IBM Micromedex IV Comp. Reviews

I used to love IBMMicromedexIVComp (and other Micromedex apps) but now it is requiring I enter the password every single time I open IBMMicromedexIVComp . And the passwords aren’t self set and are always a weird combo of letters and numbers that I won’t possibly be able to memorize. This is paid for by my employer and it was annoying enough when my password randomly would expire but now, it’s rendering IBMMicromedexIVComp nearly useless. In the ED... I don’t have time to look up passwords on the computer to lo k up a drug or UV comparability. This needs fixed.

I’m not understanding all of these negative reviews. IBMMicromedexIVComp has worked just as described since day one. I have no complaints. Bypass the updates when opening IBMMicromedexIVComp by simply selecting “no” when asked if you’d like to download updates now and manually update app at a later time if needed to use emergently.

I had trouble accessing IBMMicromedexIVComp, therefore, I was struggling. To resolve this problem, I contacted the support team to get some advice. IBMMicromedexIVComp is great, when it works.

I never minded that it was barebones and a bit old school. It has completely stopped working again though and now will not load.

Needs a complete overhaul. Recommend using a different app like UpToDate until they do.

Requires frequent automatic updates that are impossible to bypass or turn off. Does not update via IBMMicromedexIVComp store but instead only does when you start IBMMicromedexIVComp . Update progress cancels and restarts if your phone auto locks. IBMMicromedexIVComp could be a potential liability if relied upon in urgent situations

I have an iTunes account but it will not let me sign in with that or create a new account.

It used to be a great app but it no longer works with iTunes subscription. I still use the drug reference and interactions but not this one

“Selected drugs” option no longer showing on iOS 13. Can’t check for interactions

IBMMicromedexIVComp will not even load now! This used to be one of my most used tools at the bedside. PLEASE FIX!

The IBM logo is not a good logo for a quick reference app. It should have a picture of a large "RX Compatibility" or "IV COMPATIBILITY" instead of being just simple blue and larger IBM. This is an important app for clinicians.

I LIKE IBMMicromedexIVComp JUST NOT THE HOME SCREEN LOGO....

With multiple patients in the ICU...this is a godsend! *Veterinary Medicine*

IBMMicromedexIVComp would be amazing if every time I went to use it it didn't show a loading screen adding new information and asking me to enter in the password that I have to find by going on my hospitals Micromedex website. In the one week that I've had it I've had to reenter the password four times. I work in the emergency department and when I need to look up an IV compatibility, it's not because I have five extra minutes to go log into one of the computers and type passwords into my phone.

This is a great app. It does run a little slow (seconds) but there is a lot of info supplied and it is not really a problem. It states in the description it is a free app but the subscription is $9.99 so there shouldn't be any surprises.

Good up to date info, but as previously stated it is way too slow. Faster to open the book and look up. When nurses want an answer they do not want to wait five minutes while the program thinks about things. Otherwise would be great. Please make an update to run faster.

We use Micromedex at our hospital and IBMMicromedexIVComp runs fine on my iPhone 4. Easy to navigate and provides all the info I need while on the floor and training. Great app.

Fixed my recent issue of no meds showing up in the list. So far, no further issues.

Using it on an iPhone 4, it works great, but it takes less time to walk out of a room , go to the nurses station and use the computer based one instead of trying to use it on my phone.

App runs extremely slow giving results which isn't desirable in the clinical setting.

Unfortunately IBMMicromedexIVComp is very slow. Also, the font is too small thus it can be challenging if you are in a hurry to delete medications from the IV compatibility check.

An awesome resource to have at the bedside, but it’s often slow and since iOS 11 says there’s no data for every drug.

Please fix.
If it works, it’s easily worth the $10
