GPS Speed Reviews

GPSSpeed gives me the information I need while biking and is so easy to use. It is great to know actual distance rather than a google approximation. Knowing my speed in real time helps to make an optimal workout. After my ride I can checkout my top speed and work to better it the next day. So good for fitness and my diabetic wife is getting healthier using it too.

I love GPSSpeed and use it for cycling. I tried several cycling apps but they were cluttered and wouldn’t switch to landscape orientation. GPSSpeed is simple and perfect for my needs. Also, it DOES have a mph option unlike what several reviewers have stated. It might’ve been part of a recent update.

It's easy to see and does NOT seem detrimental to battery life.


Actually, two minor complaints:
1) I wish it had a decimal point. When I'm walking 3 MPH is way different than 3.9 MPH...

2) It's got the speed nice and big, but the time is awfully tiny in the corner. What's the point of easily being able to see the speed but I have to put on glasses to see the time.


iTunes says there are advanced features for 99 cents, but I don't see a way to access any other features.

I ride a Scoot in San Francisco (like Zipcar for scooters) and it does not have a speedometer. GPSSpeed tells me everything I need: speed, time and distance with no pop up ads or anything to click. It's great! Landscape mode provides even more data!

Simple, good graphic design and does its job. Well done...

In order to "stop the timer" you have to force quit GPSSpeed on the Apple Watch.

GPSSpeed only tracks speed in Km so if you're from US and don't want to compute it, it's useless.

I downloaded GPSSpeed to test the speedo on my scooter and check top speed. It's neat how it puts a red dot on your top speed. I agree with other reviews though, battery usage is insane. Even when GPSSpeed is closed and location is off for that program iPhone battery life goes down the toilet. I used it, then had to delete it because of excessive battery drain.

GPSSpeed seems to work ok... BUT!
I am unabble to stop GPSSpeed ...
I turned it on last night, then after about 1 minute i hit reset and closed GPSSpeed .
This morning my iphone is at 17% battery, last night it was at 100%
I go into my memory app to see whats running in the background. GPSSpeed is listed.
So i go into GPSSpeed and its still running. I hit reset, but it just starts over again.

PS : i have 4 gps apps and i ran them all... Once i exit them, only GPSSpeed is still running.
I hope there is a way to turn it off... Because right now i have to turn my iphone off completely to get it to stop.

Well it does what I want it to do it's pretty accurate and I have iPhone 4 so when ur done make sure u kill GPSSpeed  with multitasking or else it will runn in the background and drain ur battery!

now update those graphics for the Retina Display and we have a nice spedometer app.

Dont listen to all these bad reviews it works!! It might be 1 or 2 mph off but it works tested it in my truck.

GPSSpeed works very well as long as you have good 3G service. I have sprint and I use this Snowboarding. Works like a charm!

I really have used this a lot, accurate and easy to use.

My speedometer is hard to see. So, though it's not totally accurate it's close enough to help.

Works fairly good is off some times what I really want is to see what the pro version looks like and how it works no one has reviewed it yet

Works great. Seems to be pretty accurate.

Great app. Works well. I use if often on my dirt bike!!

Looks good would love to try the iPad app version.
