DO NOT waste your $

Look up breathing techniques for relaxation and sleep. Find one that gives you deep breathing - inhale 10 sec and hold, exhale mouth same, then same with nose inhale, same exhale. Easier to learn that than to feel bad trying to use this inane app. You have to look at the screen. Pulse’s setup goes for only 25 seconds; not gonna fall asleep in 60 seconds that way. The sounds are almost inaudible. It says use headphones but I do not want those in my ears when I’m trying to sleep. As soon as the 25 seconds are up it tells me I have contributed toward some tally of everyone who has ever used Pulse or something. I DO NOT CARE. Why flash a message when I should be asleep or close to sleep? App did not state price before download. Hoping it’s not a subscription and really want a refund. I’m disappointed, angry, and anxious, and I can hear birds beginning to sing as dawn approaches.
Has bugs and it’s not useable

It gets stuck at the main screen when I select what I wish to do. The AI responds with text that gives the impression it understood that I wanted the settings option...but no settings were shown. For the other options, it seemed like I got the settings menu instead and didn’t receive anything that showed me what the screenshots in Pulse preview showed. It did have a big “X” at the bottom of the screen and after tapping it and Pulse not responding, I had to force close Pulse and try again. Not sure if I did anything wrong. It’s not useable for me right now. I hope this gets fixed soon as the concept seems great.
Frustrating and Stupid

FIX THIS STUPID APP. I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS.
So. I actually really love Pulse. I use it every night and sometimes during the day. However, it won’t let me buy the pro version which is endlessly frustrating and I can’t find any app support. Hopefully this poor review gets some attention so we can figure out the issue and I can purchase the pro version. Hope to hear from support soon. If I don’t get help I might stop using Pulse altogether and I’ll definitely stop promoting it.
Too many bugs

Sleep cycle won’t run for a full minute. Sound is barely audible. No haptic or trigger to tell you when to breathe or release a breath, so while you’re trying to fall asleep, you also have to keep your eyes open and on the screen. That makes no sense.
“Buy me a beer” feature on the settings is just stupid, and if you’re not careful, you’ll get charged for who-knows-what in the middle of the night.
Overall, not impressed. It’s only a dollar, but I’d happily get my money back.
I have used Pulse daily for several years. The latest update requires a phone number. There is absolutely no reason Pulse needs that information. That is a ridiculous invasion of privacy. I have deleted Pulse and will not use it again.
Requires your phone number

I’ve been using Pulse for a while and their recent update now REQUIRES you to give them your phone number. There is absolutely NO REASON why this developer or app needs your phone number. I’ll be removing Pulse from my phone immediately.
From simple app, it became a pain to use

Pulse now looks strange, has a lot of bugs, the scroll thing to choose get Pulse stuck so i have to close it manually. I cant even use it properly. If you have this kind of interface you still need a button to confirm your action. And the is still no features to use Pulse without looking at it. I still don't know what vibration do even if its on. It is simply not working. Add a least sound to guide through session. Instead of fixing the main problems, Pulse became even bigger mess. The wireframe is completely ruined.
Terribly disappointed

To suggest that someone will fall asleep in the 60 seconds it takes to inhale-hold-exhale three times is laughable. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more simplistic/basic/unimpressive app in my life. Glad I got it free or I’d have requested a refund.
Runs for 20-25 seconds then stops.

The sleep function won’t run continuously for a minute on my iPhone X. If I’m gonna “fall asleep in 60 seconds” I’d have to restart Pulse a few times. After 20-25 seconds, I just start to get into it. Then it ends. Not just that- it asks if I want to share Pulse . NO. I don’t. Not then. If I fell asleep in 1/3 of a minute I guess it would be great. It’s timing is just off.
It also says I’ve added almost 7 minutes of use to the collective. In reality, I was only able to do about 70 seconds altogether- but it was 70 seconds that was interrupted over & over. No good for sleep.
What a drag. I really do like the whole approach. I just can’t give a better rating.
Isn't the "Hold your breath" part too long? Lol I think it's distracting since you're getting choked. Just kidding. But couldn't sleep like that.
And the fact that you need to stare at the phone for relaxation is a bit paradoxical.
It does not work

It was super tired today and I need to got to bed for school tomorrow. So I tried Pulse and it did not work for me. I thought that there would be a ton of different options to do this but there was like only one or two. That is what i think of Pulse.
A Good Tool

Would love a night mode. Something easier on the eyes when looking at this and trying to relax. Having vibrations is a good idea but my app didn't vibrate. Y iPhone 6S

Thanks for a great app!
Great App for the Apple Watch!

Why not write a version for the Apple Watch. I wear that to bed to track my sleep, so Pulse would be a great sleep tool.
It’s great but I want to upgrade but upgrade button not working.

Helps me fall asleep when I’m stressed, feeling depressed, or when I have too much on my mind.. thank you to whoever came up with Pulse, I’ve only used it twice so far but I plan on using it a lot more. It helps me so much, you have no idea. 💞
Simplicity

I love Pulse because of its simplicity. I appreciate that it is so basic, I don’t have to think about making choices before I use it. And the relaxing technique really works! And it only takes about 60 seconds to get myself centered!
UPDATED returned to the original design

Update: the minimalist design and sleek functionality are back.
I loved this app for its minimalistic design. The new app is awful and looks ridiculous. I don’t need an ai to ask me what I need I just need a clean app that I can quickly pull up and use without going through a whole animation before I can start
I was able to buy the pro version and I’m so glad I did. Pulse helps me relax at night- I am able to fall asleep faster and the breathing techniques help me quiet my mind. Thank you all!!
