This is the only Sony tv remote you will need! My friend broke my remote on accident and I didn’t want to spend on another fancy remote. I heard about UniversalSmartTVRemote from one of my buddies and i couldn’t have been happier. It has clean ui, ad-less compared to all the other remote apps out there, and so easy to use. After two app download failures with other sleazy remote control apps that were more interested in selling stuff than doing the job they titled UniversalSmartTVRemote for this one comes thru. It connected easily to my tv and went to work without trying to spam me with ads or offers to upgrade my service. This is honestly the only remote app that doesn’t block the entire screen with unskippable or annoying ads after you press the remote 5 times. So I purchased it because of this and it works great!

Finally got one of these apps to work. Couldn’t get the actually Vizio one to work. This connects and does volume/power fine. But once you enter an app like netflix, I get little to no response to select profiles, shows, etc. makes it very limited for me to use.

The controls only work every once in a while.. except for power, volume and input I can’t use this remote other than those. When I first downloaded UniversalSmartTVRemote it was great then all of a sudden it quit working. I’ve tried updating it and disconnecting/reconnecting to my tv with no luck.
If it worked like it was supposed to, I’d be very happy with it.

UniversalSmartTVRemote has saved me so many times! Anytime my remote gets lost in the couch, I can just pull out my phone. It paired really easily with Vizio TV and I have had no problems with the control over the TV.

It worked fine for the first few minutes and then it suddenly asks you to pay. I thought it was suggesting you to pay for extra features, but it insists that you pay for the features it already showed. Not worth it unless you just want a new remote

I’ve used this for a few months, and it was great. All of a sudden a new UI appeared, it worked, then a day later it demands you pay $2.99 for a subscription. I’m not going to pay a subscription for a basic/cheap app, Home Assistant has a free media remote that’s better anyways. Deleted!

UniversalSmartTVRemote was great at first. Everything worked, way better than Vizio’s own app.
Well, over the last 2 updates, functions are going. The up, down, left, & right arrows will not work. I don’t want to have to chrome cast constantly, but now I have to.

This appears to be an awesome remote control app. It allowed me to try it briefly then stopped. One problem I have with it is that $2.99 a week is way overpriced. I’m out on that! Is there something i’m missing??🤨??

First I thought it was going to be the best app but it’s not after like 10 minutes it was you to start a free trail for 3 days and it’s $2.99 a WEEK So I don’t think people should get UniversalSmartTVRemote. 😓

Loved this remote when I downloaded it, recently got an update on my phone and now it wants me to pay $2.99/week to use it. What kindof of BS is that. I can buy a new remote for a fraction of the price for a year of using UniversalSmartTVRemote. Disappointed

The scan finds my tv but then it shows a not found pop up on top so there is no way to click the tv it found. Clicking the button in the popup takes me out of the scan page. Repeat. Terribly implemented mechanism.
