PrivacyStar does exactly what it claims to do! I was recieving "free crusie" offers several times a week, and since I've downloded PrivacyStar a few weeks ago, I haven't recieved a single one! The lookup sometimes has odd names, but overall PrivacyStar works exceptionally well. After measuring for a few days, it takes less than 4% of my battery over the course of the day.

I would occasionally experience a reboot as described in some other reviews, but since upgrading iOS I haven't had the problem any more!

My iPhone 6SPlus is running iOS 13.3 and suddenly will NOT run the this app app.
NOTE: Found a fix for this if anyone else is having the same issue - I uninstalled and then reinstalled PrivacyStar and it’s working again. Weird.

I have a subscription and have been quite satisfied with the reduction of unwanted calls - BIG improvement!

So I wanted to give PrivacyStar about 6 months before reviewing, here's what I think so far. So the protection has been adequate at best. And, while I still get tons of robocalls, I do know that indeed PrivacyStar is working because of all of the privacy star voicemails. But that isn't my gripe. It's that fact that Mr. Number does the exact same thing as this but for FREE!!! Couple that with the fact that caller id never works and protection that is sub par at best is the reason for that 2 stars lol. Oh yeah and by the way I remember using Mr. Number from my blackberry days so there's another option that has been around for just as long if not longer that is completely free while giving similar if not better results.

The caller ID warnings work well. However, without any warning, PrivacyStar took over my voicemail, so they were no longer showing up on my phone app, and callers were no longer hearing my outgoing message, instead they were hearing a generic message from this company. Not to mention the privacy issues with storing my voicemails on this company’s servers instead of the carrier’s servers. That is totally unacceptable! I’m turning off PrivacyStar until these things are changed.

I love this. Downloaded it 4 days ago and haven’t been bombarded with 8 to 9 useless calls a day. I am 61 and all I get are robo calls and people trying to sell me Medicare programs all day while I am at work. Told my coworkers about it today cause they are young and had robo calls all day. They downloaded PrivacyStar immediately!

The other day I opened this app to do a lookup and noticed it got a huge update! Since then, I’ve noticed I’m receiving better coverage for Caller ID AND it shows an image with it! How cool?! It’s been a while since the apps been updated but this makes it worth the wait!

I was about to lose my mind or change phone numbers before I discovered PrivacyStar. Since downloading, I have received almost no spam calls. If I do get one, I put the number in and block, and the problem goes away.

Privacy Star app caught the call and displayed the pharmacy was calling. Without this feature, I would have missed my refill order in a timely manner.

Exactly one day after downloading PrivacyStar, I started getting all kinds of bogus texts that were clearly trying to data mine my information.

If you do download PrivacyStar , make sure you go through signing up for them to not sell your data. I think it’s ridiculous, though, that they sell your information to the same companies they’re stating they’re trying to stop for you.

I signed up because they advertised a free 30-day trial. It's my first time using PrivacyStar , and they charged me immediately and gave me no trial. I couldn't find any way to submit a ticket, so I guess I'm out of luck.

I used this companies website a lot before they shut it down and forced people to start using PrivacyStar . Just downloaded PrivacyStar and every time I try to open it, it crashes my iPhone 6 Plus. My phone has the latest updates... first time ever experiencing this type of problem with an app. My rating is for PrivacyStar not the companies service. As I said I used to use their website and it worked great...

Thank you for keeping me organized And helping to protect me from unwanted calls.

Every spam and trolling calls have come through and PrivacyStar has not stop one of them. I have to manually add all the calls to PrivacyStar . The only saving grace is that I could look up the phone number on PrivacyStar and it gave me a place and somewhere to complain but the irony is that while looking the number up in most case the number is already considered spam yet it came through.

PrivacyStar blocks maybe 60% of the spam calls I get. Still allows far too many through, and I’m not sure my diligent reporting of these numbers does any good (to block them from calling others). Because I’m paying for this, I expected more.

Has saved me many hours by identifying and stopping scams and unwanted calls

I downloaded PrivacyStar , gave it all the notification permissions and access. I have had it for 4 days and not ONE CALL has been identified or shows up any different. It sure if something is wrong but it’s just taking up space and doing nothing. Don’t download

When I followed the instructions to set up a this app I get an error message and I am on able to allow privacy start to work. I’ve tried this multiple times with the same results. I’m truly disappointed.

Figured I try the pay version as it had the spoofed number protection but these spoofers are using the first 6 digits now and the protection only works for the first 8 rendering it useless.

I just get my database of blocked calls developed & it doesn't start so I have to delete PrivacyStar which also deletes my database. It happened 2x now.

It's been over a month & still crashes. It will not even start on 10.3
