Never get caught in the rain again!
Great app. With all the patio options being available at some of my favorite restaurants, NauticalEye has helped me plan my evenings and saved me from getting caught in the rain! This will be my new go to weather app!

This is my go to weather app for point forecasts at my location or where I’m planning to travel. Beyond that there is no other app that enables access to satellite, radar, lightning, and sea surface info. 10 apps in 1.

Lifesaver
Used Nautical Eye recently for a company fishing trip- it gave us the heads up on incoming swells and dangerous changes in sea levels in time to get back to shore safely. A few other boats clearly didn’t have the same heads up...

Not a good app
Maybe I’m using it wrong maybe not but your sea surface temp overlay is very bad. You can’t zoom in on it, has no overlay over a chart. That makes it useless for seeing where the “good water” is. For what you charge there are better services out there. NauticalEye itself is nice but to get more customers I suggest the following.
Make your sea surface and chlorophyll shots overlay a bathymetric chart, be able to zoom in and be able to set opacity levels.

Needing cell phone number to just open app???? = deleted
01/04/2020 Update to original review and respond to developer response.
Unfortunately I was not part of the beta review (I do have test flight installed if you wish to invite me) so I only have your word on the convoluted validation process for account signup.
If what you say is true, then instead of cell phone number, use postal code and state lived in (for US residence). At least then you have text based information that can be validated against a verifiable database. Use an email code that a person needs to check to continue registration.
Giving cell number is intrusive to one’s privacy AND subjects that phone number to robo calls and spam text. Just because you say so (it won’t be used for any other reasons), doesn’t mean it is so.
I am not apologizing for such a scathing review on something as simple as an account creation but IF these reviews are to help others evaluate and consider ramifications of their actions that some app developers won’t reveal in their intentions, I am hoping I helped at least one person.
I am NOT SAYING THIS ABOUT YOU or your app., just for anyone that reads these reviews to consider their actions and not waste their time if from get go, you are asking for what I consider very private information.

I don’t know NauticalEye writer, no app has the need for my cell phone number. Developer should give user sign in choice of email address where I could at least use the apple sign in featurn
