LearnFrench makes languages fun to learn. Also, I like the quests. They push you to learn and do more. Without them, I would never be motivated to do the games. However, some quests are very hard and are not worth the points given. For example the Kung Fu Student (finish a perfect game of Belly in 1m 45s) and especially Kung Fu Master (finish a perfect game of Belly in 1m 35s) were extremely hard. Kung Fu Master was worth just 225 Xp and I worked so hard to get that quest. I would suggest either removing these kinds of quests or giving more xp for them. other than that, I love the quests and I can't stop playing this game. :) I also like how you can choose what unit to learn. Some units are a little challenging, so you can postpone the harder units to do later.

I love mindsnack a lot and this is the third time I bought their pull lessons (SAT, Spanish, now French). I don't understand why people are complaining and being bitter over paying $5! Really? It is well worth it and very cheap. Along with LearnFrench, I took four years of French in high school and I am taking advanced classes. I keep LearnFrench in my phone in case I need to do any review to jog back my memory or to play for fun. I love LearnFrench. The only thing I would suggest is a part two or more lesson plans. I know it's too advanced, but it would be nice to include subjunctive and passé composé verbs. Also, they should add a lesson for being injured so you know how to say "I have a headache" (J'ai mal à la tête). That's all. Thank you!!:)

Love LearnFrench. It engages the user in many different ways so that you can learn in different styles. It teaches vocabulary,spelling, phrases, visual recognition. There are games that challenge you in many different ways. There is clear audio of pronunciation and visual representations of the vocabulary. I love it. It also makes learning fun but setting all the lessons in a gaming environment. You level up and unlock new types of games. I wish there was a way to select different types of quizzing based on subjects in the past that you've "mastered" but no longer feel confident in. Basically I wish there was a way to customize reviews/quizzing by choosing the past lessons you want to be covered.

I loved these apps for learning Italian, French, and Japanese. LearnFrench is a reason I stayed motivated while learning my first foreign language: Italian. LearnFrench is THE reason why I now have such a large Italian lexicon as a 5th-year foreign language student in university: it helped me memorize things better than any textbook could, and in a fun way. I recommend this to everyone and there is truly nothing like it. I miss the games, I miss the fun, I miss Mindsnacks.

Please please PLEASE update your app. It would mean a lot and help so many people like it helped me. Thank you, grazie, merci, and ありがとう.

I first downloaded LearnFrench in 2012. It has not failed me since! I still use it to review, and I occasionally reset my progress back to beginner to go back and refresh my knowledge of French. I took French for two years in middle school, and I plan to CLEP it at the college level. I also desperately yearn to go to France after I pass my nursing state boards, so this is in preparation of that. I definitely suggest this to any French learner from any level, even a novice. MindSnacks is the best learning software I've ever seen or used myself! Make nursing MindSnacks!!!

Love the lessons. Bought the $20 "all access pass" for my first child. So we got all the languages & all the lessons. The game tracks your progress and sends you reminders & word of the day. It's great.

Tried to add second child as a player/learner to the same app. Mindsnacks requires a second email and ANOTHER $20 pass for the SAME APP! Bought a second $20 pass.

Wanted to add myself to play/learn language along w my kids…yup, I need to pay ANOTHER $20 OR I only get the "numbers" lesson WITHIN THE SAME APP (and I needed a 3rd email address.) I can't find a way to just add myself to the French lessons only either-for another $4.99. It's "All Access" or nothing. I already bought LearnFrench twice.

To Developer: Sorry, but small children DON'T HAVE EMAIL! Can't a parent just use one email and you list everyone in that same email?

So, ultimately $60 for our "all access pass" …Not so great. Guess I won't set up another "all access pass" for myself because $40 is already too much for any app, even an "all access pass".

This was such a wonderful app and learning tool to learn languages. I absolutely loved playing the games and getting better and faster at recalling the vocabulary. Please make an update so that it works with the latest Apple update!

I wrote the above message 3 years ago and it is just as true today as it was then. I miss LearnFrench so very much! It made learning languages so much fun! I know I’m not the only one out here that misses it, please make an update so we can play it once more!

By the time I finished the first free lesson I had unlocked 3 games to play and it seems like an excellent tool for practice. When I was prompted to purchase additional lessons, 49 more lessons for $5 seemed like a great deal to me. I’m not sure how extensive the lessons are yet but I’m adding it to my learning routine for now.

