I have the Lite version and it works fine. Now I’m being told to “upgrade” to the standard version. The only difference I see between the lite version and the regular version is that the REGULAR version has ads, which are so annoying that they make you want to pay for pro version to get rid of them. And I don’t see any advantage to the pro version except to escape the ads. Do the math: this is nothing more than a ploy to get you to pay for SunriseSunset . Why would anyone pay money for a pro version that is no different than the lite version?

When I got this version originally there were a few ads. I didn’t mind that for a free app. Now there are full screen ads on almost every page change. It is ridiculous and makes this already clumsy program more difficult to keep.

Annoying ads in paid app. The banner ads at bottom of screen block information. How can there be ads in a paid app.

I paid for an upgrade and SunriseSunset still asks me for an upgrade. Annoying ads won’t go away. I want my money back!

To many ads now looking for something else.

So we, ( the ones that bought SunriseSunset for .99 ) have to pay a dollar ( .99 ) more to go 'PRO' because we were YOUR first supporters and don’t get an upgrade price break??? I will be uninstalling SunriseSunset just on principle. SunriseSunset IS nice BUT, the times don't always match other sites given the same Lon and Lat coordinates. Also the times don't change as frequently day to day as do other sources. I have 3 alarms set on my iPhone every day.... sunrise, my alarm clock and sunset. I update the times nightly before I go to bed. Before I downloaded SunriseSunset I would check the times thru the native iPhone 'weather' app ( it's polled from Yahoo ). Upon checking SunriseSunset right now for Pittsburgh on June 23, 2009 the sunrise sunset times are the same for the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th ( 5:51am & 8:54pm). Sunrise changes 1 minute for the 27th ( 5:52am & 8:54pm) and the sunset doesn’t change until July 4th to 8:53pm. These calculations do not match with timeanddate dot com. HMMMM I think you guys are a little off somewhere in your calculations!

Though this kind of info us easy to get off the Internet, SunriseSunset is simply easier and faster than doing a search. SunriseSunset helpful is to me as a photographer. Wishes for future upgrades: make searching cities faster by putting alphabet on side of screen, or by allowing users to type in specific city. Also, you should be able to save cities/ searches. Otherwise, great work. I chose SunriseSunset over the competitor because I like the image background and large letters.

Great app, simple to use! Perfect for timing reservations for romantic cocktails and dinner at sunset. Perhaps explain what terms such "civil dusk" mean in practical terms such as "able to distinguish objects but no longer enough light to perform any outdoor activities". Had to look it up. Otherwise a beautiful, extremely useful app especially when travelling in an unfamiliar area.

As a cyclist that spends 5-6 hours on the bike a day this makes it a great APP for me to figure out my daily timing for a ride. This is going to be great for the summer so I can plan on getting up early to avoid the noon sun. Thanks for a great product. This would be an awesome payed APP if it included in it a full day break down of the temperature. I would pay a couple of bucks for it.

I have been hoping SunriseSunset would be updated but it has stayed the same for over a year. The main problem is there is no search feature, so if you want to see the data for Oslo, Norway you can't just type OSLO, you have to go to Europe, go to Norway then you have to know the name of the province, state, etc it is in, otherwise, you have to scroll through each one till you find the city you want.
Very un Apple like.
It also has a hard time finding your location using the GPS.
I suspect this is a dead app with no update ever coming.

This is a great app. I really like the recent improvements too but I would like to be able to have sunsets for multiple places available so I could just swipe the screen to show a different location similar to the weather app that comes with the iPhone. If it wouldn't be too hard to add it that would be great. But overall this is a great app!

The basic functions seem to work for your current location.
BUT there is no way to add favorite locations to a list you save on your device.
Also, no quick way to navigate to a location without scrolling through the list. If you want to find Zagreb, you must manually scroll through the entire list. They should have alphabetical tabs to quickly navigate to Wichita, Youngstown, or Zimbabwe.

This has been so helpful as a photographer. I love how easy it is to use and how accurate it is. As a photographer I want to be out shooting in the best light and this has taken the guess work out. I have tried several other apps similar to this one and non of them are as well put together.

The latest update makes it much easier to work with multiple locations. It saves your recently used locations, and also lets you create custom locations using your own coordinates. Great!

Ever since SunriseSunset "Darkness" was discontinued there has not been a sunrise-sunset app that worked and was customizable showing selected locations on one easy scrollable screen. "Darkness" was functional simplicity. SunriseSunset come close but freezes frequently. Locations can only be viewed individually. I'm still relying on "Darkness" without being able to add or delete any more locations.
