If you love ads after you tap almost every button this is WifiSignalStrengthMeter for you. Also, if you love to wait 30-60 seconds for WifiSignalStrengthMeter to update the readings then this is WifiSignalStrengthMeter for you.

In other words don’t download WifiSignalStrengthMeter if time is precious to you. I wanted to see what the boundary was for a WiFi router. WifiSignalStrengthMeter annoyed me so much with ads and the 30-60 second wait time that I removed it after a couple of minutes of not getting very far in my readings. I found another app and was able to obtain a whole lot more readings in a couple of minutes compared to WifiSignalStrengthMeter.

I don't typically write a review, but WifiSignalStrengthMeter is such a waist of time, I had to. Just like a lot of these reviews say, WifiSignalStrengthMeter won't find my Wi-Fi connection. No matter how much I try and how many ads I watch, it doesn't work. The ads are running every time to touch a button, and they are run full screen so you can't do anything till the ad lets you x out of it. Too many ads. Ridiculous. I know you want to get paid for your work, but your work is terrible and the ads are never ending. Don't waist your time

Aside from the ads, which are intrusive and frequent, WifiSignalStrengthMeter fails to present any results. It says “no connect” while my device is fully connected to my home Wifi. I refreshed. Nothing. Waited the recommended 30 to 60 seconds. Nothing. The developer needs to work on this a bit. They should also reconsider the $9 price tag for the ad free version because that is way too high for a simple app that can’t perform its primary function.

App takes over a minute to display signal strength, and doesn’t refresh quickly. Complete waste of time if you’re trying to find the limits of your gateway’s range in your house. And the ads...it will make you go bonkers. I would’ve paid to remove the ads but the fact it doesn’t show your signal strength in real time or refresh quickly is just plain stupid.

This thing won’t recognize my Wifi network within inches of my gateway. Won’t give me a signal strength reading anywhere and says I’m not even on my WiFi when I can clearly see it is. Everything I do triggers another ad instead. If this thing won’t even provide minimal functionality in free mode, how can I be expected to pay a dime for the full version??? This thing is nothing but an ad box and not worth crap.

So the price is high at 8.99 but the adds are really really annoying!!!
So I pay for the stupid #@& thing and it succeeds at the Apple store but then immediately displays a failed message in WifiSignalStrengthMeter . All I can say is I’m ok with the legalization of pot just don’t smoke it when you’re developing your app!!!

Requires 3 touches to get a result because of the annoying ads. Otherwise it gives interesting results the accuracy of which is not known.

Title pretty much says it all. I understand needing to display ads to generate revenue but the ads on WifiSignalStrengthMeter pop open full screen with sound blasting and don’t allow you to close them for 5 or so seconds. Deleted WifiSignalStrengthMeter within 5 min of the first use.

This ranks right up there with the dancing guy that was all the rage on internet ads 7or 8 years ago.

I know this is an app for pay at some point but they’re way too many at way too quick.

And the simple fact that you’ve written two apps charging the same price with the same number of ads is a bit ridiculous I’m not even sure how I feel about all this.

This thing takes forever to refresh. But I am very verse in about 50 ad’s now. I literally had this thing on my phone less than 30 minutes before I deleted it. Now my OCD has to look at this thing in iCloud forever. Hey, it doesn’t cost anything to try it. What else you gotta do.

Never got WifiSignalStrengthMeter to work mainly because the pop-up ads are full screen and come up every 15 to 20 seconds and every time you try to refresh a Wi-Fi list the pop-up pad covers everything up ridiculous and never worked

Will use Wi-Fi to serve so many ads I feel like I’m watching an infomercial channel, but won’t actually measure Wi-Fi. I would consider buying it to remove the ads if I knew it actually worked, but since it rates my Wi-Fi connection at -1000 while serving up a trillion advertisements, I won’t waste my money. Shouldn’t waste yours either

I got the free version and it worked great. Except commercials popped up every 30 secs.

So I upgraded. Now I got this for the signal meter. It no longer works. It doesn’t recognize my wifi anymore. I’ve reinstalled WifiSignalStrengthMeter . I’ve forgotten the networks and re added them. Nothing. Speed test still works. WiFi status unknown.

WifiSignalStrengthMeter has been very useful in trouble shooting issues with wifi. However WifiSignalStrengthMeter has stopped functioning since the advent of ios 13. I've reported this issue since using ipados 13 public beta but haven't received any response back.

Paid for the Pro version - but now can't use it...

The meter shows a good signal but also a “no connect” message. I’m typing this review so I obviously have a connection. It takes a long time for the meter to update and It seems like clicking on anything results in a pop up app. This is the fastest uninstall I have ever done. Don’t waste your time.

It seems to work at first. Moving around the house the meter changes and the speed lowers. Move back to the original location and it doesn’t go back up. Completely unreliable. Should probably be removed from WifiSignalStrengthMeter Store.

WifiSignalStrengthMeter always shows that I don’t have any connection anywhere is my house....even as I’m writing this review on a wireless device in my home. I can connect wirelessly throughout the home, just wanted an app to see where I had a stronger/weaker signal. But, according to WifiSignalStrengthMeter I don’t have a signal anywhere in my house.

Annoying full screen ads with 3second dismiss delays pop up every few seconds make WifiSignalStrengthMeter useless. Worse, even without the ads it only shows strength of the network you are connected to. So not helpful in finding a strong signal among many choices.

Pretty sure the information is showing us in accurate as the meter doesn’t even budge. Only thing that happens is I get a bunch of pop up ads that are freaking annoying. This is a joke

Worked ok on iOS 12 but stopped working when iPhone upgraded to 13.2 and .3

Like I said I opened WifiSignalStrengthMeter and even though I am connected to WiFi it was happy to tell me No WiFi Connected and -1000.

If I hit refresh I was welcomed with an ad. I got ads on the bottom of the screen and even when I went to other areas of WifiSignalStrengthMeter .

Do not download.

WifiSignalStrengthMeter consistently said my WiFi signal was weak (pinned at lowest possible), no matter where I went and even as I stood beside the router from which WifiSignalStrengthMeter was getting its internet access (cellular data shut off) to repeatedly download one incessant ad after another.

Nice app. Helped me find areas in my house that needed better signal strength, and in siting my extender for best use.

WifiSignalStrengthMeter says wait 30-60 seconds for WiFi signal strength to update. Ive tried multiple times. It never does. Only for it to pop up another ad. Too bad it can’t get a simple thing right.

You can’t tell what it is actually measuring and the ads are so intrusive it shuts down trying to figure it out. I wouldn’t trust any developer with this way of doing business.
