Relax Meditation: Guided Mind Reviews

I had hoped that RelaxMeditation would work with my Apple Watch 4, but it's so annoying to listen to the meditations on my phone that I really regret buying a subscription and I am using the other free meditation app that has thousands of guided meditations and music. I'm not going to bother with using it with my watch. RelaxMeditation is very limited and it plays very loud music, presumably from a music radio app with advertising while it's meditations are playing. It's at a total beginner level and spends the first quarter of the meditation on lectures and the rest of the meditation is beginner level and delivered in an artificial voice. It does have a decent sound mixer with a variety of sounds, but the free app limits those to a very few. There are much better options available. It's meditations are a joke and may be useful only for a few weeks to someone totally unfamiliar with meditation, but it's more likely to turn someone off meditation than to show what a powerful tool it is. Don't waste your time or money on RelaxMeditation. It's a ripoff. Don't make the mistake I did and assume that the paid version would be functional.

This has always been one of my go-to apps that I recommended to everyone. I bought all their apps and even the extra sound packs. I remained loyal even when the devs got greedy and went from a relaxing app to a marketing focused thing. But now they have DELETED all my favorite sound mixes and polluted my favorite list with a bunch of things I did not have anything to do with. They want a bunch more money, but for what? My mixes are gone, and what about what I already paid? Listening to someone blather on is a totally different thing than blocking out noise or trying to get help to sleep. I could understand ads in a free version. It’s why I bought the paid one!

Update: banner ads are one thing. But these ads are closing RelaxMeditation and opening my browser repeatedly to hijack me to spam! This is extortion!

I’m mostly doing a review to ask more different levels of the paid version. I don’t want/need every thing in the fancy version, there are just some sound options I wish I could have. I’d be willing to pay (reasonably) a 1 time fee to get the extra sounds. But right now the only option is a 1 yr subscription that includes a bunch of things I don’t need. Others may, and may they enjoy the option. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if there weren’t others who would be willing to pay a smaller 1x fee for a partial upgrade rather than the $60 for everything that only covers 1 yr. Also, would love more low pitched sound options. I rather like the brain scan sound that’s on 1 of your other apps. Positives: really like the flexibility in RelaxMeditation, particularly the timer. Works great as a. Reverse alarm clock.

Edit: the restore button worked so I did get my lifetime subscription back. I am bringing it up to 4 stars, because it is an excellent program except for the guided meditations being so short and the narrators speaking too quickly.

So many sounds to choose from to help soothe you that you can try a different one or different combination each day. I also appreciate the isochronic tones, which kept me coming back almost every day. The meditations are good but short. The guides of the meditations speak very quickly and there is no option to slow their speech-if you're trying to meditate, it defeats the purpose to have to keep stopping and going back because they're talking too fast. But I bought a "lifetime" subscription but I have lost almost all of the sounds and meditation options I had because I don't have "pro" despite the fact that they have made no changes or improvements since I bought it.

Relax Meditation is a wonderful app for someone new to meditation. There’s plenty of free material, but there is a LIFETIME premium subscription for less than a year’s subscription for most other apps! And this isn’t some stripped down app either. There are a plethora of sounds and music choices that can be mixed and matched to play either alone or as the background for the guided meditations. Even more amazing is that the volume of the background can be altered to suit your preferences. There are a variety of meditation programs and singles for every facet of life. All in all, this is a great app that is both effective and surprisingly inexpensive so that those new to meditation can dive in without too great a financial risk.

I switch between this one and Rain Rain as I like to have a variety of sounds and control the volume for each. Unlike Rain Rain, Relax Meditation allows a LARGE number of sounds to be in your mixes. However, I wish it was possible to view all playing sounds in a simple dropout menu and also allow me to adjust volumes in the same drop menu. Currently you have to scroll through all the sounds to see what's playing and have to hold the sound to adjust the volume individually.
Also editing a favorite mix seems to only edit the name of it? I can't seem to select the sounds to delete or adjust them.

These are smaller features I'd like for more convenience but overall I use RelaxMeditation regularly and the sounds are clear and I do love the visuals. Very relaxing and I have fun making my own mixes! I purchased the lifetime version and do not regret it.

I’ve always wanted to learn to meditate. I have really been stressing out this past year so I went looking for meditation apps and really liked RelaxMeditation right off the bat when I tried it. The voice of the meditation leader is perfect and I can individually adjust the sounds and the volume of each. I’m hard of hearing so this is actually a big deal to me otherwise I struggle to hear the meditations because the background noise is too loud. There are a lot of features to customize with the sounds, music and background settings. It’s easy to use and intuitive.

