Been a subscriber for 10+ years and always have to “renew subscription” every time I try to read a publication and it works about 25% of the time. Not worth the trouble. CANCEL!

So sick of companies such as this publisher releasing apps that don’t work because of careless work and poor design. For example, this magazine BOATING has two apps, identical in how they look except the color of the cover. Contents of both are identical ! The difference between them - one seems to work, the other one puts you in login hell by having you creating an account using Facebook and being told “error” with of course no reason why. That’s really only the result-the frustration in getting there is enough to want digital magazines to be declared illegal. 1 star is a favor.

BoatingMag worked better before I input my subscription information, and entered my subscription number. After I entered it I couldn’t access just about anything except the top four lines of an article, as a teaser. It really just makes you angry. Thank it is so sad, the magazine clearly says print and digital. Then you can’t get the digital. Bonnier publishing ruins every periodical they touch.

I bought the annual subscription but was repeatedly charged for downloading individual month magazines. Also, the downloads need to be repeated every time you want to read an issue. I tried to contact iTunes to no avail. Ended up paying 3 times the print subscription cost which I get also.

I'm seeing messages that confirm Boonier is having issues with the iOS 8.0 update. I have several subscriptions through them and their all doing the same thing. I hope they get it fixed or I would imagine they will be giving a lot of refunds!

Was really looking forward to reading the issue but the new version won't load. Used to work great but now, been after a few delete and reinstalls, it flashes like it's going to load but doesn't. Very disappointing. Hope it's fixed soon!? 5 if they fix this.

Works fine on my iPad Air 2. On iPhone 7 I can’t figure out how to get back to the main menu. I’m stuck in the current months issue and none of the menu options take me back to the main menu.

Don't purchase this through iTunes. Every month it refuses to download the new issue. I've done all the updates, I've talked with tech support at both Apple and Bonner (the publisher) and it still continues. Both blame to the other. I'm disappointed as it is a good magazine, but they just can't seem to make their technology work.

Page 32 in the April 2020 of my paid print subscription clearly says that paid print subscribers can read online version.

That’s a lie. I logged in. Got acknowledged of my subscription and then it won’t let me access any digital copy or article unless I pay an additional fee.

Don’t download. WASTE OF YOU TIME.

Instructions to setup your access using your hardcopy subscription account number are terrible. Instructions say account number can be found on the mailing label. The label has lots of numbers and symbols, none of which is identified as an account number. Gave up.

Extremely disappointed to find out after I subscribed to the print edition that it does not include access to the iPad app. Please allow electronic access to print subscribers; this is a major drawback. Actually paid more for print to support a local school. See how rewarding doing the right thing is?

Bought app back in 2012, been working ok! Just purchased the DIY handbook and can't get it to work! If I load just the handbook it works once or twice and then just locks up. If I try to reopen BoatingMag it starts then crashes. Now I can't even get to my old issues or download the new one. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!

I have an active subscription but cannot load my subscription in IOS 8.0. Get error messages. Have sent into support but no response. Crazy. Shows up in Newsstand but keeps wanting me to restart BoatingMag to get the downloads. A rip off at this point if I don't get a proper response.

App freezes nearly every time it's opened. Sometimes a force quit fixes it but I had to delete and reinstall once. Not worth the trouble, canceling my monthly subscription.

Potentially good app, however, an annual subscription to the print magazine DOES NOT include a digital subscription. I fell like folks at Bonnier Corp are just trying to make a few extra bucks on their faithful print customers…Bad business!

BoatingMag can not exit issues back to your library in iOS 11. It’s broken. I contacted support in November of 2017. They indicated an update should be coming in the next couple weeks. It’s now halfway through January of 2018 and BoatingMag is still broken. I’m beyond furious.

BoatingMag is not intuitive whatsoever. The new version is keeping me from being able to access new issues, even though it shows me logged in to my account.

Latest edition won’t load. App is always asking to restore purchases for new version. At least this used to work. Doing so with latest version successfully restores old purchases but not latest edition

You can go pound sand if you think that I am going to pay for a printed subcription and an electronic version. My print version is good for another 4 years. I will see you on the boat with my printed magazine.
