Too Many Ads Plus Poor Performance

Way too many ads as the others have correctly pointed out. In addition, however, the app works poorly. Crashes constantly which makes for a frustrating listening experience. And every time you relaunch it you have to endure 15 to 30 seconds of repetitive ads before resuming listening to the program.
And ever since KGO hired the highly annoying & over-the-top Mark Thompson it’s not worth the trouble. Pat Thurston? Chip Franklin? Give me a break.
A&G are worth listening to, but the app makes it a frustrating challenge. Better to listen on an old-fashioned radio.
Needs interface redesign

This app needs a button or message to tell what is going on. At the gym the audio stops on occasion and there is no way of telling what is going on. Is the stream buffering? Is it disconnected? So I poke at the screen while I'm bouncing on the treadmill. Maybe a circle starts spinning as if it is trying to connect, maybe not......so hit it again....then an ad pops up....get rid of the ad...all the while trying to keep going on the treadmill.
Why can't there just be a button on the screen that indicates what is going on, something that can be touched to clearly try to turn on or off the live stream?

I just had to sign in for the latest update (the station wouldn’t play unless I did) and now I can’t switch to any other app while listening to KGO. If I do, the app stops running and the station fades out. What’s up with that? I don’t want to sit and watch my iOS, or my Bluetooth speaker. I want to ‘listen’ to my Bluetooth speaker while maybe clearing a ton of email, replying to a few texts, checking the weather, or any other number of things that requires I leave the app running in the background. Please fix this bug!
