlighting, but the previously selected candle would appear. I completely restarted VirtualCandleHD and recreated it a few times. However it does not appear to happen all the time. Not a big deal but thought I would let everyone know.

Looking forward to your fix for the first issue! I will change to 5 stars when these are resolved!

When I had 5, I took my brother’s iPod but, he let me have it. I had a game called Lighter which I will rate. Please download. Rate POSITIVELY. Share with friends. Have fun. I’m clearing my throat for this part. Dear Creators, this is a fun game. I enjoy games like this one. Of you would do one little tweak or make another game. Make it where you can customize the shape to circles or make a blue candle. I would also enjoy it more if you put in the game the candle light SHINES.

Paid for no ads but still get them. Screen behind candle is not totally black as shown on VirtualCandleHD Store but actually has icons for ads for other apps plus a settings icon. Definitely takes away from the whole point of VirtualCandleHD . Also does not switch to landscape mode, so the shorter candles are very short on the screen. They would look more proportional if you could turn the phone sideways and they could fill more screen. Overall poorly executed for something that seems such a simple concept.

It would be cool if there were a way to extinguish the flame; perhaps see the smoke rise from the wick after it’s snuffed. C’est la vie.

At least it doesn’t have that stupid, red ambiance surrounding the flame the same way the lighter application does.

The real problem with the application is that, once you select any candle other than the first, it will not allow you to go back to the first one. You have to actually close the application and reopen it in order to get back to that first candle.

(Also, it would be nice if it didn’t have that white line at the bottom, the time in the upper left corner, how much battery is left in the upper right corner, and other little images on the screen.)

Bought it and was very disappointed! Still their own adds on and worst off all, the rest of the screen doesn’t black out when the candle is on, still the settings sign ( where you just and only chose from 6 different candles and just if that actually works without closing VirtualCandleHD ) a d two more buttons for their adds. And the Apple swipe up line. Takes totally away from the purpose to be kind of romantic. Money wasted!!

Ok to start off VirtualCandleHD is not what you think. It doesn’t work that well to touch and the buttons in the background make the vibe off. The flame just gets taller when you touch it and it never goes out

Not the best candle app on the market but makes for great impromptu candle lit dinners. Especially when you’re at a hospital where you can’t have an open flame.

VirtualCandleHD is great to set the mood (wink wink)... my s/o (husband) cant resist it! a couple days ago, i was trying to finish my romance novel (in the writing), and i couldnt think of a fitting scene. i turned this candle on, and had a glass of murdoc, and the juices started flowing! 100 stars great app! read my novel it is coming out in late november... thanks! mmm m smells greart

VirtualCandleHD used to work on older apple devices but I love flashlight apps and candle and entertainment apps

This was a vary sweet app, I used to ask my partner out. Vary Romantic. Definitely would use it again

VirtualCandleHD is useless without ads as it covers the bottom of the screen and has icons that take away from the candle aesthetic. Just sell it for the price to remove ads (0.99 as of this writing).

Have gotten really used to it and love it.

I was disappointed that you couldn't light the candle with a virtual match but still it was okay.

This added the perfect touch to our 51st anniversary dinner! (We had forgotten a candle)

VirtualCandleHD does not do what it says. For example, real candles flicker and dim down randomly. This just has a steady flame that looks good while you are staring at it, but the light that comes from it is mainly white. My advice is, if you want candle light buy a candle and don’t download VirtualCandleHD.

I love that they made an app for a candle! I would enjoy a few more flame options—something very contemplative. (A Roman clay oil lamp, or the like). Thanks!

I love VirtualCandleHD, it’s just what I needed. It’s bright and really look life like.
