The Hachette Wine Guide application aims to help you choose your wine wherever you are: in a restaurant, in a shop, at home, with friends or at the producers’.
This will help you remember all the good wines you have tasted; you can also mark yourself and provide comments for each wine you like.
You can find all useful information (geolocalized addresses, visiting times, etc) when you want to taste and buy your wine at the producer’s.
It is OBJECTIVE: the wines are tasted by experts who ignore names of producers or vintages.
It is EXHAUSTIVE: the tasted wines come from all French appellations including vins de pays.
It is INDEPENDENT: the producers who present their wines at the tasting sessions do it freely and without remuneration of any kind.

Very disappointing, because I expected this to be the same as the print guide, but more convenient for searching. That is not the case at all. The search function is very poor. As for how it compares to the print guide, HachetteWineGuide2021 does not show the past vintages of the same wine for select wines as far as being ready to drink or needing more time in the cellar (which in the print guide is represented by black or red font for each previously cited vintage of that wine).

I can't rate this on its utility or authoritativeness because I read very little French. The blurb for HachetteWineGuide2021 in HachetteWineGuide2021 Store should, quite obviously, identify this as a French-language app. It doesn't. Now, I'm in the process of studying French already anyway, so I'm not going to rattle Apple's cage trying to get a refund, but this won't be true of most unsuspecting non-Francophone buyers (for $19!), so HachetteWineGuide2021 Store blurb needs a little work!

Searching HachetteWineGuide2021 causes HachetteWineGuide2021 to crash which makes the whole guide pointless. Money down the drain!

I bought HachetteWineGuide2021 months ago and since I am using IOS 8 on iphone and ipad, HachetteWineGuide2021 doesn't recognize that I already purchased and request to sign in again. Each time I try to sign in I geta message that say "Unknown error. We could not restore your purchase. Try again".
Stay away from HachetteWineGuide2021. Ir costs $16.99 and is not even working!!!
