Translate Free - Language Translator & Dictionary Reviews

Through the years I have made many friends that speak different languages I have some that speak Spanish, some friends are from the Dominican, other friends are from El Salvador. Although I have learned to speak some Spanish etc. through the years, TranslateFree makes it so much easier. Some of my friends have left and gone home and we keep in touch. If you have any of the similar situations I highly recommend it. It is very easy to use and extremely accurate. Secondly my friends also use TranslateFree to translate their language to English.

I really like TranslateFree but one thing that’s really irritating is the little translator wheel doesn’t stop when it can’t translate a word. I have done this several times. Entered a word I want translated, for whatever reason TranslateFree can’t translate it. The “translating” banner” lets you know it’s working and the little wheel is turning away but it doesn’t stop. I tried to translate something 2 hours ago. The little banner still says it’s translating and there’s no way to get it to stop. The only way I’ve been able to is double click my home button and get rid of all the sites I’ve left open.

I am a fluent, albeit rusty, French speaker that learned to speak French through the JFK Special Warfare Center and School on Ft. Bragg, NC. Because of my "language rating" (3,3+), I can definitely read and understand spoken French better than I can speak it. Therefore, I'll have to use TranslateFree when I've forgotten some vocabulary. TranslateFree has been accurate 98% of the time and is close enough even when not completely accurate (TranslateFree DOES have some problems with slang). Overall it's a great tool to use!!

I love TranslateFree. The translations seem accurate, it doesn’t take too long to translate it, but I have one issue. The ads, there’s so many! After 2 times of using it, you get an ad. Heck, sometimes just one time! Sure, I get that you need the ads for paid promotions to other apps but you could still cut it down a bit. The ads are just a waste of time to me. Sure, maybe an ad every 4-7 times you used TranslateFree , but every other time?! That’s a plain annoyance to me!

This is absolutely the best language app we have ever used!! And we do travel abroad quite often! Since the both of us retired from life long careers in upper management in the oil/gas industry and been so very blessed to have oil/natural gas wells on my husbands inherited 2,688 acres, we are financially able to travel abroad as much as we like. Stay gone as long as we like.

In fact we are leaving again in 2 weeks. Be gone 3 months and TranslateFree will get another work out!!!

Might be a good app, but I wouldn't know because it does not include the two languages that I needed. Both of these languages are included in TranslateFree description: Tajik and Uzbek. However they are not included in the list of languages once I downloaded TranslateFree . At the bottom of the long list of languages is an option that says "my language is not listed." Click on that and, of course, it takes you to where you can pay money to get more languages. Supposedly, the languages I am looking for maybe included in the program. But who knows? Since the description of the free version is not accurate, how would I know what I'm getting if I pay for the "pro" version? No thanks.

This is such a wonderful app I love it it translate perfectly and you can send text messages to people with the translation and these people will say wow this person really speaks good but really what it is that I speak English and I’m translating into Spanish in Spanish people don’t speak English therefore we can get along very well this is such a great app two thumbs Up

I’ve only been using the My Language app for Spanish for less than an hour but so far I like it. It’s easy to use and quick in translating. I’ve mostly been translating from English to Spanish and once from Spanish to English and it looks like it’s going to be a very handy tool for me to use daily. I’m really happy that TranslateFree has been made free of charge and for iPhone users like me! Thank you very much for creating TranslateFree!

This is the only app besides Google Translate that features Haitian Creole. Haitian Creole is the most widely spoken Creole in the world. It is spoken by 10.6 million people and Haitian migrants living in the U.S., Canada, France, and Caribbean countries. I am learning Haitian Creole as a minister to expose Haitian Creole speaking peoples to God’s Word in their own language. While Google Translate is a good translation tool, some idioms are not detected but TranslateFree picks up more of them.

It translates English words to the Spanish words accurately enough but the program could use more development in getting it to rearrange or flip the words from the order in which they are spoken in English to the more correct way to actually say those words with they same meaning in Spanish which can only be achieved by knowing that the order of the words have to be changed.

I've always wanted to be able to speak Spanish, especially since moving to Houston 17 years ago. I had six semesters of Spanish in College and had some grasp of nones, verbs and putting simple sentences together but now I'm really picking the language up and able to understand so much more by using TranslateFree. Better than Rosetta Stone!

A couple years ago I was able to connect with family in Europe that I knew I had but the language barrier prevented me from even trying to find them. While it’s not perfect, we are able to get the main idea of what we are trying to say to each other. I have some questions for the developers and have attempted to contact them twice without success. I wanted to know if the $9.99 is a one time fee.

I appreciate this free app. Although the ads are annoying, they are a few seconds and a tolerable exchange for a wide variety of translations at your fingertips. I’m especially impressed that in choosing English to French translation, several different varieties of French are provided.

I took Spanish in High School many years ago and as the old saying goes, if you don't use it, you lose it. The pace it was taught was also fast and I've always retained SOME Spanish. I've always wanted to be affluent in different languages and its a big help if you want to send discreet texts/messages or plan to travel overseas.

I already speak some Spanish and French but not well enough to communicate exactly what I need from tine to time. TranslateFree has helped me to speak to anyone I want and feel confident that I’m being understood. I’ve shared it with others who can also now communicate with me. I really appreciate how easy TranslateFree works. Thank you.

I just got TranslateFree and it has been so useful. We are hosting an exchange student from Spain. I only know the absolute basics and nothing else. It has been very helpful to me while communicating online with her mother in Spain! I can easily translate what she says into English, and then type my reply and have it translate into Spanish! Thank you for this!!!

I could not manage my crazy life without it. I have friends of all nationalities and it works pretty good. In Spanish it’s a little different with so many words that hav different meanings but all in all this is the best. I wish I could type a longer letter. It takes me a lot of words to get my point across.

I'm going to be honest I've worked in kitchens most my life and it's getting to The point where I need to learn Spanish I only wish I could afford to upgrade because this is a outstanding app maybe sometime in the future but for now I am very satisfied and it is helping me at work greatly

Tried to charge me every time I entered TranslateFree . Not a good app, and definitely not useful. You don’t even know how to pronounce the word because, guess what, you have to pay for that feature. Almost every single feature you have to pay for. I would have liked TranslateFree s lot more if they had just incorporated ads into it to make all the features free and they would still earn s profit from ads. What a shame.

I’m really impressed with the accuracy of TranslateFree. I know that because I speak French fluently. I performed a couple of tests to see whether or not it’s legitimate translator; I came to the realization that its accuracy, combined with the speed at which it performs the translations are second to none.

The First time that I have used this free app was an awesome experience. I was able to communicate with a spanish speaking tile Business owner fluently in spanish with the help of my language translator app. I had scheduled a tile appointment with him, he was able to put down new tile app completed the job . TranslateFree has allowed me to be able to communicate with the owner anytime I need work done .

TranslateFree is so useful until I am considering upgrading to add the Voice,
For $9.99 So that I will be able to pronounce the words correctly.

This is a very useful app. It does a good enough job that I am able to use it to communicate with a friend in Guatemala. Most likely we probably wouldn’t talk very much without it. The problem is that every time I want to translate something I have to watch an ad first. If there was a way to pay for TranslateFree and turn off the ads, I would be thrilled.
