I canβt even BEGIN to give CrystalidentifierRockguide a chance because not only are they just like EVERY. SINGLE. OTHER. APP. forcing us into yet Another Subscription!!!! Knowledge/info/education shouldnβt require another subscription in life but ANYWAYβ¦ after trying several of the other apps and quickly deleting them for different reasons - even one surprising reoccurring one: ACCURACY. β¦ Nowβ¦ CrystalidentifierRockguide actually went so far in an either , 1- desperate or 2- straight ignorant attempt to get subscriptions by evaluating my stone (which I chose to evaluate as an accuracy test) and then stating that there HAD MY RESULTS and I could receive the results only AFTER I subscribe and THEN to add INSULT to INJURY ; they offered me 1/3 of the original subscription cost when I said no which means that if I had been a DUMMY and actually paid the almost $30 subscription then I would have been a straight CLOWN. In conclusion ; Itβs not WHAT you do but just HOW you decide to go about it and in this case, I just donβt appreciate your entire approach to me as a customer. That is just the business standards that I require- as Iβm sure I am not the only one. Iβll check back and see if you might be worth another try if you can get your approach together.

I had a mystery stone in an order and wanted to verify what it was. All the stones suggested didnβt even come close in color to what I had. Scanned some stones I already had and NONE of them were identified correctly. Definitely NOT worth the subscription and thank goodness for the free trial. Donβt waste your money.

I have used this on about 10 crystals, many I know what they are. It did not get one correct. Not one. Not even basic amethyst or clear quarts. This could be such a great app, if it worked. So disappointed.
by Metafizzy
I tried three stones by photo to be identified, two of which I knew. It not only couldnβt identify the one I didnβt know but completely miss identified the other two, even showing photos that were not even the same color or shape stone. Terrible!
by Phg2006
I got this in hopes of being able to identify random crystals that I have and to also have a nice day base of the qualities of the crystals - I scanned 6 different crystals and it was not able to identify even one of them! Donβt waste your time

I downloaded this with high expectations. Man was I ever disappointed. I took several pictures of blue calcite (said itβs moonstone) and a Seraphinite (said it was a diamond). After taking at least ten pictures of different stones, it only got one right. I even gave it easy to identify stones. Horrible app.

Well I was excited. Literally just opened CrystalidentifierRockguide and I feel scammed. Another thing you have to pay for. Yayβ¦. Guess Iβll just stick to my book and the old fashioned way. Or find an app that wonβt turn into another bill. So needless to say, Iβll be deleting CrystalidentifierRockguide.

I paid for the subscription with the one week trial because I was so excited about CrystalidentifierRockguide! Thank goodness I had the trial, I canceled immediately after it couldnβt identify any of my very common stones successfully. So disappointing. Delete delete delete

If I could give zero stars I would. CrystalidentifierRockguide has not correctly identified any of the crystals in my collection. I tried another app and it was very accurate. Also, I cancelled within the trial period and was still charged for the subscription with no refund. Donβt buy CrystalidentifierRockguide

I have paid for a year and every time I take a picture of one of my crystals to long it it gets it wrong every single time. This was a waste of time and money, such a big disappointment. I could go on and on but whatβs the point.

Doesnβt accurately identify any of the stones I have. Tried multiple times on a single stone and got different results each time. Tried that on a few other stones and I just got different results each time. Also wouldnβt work unless I signed up for a 3-Day free trial and then pay almost $30 a year. Donβt waste your time

I tried this out with some super common stones like, apatite and sardonyx. The application said my apatite was labradorite, which look nothing alike honestly. It also said the onyx was some super rare mineral that was the same color, but yet again, looks nothing alike otherwise. I do not recommend because itβs extremely wrong in about 90% of times Iβve used it. Total trash of an app.

So i was so Excited for this that i decided to get the full version. I do get the initial week free but i was in full belief this would work.
I was dead wrong.
I scanned 6 of my crystals. SIX OF THEM.
Rubellite, golden healer, ocean jasper, tourmaline in quartz, pyrite, and septarian. You know to get an idea of what it would read and what it wouldnβt. All six of them didnβt even get close.
I made sure to take the pictures with the crystal by itself, on a white surface and i tried it with and without the flash. It didnβt get a single one right.
Waste of time. Just stick to researching your crystals online. π€·π»ββοΈ

Iβve tried the scanning multiple times and comes back with several options but not close to what the photo or crystal is. The identification or scanning isnβt of value but more color and pulls up anything in that description. Disappointed for I paid in hopes could help but a crystal book is far better.

I donβt know jack about most crystals, rocks, or minerals but I can definitely tell the difference between a rock found in my driveway and a diamond. CrystalidentifierRockguide cannot. No amount of angle or lighting change changes the apps answer either. Most things it just says it canβt identify. Your better off just taking good videos of them and sending off to a professional

CrystalidentifierRockguide has not identified one single rock correctly not even close not sure if CrystalidentifierRockguide is colorblind but iβll take a picture of a red rock and get results for every other color . unfortunately because i wasnβt using it i forgot to cancel free trial and got stung for ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION to an app that doesnβt do what it claims , if i was buying beautiful stones i would know what they are from the seller iβm a rock hound i dig my own and want to know what they are CrystalidentifierRockguide is ZERO % helpful all it did was dig a F@&$ING HOLE IN MY BANK ACCOUNT, needless to say IM NOT HAPPY OR SATISFIED WITH CrystalidentifierRockguide .

Following along with the tutorial I almost accidentally took out an expensive subscription. I then had just the free version up, and it took a picture of βnothing β and called it quartz. Even now I am typing the review and itβs black typing on a black background, so I am not able to proofread my own review. This is not ready for prime time

I regret purchasing. It is poor at identifying even common specimens. It will work to upload your current rocks if you already know what they are. The articles may be useful.

This poor app struggles so much. I have a large crystal collection. I put several very common and well known stones in front of this thing. Clear pictures of classic stones. These stones were unmistakable. Iβm talking rose quartz, amethyst, smokey quartz, red jasper, howlite, turquoise, prehnite, larimar. Out of the first 16 stones I tried, it could identify 3 correctly. THREE. Sometimes it suggested things that were so off base. It thought Smokey quartz was either garnet or jade. REALLY??? Other times it couldnβt come up with anything. It had no idea what Larimar was.
Not good enough for me to recommend. Pathetic, actually.

Was super excited about CrystalidentifierRockguide but unfortunately it was really not able to identify any of my crystals :/ Even the super simple ones like rose quartz or amethyst. Either the wrong stone popped up or wasnβt identifiable at all. CrystalidentifierRockguide has a preset collection of stones to read about, some common, some not. I do like how it tells you the origin of stones but it would be super cool if it told you what u could use it for or what it brings to ur life! Definitely needs some work, however I wouldnβt trust it.

Since childhood, I was fond of collecting stones, but often did not know what kind of specimen I got into my collection. This application helps me understand what kind of stones are in my collection)βββββ

I downloaded the application a couple of days ago. After two days of use, I want to note how easy the application is to use. Copes with its task perfectly!β ββββ βββ

I travel very often in the mountains. There I often come across various stones, minerals and even crystals. CrystalidentifierRockguide is very cool in this case!βββββ

I often go abroad and buy stones at the markets. Your application is very useful in these cases! Now I know what I'm paying money for!βββββ