I went through the introductory learning week and chose to buy the lifetime membership at a reduced price, which is less than I’d pay for even a basic class to learn how to do this. I’m not a fan of monthly memberships so I thought it was worth it. The lifetime membership opens up a vast library of meditations, sounds and coaching to help me deal with problems I’m facing daily. My wife and I are making meditation with RelaxMeditation the first thing to start our day. Thanks for developing your product!

My wife and I love listening to running water sounds while we sleep at night and early morning to drown out the ambient noises of the neighborhood, such as the neighbor's dogs, lawn mowers, construction equipment, utility trucks. My wife downloaded a different app for this purpose earlier but it cycles with a very noticeable skip, which is enough to wake me up at times. I love RelaxMeditation for several reasons - not the least of which is the fact that the sound doesn't "skip" when it cycles. I also love the ability to combine sounds - I gravitate to rain and running water. We also like to experiment with combining sounds. Keep up the good work!

Update to my previously submitted review (below): Hooray to the composers who created new sounds and melodies that happened to address my concerns and/or criticisms. There are more evocative music selections that don't get stuck with short repetitive melodies but rather wash over you or lull you into a state of calm and peace. Also there's an impressive number of new meditations. All in all, thanks for the welcome updates.

I appreciate all the choices of sounds and ability to customize ... but I wish the sounds with melodies (piano, flute, orchestra, etc.) had a longer loop cycle. Some of them consist of just four notes - whistleable, memorable notes, if you know what I mean - where instead of relaxing you, start to annoy or frustrate you because you're fixating on it, instead of letting it wash over you. I'm a music teacher, so perhaps I'm hyper sensitive to this. If you could offer more music choices with less melody and more of a droning, hypnotic quality, I'd give RelaxMeditation five stars. Thank you for a great app.

So far I have only been using the free version of RelaxMeditation...but I will be upgrading! The reason I got RelaxMeditation is that I have been looking for things to help me relax and unwind. And it has helped me do that...but an unexpected benefit came when I ended up booking a hotel that I had never stayed in before. While the room was nice and clean it was not quiet. After a 7 hour drive, I needed quiet and this was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in. Thank goodness I had RelaxMeditation. I turned it on to ocean music and set the timer to exit RelaxMeditation in 30 minutes. I don’t remember when I feel asleep but I woke up feeling so refreshed. I couldn’t believe it. I won’t ever travel without RelaxMeditation again.

I discovered your app at a desparate moment in a "too quiet" hotel room on vacation. I usually sleep with a huge powerfull fan on, and I needed something to send through the bluetooth speaker that would give me good "noise". I love how you can touch the hanging tiles that each have a different sound and you can layer them together to get just what you want! Very useful. I can see how this would be handy for a mom with a baby who needs to calm down and go to sleep. Many free choices and options to upgrade to bigger sound packages. RelaxMeditation is fun to just play around with! I dont want to spend my vacation time fooling around with RelaxMeditation, but it sure is tempting!!

RelaxMeditation is PRETTY AMAZING. I have used it for a few meditations which are great, BUT I use RelaxMeditation more so for the sounds that help me fall asleep. There’s such a variety of sounds, songs, and noises and you can play one, or play 10 all at the same time with adjustments to the volume for each individual sound. Then you can set a timer for how long you want them to play, and you can choose if you want it to fade off as it gets closer to stopping. Honestly, I love RelaxMeditation and have used it for the past two weeks to help me fall asleep and not once do I wake up after I’ve fallen asleep. I would HIGHLY recommend getting RelaxMeditation, whether if you want it for the soothing sounds or the meditations!!!!!!

I have been meditating for a few years now, using several different techniques. I like using musical support. Although I can meditate in silence, sounds can guide me a bit quicker and deeper into a meditative state, and provide the advantage of having a built in timer. There are a few distinct advantages to RelaxMeditation. One; I can set the time exactly for my needs. Two, I can specify the sounds. If you don't like something, or find it takes you out of meditation, just off it. And I find this much more smooth and less jarring than some of the other cds I have used. Worth the money :-)

RelaxMeditation has a huge amount of sounds available for free and some are really great. I had an issue with app after an upgrade that the developer was quick to respond to and resolve for me. (Thanks guys!) If only the menu at the bottom wasn’t in a place where it’s too easy to accidentally click on the ad below, but I’m getting a great app for free so five stars anyway :) It’s obvious this developer cares about the user as well as RelaxMeditation being of quality. Makes me want to purchase the paid app now just because I know there’s a lot of work involved in developing and maintaining these iOS apps and this one definitely has more value than your average free app.

