Xbox mag is number 1

Had this mag to support my Xbox info ...
Never had a problem with OfficialXboxMagazineUS ... so I checked to see the problems of others and found the majority were not an owner of an Xbox nor used OfficialXboxMagazineUS at all just got it to put down Xbox ... also found some of them were PS owners ... so ignore them ..
Or trace them down yourself .. not a problem nowadays.. great app .. see ya online !

Has potential

Being a former print subscriber, paying $2 a month isn't so bad. I didn't feel I got my money's worth considering all the demos and videos are on Xbox Live when I subscribed to the print edition. $2 a month isn't bad to read the feature stories and having the mag right there. The only problem is that they think they can charge full price for a digital edition that doesn't have any extra content. Full price in print gets you a disc. At least add some videos and interactive elements to the mag like The Daily. Then this will definitely be worth a digital subscription.

Although, OfficialXboxMagazineUS is rather slow on updating with new issues....and for those of you complaining about not having demos...you're likely reading this on a wi-fi connection s WHY DON'T YOU HAVE XBOX LIVE AND DOWNLOAD THE DEMOS?

Literally Garbage

I paid for a year subscription and NOT ONE magazine let me view it, of course I could continually pay money to literally buy EVERY SINGLE MAGAZINE. The iTunes "restore purchases" doesn't work, and hasn't worked for the entirety of the time I used it, including the one IN THE HELP MENU. Please save your money and get a different magazine.

Laughable

Hmmm what does Xbox magazine think about Xbox one releases and new tech?

Overwhelming positive as always. They are shilling junk to consumers who are tricked by the brand. Do not buy an Xbox one! They are trash.

Great app, excellent magazine

I can't say how much I enjoy this magazine. I've been getting the print editions for years on end. While I hate paying twice for a subscription, it's not the fault of OXM. Mind you I'm in my late 30's so I've seen many gaming mags come and go. They pack every issue with information on everything from indie games to AAA titles. I've bought more of my XBLA games because of reviews in OXM and they haven't steered me wrong.

The only thing that could make this online version better is if there were more active links built in to each issue. How great would it be to read a review on a great indie game, tap the page, and be redirected right to XBL to purchase it. I know we will see updates that allow us to be more connected to the magazine. OXM has always made improvements to their paper mags, I can't wait to see what the future for this format will bring.

Thanks!

My second review.

Along with the complete lack of extra content there is an annoying bug that leaves the red alert count at 1 on my newsstand app as if there we're a new magazine or paper to download but when I open the newsstand it says Xbox is new even though I've read it. Epic fail. So I open it anyway thinking it may need me to look inside to see that the December issue is finally ready to download. After all I've had the print copy of December's Xbox magazine for over a week now and that came via snail mail. If the electronic copy shows up with no extra content again this month I'm going to half to wonder what took so long? Did it really take more than a week just to cut and paste the exact same pages you already printed and mailed out weeks ago? Let's try to move into the third millennium guys. You are a publication that reports on technology. One might expect you to be a little more familiar with it.

Nothing Special

It's just a port. Don't buy it if you have the print version. Don't buy individual issues, they're 10$, while a one month subscription that renews automatically but can easily be cancelled is only 1.99. Wish they had past issues, since I missed one of the Halo editions recently, but overall really good, I used to get OXM often and this is a good deal and great scans. Downside is there's no content that really makes it an iPad version, in the future I'd like to see videos embedded, or hyperlinks to full zoom pictures.

Update on App

I previously wrote about OfficialXboxMagazineUS not working on the new iPad. After working through all FAQs. I emailed support, their reply was to ask for a refund. I wiped my iPad and reinstalled the software from my Mac. I setup my iPad as a NEW iPad instead of from a backup and downloaded OfficialXboxMagazineUS . It WORKED!

I hope this helps others that may experience the same problem.

I also want to complement the company on the new interface, really nice!

Better support would be nice, remember, customer support!

Really OXM??? I mean REALLY? Charging us Twice??

💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
As an original member of OXM and a subscriber from issue #3 I REALLY STRONGLY suggest you let your Subscription holders download these for our already paid subscription fee. This is COMPLETLY ridiculous to try and make the subscribers pay twice and from what I hear just scanned pages straight from the magazine. This is making me reconsider renewing my subscription. Also I know this is new but I HOPE you plan on bringing all past issues here. But not for 10 dollars!! This is almost free other then paying Ryan or some intern to scan and upload all the pages. Give the subscribers a break!!

Love this Digimag!!

Awesome for iPad, if you have one!! But it's just as equally good on an iPhone! The only thing that could be improved is the way the Digimag is read. It may be hard to program but it would be cool if the page size and font of the text would change to the right size for readability when turned on its side or when it's vertical. Hate having to pinch/zoom to read. Otherwise, awesome.

Okay, but...

I have a print subscription, but prefer the digital. Since you cannot transfer the print subscription to the digital one on iPad (first problem), I contacted the company to see what my options are. They offered to cancel my print subscription. I did and signed up for the digital one.

The second problem has to do with the "new" moniker that is not rectified whenever a magazine is downloaded. I have both PC World and Xbox Magazine, both Futures publications, and it is a problem on both.

The third problem lies with the lag between when the print magazine arrives and when the comparable digital one is available. I got the December issue about three weeks ago in the mail, but it is still not available here on the iPad.

The fourth problem, which may be an iPad endemic issue is the pages loading. In landscape, they load slowly. In portrait, a bit faster, but it is still slow.

Should have more

With the print copy having HAD the demo CD I thought this magazine would have been more interactive. But no for the price of just one issue it would have been better to buy the print at least you can touch it. This would be a whole lot better if it have videos of the games it reviews or sneak peeks at what is coming up. But the way it is now just buy the print that way you don't spend money on the ink and paper to AirPrint. Also an annual subscription is not much of a better price they don't deserve the money for such a horrible made newsstand app.

Pay for print - now pay again for iPad accsss

I love the fact that OXM is here on the Newsstand. And I love OXM in print. But I already subscribe to the print edition and refuse to pay twice just to have access on my iPad. When is the publishing industry going to stop this nonsense! I am willing to pay a small fee as a print subscriber for iPad access - but I am not willing to pay for what amounts to an entire 2nd subscription. Besides, other magazines we subscribe to are on the Newsstand and available as part of our print subscription.

One big PDF

I'm glad that OXM finally came to OfficialXboxMagazineUS Store, but I didn't think Future would just scan the whole thing and say this is for iOS. There's no videos or anything made specifically for iOS. This is just like another Future magazine I have, so it's not just OXM. Reading them, even on an iPad, is not the experience I was expecting.

Amazing!!!

I use to be a sony guy but that all changed when the first xbox came out and I made the switch and never looking back! This mag is amazing because I love gaming so much I'm in a gaming clan called Xiled Gaming and with this mag at my finger tips, I can get the ins and outs of the new games and what's to come to the gaming world.