One gripe: I don’t like how it enforces everything in translation in English. It would be nice to turn that off; It seems to promote translation as opposed to thinking in French which makes the lessons slightly frustrating for me.

Okay I have had LearnFrench for a while. I ignored it for another French app because I thought it was boring. Then I thought the other app was boring so I started using LearnFrench. I was blown away because LearnFrench was fun and awesome. I am now learning my months and seasons and on level eight. So I'm going to convince everyone, who wants to learn a new, common language, to use the mindsnacks app. Like my sister for example wants to learn Japanese and I told to use the Japanese one when she is ready to learn.

I really enjoy LearnFrench and have purchased the All Access Language pass a while back. Its one of the best language apps out there and it really helps in learning a language. Its fun and challenging at the same time, but not too much that it deters you from enjoying it or learning anything.

I would give LearnFrench 5 stars except it needs to be updated to the current iOS. I hope it gets upgraded soon and not ignored like some of my other apps that cannot be opened anymore. If this is the case, may I at least get my money back?

If you devs are working on it, can you guys put out an update on the status of the apps somewhere? Maybe your blog?

Grammar isn't covered thoroughly in LearnFrench, just phrases and vocabulary. This should be a study aid for vocabulary but not your main source for learning the French language. It's fun and the games are exciting. LearnFrench is designed amazingly well and there are no bugs. It looks professional and runs smoothly without crashing. The pronunciation seems to be on point and I've been fixing my American accent by imitating the words when they are spoken.

LearnFrench is wonderfully designed! I can be a very slow learner when it comes to new languages, and can tend to lose motivation after so many fails, but LearnFrench has dodged that for me. It starts from the very beginning, incorporates a multi-ranged point and skill-building system, and allows you to pick which lesson you'd like to work on. The only thing I'd have change is that there be more options for games.

I love LearnFrench it is sooooo fun and soooooo helpful, a while ago I had LearnFrench and was learning French (and this was like four years ago) and I still remember most of the things I learned on LearnFrench it is awesome. However they do need to update it it will not let my buy LearnFrench unless they do update it but overall I would most definitely get LearnFrench it is soooooo muuuuucccchhhhhh fuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!

I have this and dulingo installed on my phone to help with my French classes in college, and I always go to this one first. I rarely use the other one. This makes french fun and easy. It gives you the pronunciation and helps you with spelling and visuals. Keep getting LearnFrench and rating it high so they will be able to add more lessons!!

I read the great reviews and was excited to use LearnFrench. I tried to create an account with my email address several times, and then using login with Facebook. Neither worked. Following the help guide from the mind snacks website, I deleted LearnFrench and reinstalled it. I still could not create an account. I rebooted my iPad. I still cannot create account. I don't write negative reviews, and tried to take this up with the developer. But there's no way to contact the mind snacks support team. If they can reach out to me and help, it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Great app, but please update it for IOS. Haven’t been able to access it for about a year because it needs updated for the 11.0 update

This is a great app for doing repetitions for better retention of the words and meanings through games. That makes learning and remembering the words much easier. I would recommend LearnFrench for anyone who's just starting to learn French or even some intermediate level who want to work on the basics.

I absolutely love mind snacks.

It’s my go to refresher every time I travel to a country where I have half learned a language, like Italy, Mexico, France, and so on.

The games are motivating, and every time I pick back up a half learned language with one of these apps, I learn more than I knew the last time. So I know that it’s working for long-term memory.

For me this is a highly effective language learning tool.

I’ve tried countless other language learning apps and none of them work for me.

Please please please update this for the new iOS.

I loved using the mindsnacks apps! They’re seriously so much better than any other language app. The games are all fun & get you to learn the language quickly! I used it in Spanish and French. Please update so I can keep using it. I paid for this and now I can’t even use it. PLEASE UPDATE!

This was by far the best vocabulary builder for language learners available on LearnFrench Store. PLEASE update it. I had purchased the full version and as an intermediate lifetime learner of French, I used it to maintain vocabulary and learn new ones in a fun and delightful way. Please revive LearnFrench!

This is a great app for someone who wants to keep their brain doing a language in a really fun way. I don’t think you can become fluent in the language but it will help you learn vocabulary and you will do it by having fun. It’s kind of pricey but I totally recommend it. You will have fun. When I have kids this is what they will play on my phone when they want games.
