After years with no true mobile banking option at SunTrust, we were excited about the possibility to finally get mobile deposits. However, after forcing a password change, this account notified us that we needed to go back to their useless OCM Business app. If you’ve been a SunTrust business customer for long, you are no doubt aware of how often they like to have you reset your password using only letters and numbers but don’t allow more secure passwords or 2-step authentication. This one did that but never actually let us in to SunTrustBusinessOnline . This is absurd. - 10+ year small business owner and SunTrust customer who, it appears, will be finally changing banks.

SunTrustBusinessOnline hasn’t worked since the day I got it over a week ago. It DID make me change my password, but that’s all. Today, it tells me that there is an updated app in SunTrustBusinessOnline Store and to go download the new app. But then it just takes me to the personal banking app (which is the same, non-updated app). The business banking app is also the same. How can a bank this big be THIS BAD at mobile apps??

SunTrustBusinessOnline will make you reset your password and will then immediately give you an error saying that the service is unavailable. It will, however, change your password to whatever you attempted to change it to, so be sure to make a note of it. I was excited to finally get mobile deposit, but nope... still waiting.

I know they are trying but Suntrust is truly so behind when it comes to business banking. I was excited to see this update but it’s not working for me. It’s the same reset password error everyone has been reporting. Despite their great customer service, their technology makes me want to switch our business’s banks so bad.

What is SunTrust doing? To think that SunTrustBusinessOnline (which by the way is non-functional, good luck everyone) was created by a known financial institution is unfathomable. How many years have they had to get something working? Makes me question the entire enterprise.

I literally JUST changed it so I’m unwilling to do it again. Guess I can’t access the mobile app then? Surely there is a fix coming as this seems to be a common complaint.
