MockOut - NFL mock draft game Reviews

I love MockOut. Wether i’m pooping or i’m procrastinating I’m able to do quick and easy mocks! The trade system is awesome as well and recently they updated the rankings and removed players that did not declare! They are still missing key players who may go rounds 1-3 such as CB Marcus Jones and EDGE/DT Logan Hall. I also think their should be a “team needs” section to aid the picks for each team, as well as a tab to show what players were already selected for the team. When doing 2 round mocks, it’s slightly frustrating having to back out of the selection screen, scroll to the top, click round 1 and scroll to the team to see who i picked. Small quality of life improvements that can go a long way to make MockOut perfect. Still at face value, MockOut is such an amazing tool and I can’t recommend it enough for mobile devices!

What you should build on from what you already have:
1. Ability to trade multiple assets at once
2. Multi team trades
3. Trade players on the current roster
4. View roster of teams by clicking on them after the draft is over
5. Bio’s of the players when you click on them containing achievements, possible team fits and how they grade out in the combine, etc.
6. “Make an edit” feature for Bio’s where you can fix an incorrect stat, be approved and fix in the near future
7. Be able to add prospects in private contests and/or send them in to be approved and added to pool

What you could add on that isn’t currently in MockOut (or make a separate app containing this):
1. Have a “off-season mode” where you can sign Free Agents, trade players and manage cap of one team or the entire league
2. Off-season simulation on what team signs who depending on previous tendencies, strengths/weaknesses and wants
3. Percentage of how likely a trade, mock draft, FA signing would happen and if it would be a good/bad trade for either team and why
4. Regular season simulation based on what teams did to improve in the Off-season

My thoughts on MockOut :
I really like the potential of MockOut . Easy to use and fun. Little to no hassle making trades, drafting. Good interface, easy to control. Could become huge and the best app out there for mock drafts/simulation mode

I don’t like to be a critic especially since this is far and away the best app of this sort on the market and it does its job excellently. However, MockOut can be improved by a few small tweaks and fixes that think can make this perfect.
1) prospect rankings are still off from the generally agreed upon rankings. Guys like Conor Williams, Courtland Sutton, DeShon Elliot, Anthony Miller, Kerryon Johnson and Christian Kirk are too high. Guys like Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Derwin James and Sony Michel (maybe) are too low. Other than that most guys are spot on and I know it’s hard to keep updating the rankings but these are good enough for me to work with.
2) you could maybe include a little more than just the name of the school next to a prospect. Something like (Saquon Barkley, Penn State, Height, Weight, #1 RB). Nothing too complicated, but a simple little upgrade would be nice.
3) Maybe instead of just showing the top 4 picks of completed mock drafts, the top ten could be listed. I don’t really care that much as it is only one click away to see the full draft but I would appreciate it if you did the top ten instead.

Otherwise Great App. Keep up the good work

1) What are these rankings? I would live to know how you ordered these because they are not very good.
2) Add Team Needs- I know on a lot of other mock draft sites, team needs are provided to aid in making selections.
3) Big Boards- Allow the user to either design a custom big board or let them decide between a variety of big boards made by other draft databases.

I think these 3 changes could bring MockOut to the top. I would also recommend adding a web version, but that’s not a major concern.

This is the single best way to do mock drafts I have come across, from the trade function to the depth of players available MockOut is my go to for all my mock drafts. The support is excellent as well, if you’re doing a full mock and can’t find the player you’re looking for I just emailed them and they added the player very quickly. I don’t normally write reviews but before I found this app I had to type my entire mock drafts and no other platform was nearly as good.

I really enjoy MockOut, I already have multiple early mocks for this year done, and the free agent predictions are fun, but I am turned off by the fact that I apparently van’t do a full 7 round draft, or even a 3 round draft. I see the option but it is grayed out. Unsure if it will unlock closer to the draft or if it is unavailable now but will be added soon. Otherwise this a five star app that will only get better if they add more features.

MockOut is just such an excellent idea. Never experienced any bugs with it, and the most recent update to MockOut just took everything to the next level. I love joining leagues with friends and the unlimited amount of mocks I can make. Makes it very much like March Madness for me, except it’s for the draft. If your as into the draft as I am, you need look no further than this app.

This is such a good app and a FREE one at that. While some things like customizing your own big board or your top 10 per position is not on MockOut . I’ve talked to one of the creators and they say features like that are on the way. Twice I’ve asked for them to look into players who weren’t on their big board and twice they’ve added players. I’m very happy and this makes my job a lot easier!

If you love making mock drafts this is easily your app. There are obviously a few little things that are frustrating but overall very happy with MockOut and the quick responses from the developers to fix problems. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in apps of this type.

I am in love with mock drafts, and when this new app came in I downloaded it immediately. It works great, it does its function, but I have a few problems with the troubles of it.

1) If you close MockOut and don't open it back up immediately, you have to login again. It's annoying to log in every single time

2) If you look at other people's mock drafts, or simply try to scroll through mocks, it is so slow. I can barely look at drafts, that's not fun either

3) This isn't as a big deal, but the scoring is confusing, but it's fine

These flaws can easily be changed, and this definitely should be 5 stars.

Great potential and base structure for MockOut . I would add the NHL draft into your app. If it was added that would be perfect. You could always have articles of current expert mock drafts or projected draft round for players. Other than that I think you would get millions of new users if MockOut had an option for the nhl draft.

I love MockOut and how easy it is to use but sharing it to social media platforms, especially Instagram is rather difficult and a little bit unorganized so if that could be addressed MockOut would be absolutely phenomenal.

Im a draft nerd and wish they had one for the baseball draft as well, but that’s just me lol. I love how it’s updated constantly with players and draft orders. Can’t wait for the 7 round NFL draft to open up!

I mean I can’t complain. I looked up a mock draft app and I got one. I just need an updated list. What I really want is to not see Micheal Penix on the bottom. I want him removed. And all of the other players that changed their mind. Just lookup a list on peoples seven round mock draft and get ideas.

This is the best app for making NFL and NBA mocks. It’s easy to use and lets save all your mocks in one place. It still needs to add multi rounds, team needs. And add other sports like mlb and nhl. It’s a great idea and i can’t wait for the next update.

Really like MockOut . Simple but good. Much better once the trading update came. The only negative is that it’s just NFL and NBA. But mainly because they are closer and what most people follow. All in all if you like sports and offseason aspects it’s a good app to try.

I love the layout of MockOut and the board has improved, but it’s shut down randomly on me twice tonight both in the middle of me making a 2 round mock. I lost all my progress both times and had to start over.

Such an awesome app. No idea how they’re the only app that allows u to create your own mock drafts. Can setup draft pick trades also. Spoke to someone from their CS team and they said they are working to improve MockOut tremendously by the start of 2020 season

MockOut is good, but it needs one improvement, multiple round drafts. They should right before you start a mock draft give you a choice on how many rounds you want to do.

For my Instagram page “nbadraftscouting” I use MockOut for my mock drafts and it’s an amazing app to use! Has a good cover and very simple with every player on it! Best app to use for football and basketball!

I can't believe this game didn't already exist! The interface is intuitive and the game is easy to understand. It also has a really clean and slick look.
