About this app

The Commission of the European Union assigns e-numbers after the additive is cleared by the Scientific Committee on Food (SCF), the body responsible for the safety evaluation of food additives in the European Union.  E-numbers are reference numbers used by the European Union to facilitate identification of food additives.  All food additives used in the European Union are identified by an E-number.  Type the E-number at the top of the search bar and read the description to find out what additives are added to your product.  E-Numbers represent specific food additives, used by the food industry in the manufacture of various food products.  CHECK SOURCE - It depends on the source of additives, please check it. if a product is vegetarian-friendly or vegan, it is mostly halal.  These E-Numbers have been formulated by the European Economic Community (EEC) and are universally adopted by the food industry worldwide.  GREY means mushbooh and you need to look at the source of the additive to find out whether it is halal.  We provide list of E-numbers E-codes for you to check what your product is made of.  Green color refers to additives which are always halal.  Search Engine - you can search by e-number or e-code and find the additive type.  Mushbooh additives are colored in Grey.  We also added the wide variety of non e-numbers to the list and we are committed to expanding the database of HalalChecker .  Haram additives are colored in Red.  These additives are colored in Grey too.  These examples provide general knowledge of the additive where it is used and how it is used.