Lovely app!! I have really bad anxiety issues so Im usually not be able to fall asleep before 5 am and when I finally am asleep I'd wake up in a panic attack. Now I fall asleep within 10 minutes of listening. RelaxMeditation has actually changed so much for me. I've tried watching calming videos (like ASMR) but I didn't get much out of them. RelaxMeditation is amazing with many sounds to choose from and you can overlap about a dozen as well as adjust the volume of each individual sound while layering them! There is a handy timer that will make RelaxMeditation exit itself afterwards. You can save your favorites so you won't lose em and even listen to ones other people made and wanted to share.

I think RelaxMeditation is amazing! The only problem is that you have to upgrade to “Pro” to get the full app potential. Other than that RelaxMeditation it great! I LOVE customizing my own sounds! It gets me in a state of realization and relaxation. I definitely recommend RelaxMeditation. Headspace is a great app for sleep also. They tell you stories and such. They have much more and not just stories. Get RelaxMeditation. Get both apps. Take this from a person who suffers from Sleep problems. It will help you a lot. I’m not saying it’s going to fix everything, but it will help a lot with calming your mind and helping sooth bad habits and stress. You are a Queen. Own it. Take care of yourself, and don’t let a group of people bring you down when there is 8 billion people in this world that can help you up.

Years back there was this "sound machine" let's call it from Brookstone. The radio-like thing could play a variety of soothing melodies and sounds from rain and thunder to ocean waves crashing against the beach. They were relaxing and wasn't just a cool piece of tech to have in my room, but something that could help me sleep and study.

I'd always wanted one. However, the problem was that it was too expensive. Years would pass and I told myself that one day there would be enough money set aside to buy it. As it goes that day never came.

Fast forward and I received an iPad Mini for my birthday. The same one aim typing this review with. At some point I started searching for "ambient sound" and the like. Eventually I found RelaxMeditation.

From then on I've been using this for everything that I had intended when I was younger. Including transcendental meditation. Needless to say it's been an awesome little treasure.

The recent visual and functional update for the iPad is a sorely needed and greatly appreciated follow up since it was first downloaded.

I am a paid subscriber because I absolutely adore RelaxMeditation!!! 😍😍😍 First, ⭐️Geoffroy from customer support is simply amazing and I cannot thank him enough!!! The development team are five star ⭐️ app developers. They are rare gems 💎 for app support. The team quickly responded to my request and helped me to resolve an odd but difficult to solve problem almost immediately.

Second, believe me when I say you need RelaxMeditation in your life!!! I honestly would not know what to do without it!!! That’s the God’s honest truth. It is one of the few things that can relax me, right away, when I am anxious. The bonus is that I can do this anywhere and I am able to subconsciously learn new knowledge based techniques aimed at to dealing with a range of issues from learning to laser focus, increasing creativity, improving relationships, sleeping, to meditation, relaxing while commuting, etc. There are a lot of programs to go through.

I have tried other relaxation and meditation apps and they don’t compare. 🦄 The full version is worth the money because I would pay a doctor 100 times 💰 more to improve the quality of my life the way that RelaxMeditation does.

Get RelaxMeditation. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I bought the full package because it seemed worthwhile in the long run - it has been. For someone who has trouble with anxiety, focusing, and falling asleep, RelaxMeditation can be so helpful. I've also had fun experimenting with different audio combos, and the Favorites feature lets you save those for future reference. There are tons of them, and for me, those alone were worth the money.

There's a variety of meditations you can use with the purchase. I haven't yet, so I can't speak for those, but if they're as helpful as the sleep meditations are (get those with their sleep app), then they're probably worth the money if you want help with stress, success, creativity, etc. The sleep meditations helped me with my worst bouts of insomnia, when the sounds alone didn't, so if that's what you need, try that app.

First of all, I have been using RelaxMeditation for a few years as my go-to sleeping program. With all the sounds and tones, it's easy to find something anyone would want. The tones have especially changed my life and have made taking a calming nap while trying to get over a migraine actually possible.

But what really led me to write this review was the shock I had that it not only updated completely after many years, but that it also synced the lifetime membership to the one on my phone automatically. It's nice to have all the features of both versions. Before the update, the one on my phone had to be bought separately, even though it was the same program. It had caused me to worry that they were getting rid of the program I had the lifetime membership to. I'm so glad to know that wasn't the case.
