MHGU Database Reviews

It’s been a while since I actually used MHGUDatabase, but I wanted to check something and it asked for a rating so here we are.
From what I remember of using MHGUDatabase, it is extremely handy to have. Overall good data on various monsters, maps, weapons, and of course, almost everything in GU is in MHGUDatabase.
A few complaints here and there, but from what I can remember most of the issues are negligible.

Pretty good app but it is missing the insect glaive extract information which sadly was the main reason I downloaded it but still a really solid app for every other purpose/weapon just sadly missing that one bit of extremely useful info

Great so I don’t have to be finding a good website for everything, only wish is that there are in game pics of monsters and weapons instead of just the icon great tho!

I also wish I could book mark more things, a specific quest or an item.

I’m sure many of us have played our fair share of Monster Hunter games with the kirinico or the wikia page open for those moments when we think “oh crap, what is Rajang weak to again?” or “Wait, how the heck do you get spicy mushrooms?”

The search function on MHGUDatabase is great and being able to save favorites so you can remember armor/weapons you’re building toward makes keeping track of everything you’re trying to do much easier.

MHGUDatabase is so good, it shows so much details, clear weapon trees, monster loot and weaknesses, everything! My only complaint is that with the armor and weapons, because it'd be a massive community undertaking, they don't show the actual designs if the weapons and armors, only the rarity image, but overall, that's just a minor nitpick

great app, everything is laid out nicely, with the same ui as mh4u database. has all of the weapons and their paths along with their stats. perfect app to use to build your own sets given all of the information on the weapons, armor, and talismans. good job:)

MHGUDatabase has everything you could need from a database for MHGU. The only thing it’s missing is artwork for the weapons and armor which would be freaking amazing and I’d pay for. One small thing I would suggest however is being able to filter between village, guild, LR,HR etc. to find items more quickly at a certain point in the game. MAX 5 stars amazing app. No ads. It really deserves everything. I would pay for an app like this.

MHGUDatabase is super useful if you want to learn just a bit more about a certain weapon or monster without searching it up, and MHGUDatabase keeps it very organized. Definitely recommend it if you want everything you need about MHGU in one place

I love MHGUDatabase! Everything is easy access. The only thing I can think of is an armor set builder like the MH4U app would be nice but otherwise extremely useful I recommend it greatly for anyone getting into MHGU.

I love MHGUDatabase. As I type this review MHGUDatabase is installing that is how much I love and trust the developers of these apps. There always spot on easy to understand and easy to access. I would recommend MHGUDatabase to any Monster Hunter Fan needing help finding or needing any type of info.

Before I found MHGUDatabase I was doing web searches and spending a minute or so each time looking for key quests, where to find resources, etc.. Now I can see everything instantly. Fantastic app.

It could be organized better and would be better if it offered a more detail of how to get items (harvesting icons) and told you how to unlock quests and hunters arts. That information would make this a perfect companion app. It is good but could be a little more complete.

I constantly check MHGUDatabase while playing gen ultimate. It helps me plan armor sets, find weapons appropriate for my build, and quickly reference monster weak points. It’s also helpful finding the quickest way to get rare materials such as palliums by telling me what parts of the monster to break, which quests have the highest reward rates, and if you should be capturing or slaying the monster.

I love that we have MHGUDatabase for GU. I’ve used the Gen and 4U ones and they were great. Only suggestions I have is I wish we were able to search up some weapons in specific or if we could narrow it down by element. Like for example, showing all the maxed out thunder DB’s so I can see which ones I wanna build, etc. other than that great app and very helpful to have on the phone :)

These databases will never disappoint and, from my experience with MH3UDB and MHGDB made by this same person (most likely?), they are very accurate with the percentages on everything. It seems like you, the creator, put so much work into this and put so many hours to calculate exact percentages. I’m very thankful you made this free.

Extremely helpful and very easy to find the info you need, the perfect companion app to quickly search for needed info while not having to go completely out of your way to look something up, MHGUDatabase has it all in a few clicks, very nice, would definitely recommend if you play MHGU a lot, whether you are new or a veteran it is equally helpful

MHGUDatabase is a perfect companion to MHGU, it has all monsters listed as well all possible regions, quests, rewards, and locations of materials. Best of all, especially for a free app, absolutely NO ads. I find myself using this more than Kiranico. My only complaint is that MHGUDatabase is absent of how much heath monsters have, but considering how much content is here and the fact it’s ad free makes that little bit of missing content negligible.

A really nice visual layout, easy to navigate and easy for referencing while gaming without having to have your desktop or laptop right there with you especially if you’re gaming away from them on your switch. I recently got into the MH games playing 3U and have used the other similar MH database apps made by the creator for MH4U and MHGEN and while it may not be as comprehensive as other apps, it covers enough information to be a handy guide.

Love MHGUDatabase. So great to have the info compiled into a quickly accessible and easily readable format like this instead of having to click through Kiranico. Also it looks nice. Also, NO ADS. Thank you for doing this.

Not sure what is up with that block of monsters out of alphabetical order on the list? Kind of bugs me a bit. One other thing - am I missing something or are Deviants not listed?

Besides those tiny concerns - highly recommended.

This database is amazing and easy to navigate. It saved me from wasting time quite a bit. I was having real big trouble progressing from LR 3 star quest all because I wasn’t doing the key quest. I kid you not, I thought I had to do all of the three star quests. However this amazing database told me the key quest and I had that problem no more. Thank you!!
