Thanks for the time you put into CamViewer. It was convenient while you were maintaining it.

Excellent app sad to know that has no support now
Wish if they added a record option and save to photo folder

If you click ‘Report Problem’ CamViewer says that they no longer offer email support and to go to the website.

If you go to the website and click on ‘Getting Help’ it tells you to use ‘Report Problem’ in CamViewer .

It’s a big run-around. Dev has no respect for his customers.

Awesome app I have used for years but does not appear to be compatible with my iPhone Xs Max after I upgraded from an iPhone X.

Great app. Simple to use but fully functioning. I highly recommend it.

Does not find cameras

Works very well. Using with Foscam FI8910W camera. Same basic functionality as provided in Foscam's WebUI but much easier to use on iPhone and iPad. Switches between two nice layouts depending on portrait or landscape mode. Has a decent retry mechanism if connection is lost due to poor signal. Pan/tilt not very responsive (I prefer to use the presets) but no worse than using Foscam's WebUI from desktop machine and TONs better than using their WebUI from the iPhone.

I paid for the audio upgrade. Works, but audio quality is pretty poor. May be a limitation of the Foscam camera (or the iPhone speaker), not CamViewer, as I tried listening to the audio using VLC on a desktop machine and it was only slightly better. I left a TV on in the room and I couldn't really make out the dialog. However, it serves my needs of being able to tell if my dog is barking/howling when I leave him at home.

Wishlist: Move the "flip" and "rotate" buttons off the main screen onto the "i" screen (I keep hitting these buttons by mistake). Support patrolling between two presets (not sure if this is possible using the Foscam APIs)

I paid for 2 other apps to keep an eye on racoon attacking my koi pond and surprisingly, this free app load the camera fastest and has lots of free functions including zooming in; controlling camera lens n etc. I can't wait the release of versions 2 and I hope it has push notification for motion sensor to let me know the racoon is paying my koi pond an uninvited "visit". In case the developer is reading this and could find a solution for motion sensor which does not pick up "wind motion" and wake me up for false alarm, it would have make my dream app comes true!!! The other app with motion sensor notification often pick up wind signal even when tune in to "least sensitive". Thanks for this simply the best n mostly free app!!

I am so impressed with this webcam app that it has motivated me to write my first app review. This viewer far and away outperforms other free viewers I've tested on my iPhone with my Foscam FI9721W cameras, and is extremely reliable and fast. I love the quick response over an Internet connection, the ability to easily control the camera'a movements, the ease of using presets, the ability to change from portrait to full-screen landscape mode... Just a great design that makes it extremely functional. I have recommended and installed this on several iPhones and iPads all with equally great success. This is CamViewer to use for Foscam cameras; the one from Foscam pales in comparison and is nearly useless. Thank you for a terrific free webcam app!

After the very long process BUT total foscam support who did all the work port forwarding my vacation property cameras on the phone so that I could view remote,I went to CamViewer store and tried several other apps couldnt figure out how to connect atall . I tried CamViewer feed in the info foscam gave me and boom it was up !everytime I turn it on cameras are loaded and ready to go. I would really like a split screen for multiple cams and to be able to record . Also would like to know if the audio works if it did and could get the multi cam and record or at least an alarm I would pay for it! Hope this helps .

Very pleased with updated version's new features. Pan and tilt were in old version. New version adds controls for brightness, contrast, flip, mirror, 640x480 vs 320x240 size, 50hz/60hz/Outdoor and they all work fine. For some reason, the pan controls are backwards for me (in old and new versions) but they do work. You must define a new "camera feed" for each camera you have, but it is easy and fast to switch between them. We are controlling 2 Foscam FI8918W cameras.

Wish list: Pinch/spread gesture zoom in/out of video image, and IR on/off controls.

This software works ok except it sometimes looses the connection. It works well on the Internet with port forwarding set up on the router. The major drawback is that the Foscam picture is distorted, the sound is horrible and colors are washed out. That's the fault of the camera, not the software. The same is true when accessing the camera from a PC. The corners of the far wall of my living room are curved like parentheses. ( ) The sound out of the camera is so noisy from WiFi signals getting into it that it's unusable. I would not recommend buying a Foscam.

Added and deleted several apps and found finally found CamView. Works flawless for me on two Wansview ncb541w. I took the chance on the $2.99 audio inapp purchase and yes it works on the iPhone 5. The audio is a but scratchy but understandable. A squelch and/or sensitivity option would be great but all and all this a very functional little app. The panning arrows are the best part. The only area of weakness is the limited camera compatibility but for Foscam-type cameras its a deal without audio -the FREE price tag make it a solid five star!

We bought a camera when we moved out of state and CamViewer lets our baby's grandparents watch her and feel closer to us all. It was so easy to set up that they we able to do it themselves with just a screenshot! So simple and easy!

We haven't felt the need to pay for the audio. I would if i know for sure i would be able to talk back to the camera like i can on my computer but without knowing for sure i don't want to spend the money.

Reserved my comment until second update came out. Just downloaded to my Iphone. Surprise still does not work. Deleted cameras and started over as I did the first update thinking this may correct problem as reported by many buyers. Second update same process and it still does not work. My cameras are compatable and they are setup correctly. Infact I downloaded a competitors app costing $4.99 loaded in same info as CamViewer and it worked fine. Keeping CamViewer hope problem will be resolved. Interesting note tryed to enter Frustrated and Consumer as Nickname......already taken:) Signed GOAWAYOBAMA

Gaveup and deleted completely another $2.99 wasted

Via port forwarding and with proper authentication, I can view my camera from a specific (freely hosted) web site. CamViewer allows me to enter those credentials and get the feed from that site/camera. The pan/tilt controls work smoothly and flawlessly. I'm about to get more cameras since everything is working so well.

I was confused by the 1-star reviews but decided to try it anyway. Maybe it's the new(?) charge for audio. I'm not interested in audio, so the free version suits my needs perfectly.

As the title states I love CamViewer. We have an ip camera in my daughters room that we use as a video monitor. CamViewer works fantastically even though we just bought a cheapie camera. I love that I can control the pan tilt and when at home on the wifi I can leave CamViewer running all night so if I hear her make a sound on the Angelcare I can see if she really needs me or if its a sleep peep. The technical support is also great. I have had very few problems with CamViewer . My Internet turned out to be the problem.

CamViewer works perfectly and is incredibly easy to configure. And it's FREE! My wife and I purchased a Foscam FI8918W for use as a baby monitor. Once I had installed and configured the Foscam, connecting to it with CamViewer was a breeze. CamViewer works great, the interface is simple and intuitive, and the camera is responsive from both my iPod and iPad, even over 3G. I highly recommend CamViewer if you're looking for a quick way to access your Foscam.

Come on people; this is a good app and it does what it needs to do, but there's no way it's better than the paid app! Cab you set email alerts? No. Can you take a cam photo and email it? No. Can you view multiple cameras at once? No. Can you scroll between cameras? No. I'm sure I've missed something, but you get the idea.

This is a good app and is worth the price of 'free', but free is less than $4.99 no matter which way you look at it.

If you want simple, this is for you. If you want a little more than simple, try $4.99.

Works very well for viewing and controlling my Foscam IP camera. I can pan, tilt, etc. with ease. One of the best features is that everything works in landscape mode, if you choose to view it that way. Some other apps only work in portrait mode. This feature is especially valuable when viewing on iPad. Occasionally, it will drop the connection with the camera, but I click on "retry" and it reconnects. I've been using CamViewer for years. It's proven reliable.
