Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Great for for the bus. Still has some issues with the L

This is a great interface and accuracy for the bus. However I’ve had issues with it showing accurate times for the L trains.

Awful awful awful

I had the old app called transit stop before it went haywire and then basically disappeared off ChicagoTransit Store bc I cant find it, and I guess it was replaced with ChicagoTransit which is hands down the most frustrating and insufferable app ever.
I am trying to ride the 152 but it only has times for the 152 going east.... I need to go west! And on top of that finding any bus routes is difficult because it will pull up other cities bus routes.... I’m in Chicago why would I need bus times for Kalamazoo riddle me that!
Transit stop app was so easy and simple, and always had the right times for the train and for the bus.
Oh also I commute around 5am and in the winter months having accurate train would be nice so I can be outside as minimally as possible. The only times ChicagoTransit said a train was coming during the 5am hour was 5:18 and 5:50..... incorrect! There’s normally 3/4 trains during the 5am hour, I had to guesstimate when I should leave. ChicagoTransit is an inconvenience and awful but I literally can’t find anything else that’s good.
I pay taxes damnit! I should have a functioning app the helps me plan what public transit I have to take that day!
It’s simple !!!

How did I miss this app before?

I’ve been using a cta tracking app for years and somehow never came across this one before- it’s awesome! On time, accurate and being able to watch the bus as it gets closer is a huge plus. Be careful though- sometimes that 4 minutes turns into 1 very quickly!

More reliable than google maps

Google and apple maps are a mess. ChicagoTransit is so useful when all I want to know is when the next bus is coming. It’s also much more accurate, while google maps have sometimes messed up the times completely.

Love this app

The only reason I found ChicagoTransit was because the Ventra app doesn’t work on the iPhone XS Max, and I needed an alternative. I can’t believe I never knew of ChicagoTransit. There are so many great features of ChicagoTransit, and it has accurate tracking as well. I’m never switching back. Nice work guys.

Better than the official app

This is far and away the best app I've used for navigating the CTA. But that being said, who do we have to do for an Apple Watch update?

I would gladly pay if it was made available in a future update.

Please fix a bug: Washington Blue line only shows schedule for one direction

Please fix a bug: Washington Blue line only shows schedule for one direction (to Forest Park/UIC-Halsted) and NOT the one heading O’Hare/Jefferson Park. I tried to submit this feedback through ChicagoTransit but it wouldn’t let me click “preview” on the ‘report issue’ page (lots of bugs)- please fix! Thanks

Nice app!

Easy to use! Even works great outside of Chicago!! I’m currently in Utah and ChicagoTransit gives me precise instructions on how to get “home.” A few buses and the Cal Zephyr and I’d be back in about 44 hours. Someday I’ll actually do it.

Mostly accurate

Mostly accurate, plus or minus 2 minutes (at least for CTA trains), but watch out for phantom trains and busses. It will say a train/bus is Due, but no train or bus ever shows up. Then it resets back to due in 6 or 8 minutes. Very frustrating.

Wrong information

ChicagoTransit would always give me the wrong information and I’m always late because of it. It used to be good but I don’t know why it started giving me wrong information.

Best late for work app ever

This bus prediction app would be so great if it actually predicted bus times. It’ll literally shows you approaching busses and trains that just doesn’t exist. It’s very unreliable, so if you have a lot of patience and a healthy sense of humor, use this one. Otherwise, find something else.

Does what you need

ChicagoTransit delivers to tell you how to go and gives times. It’s all you need and fare money

Not Bad !

I like this one more than many of the others. Sometimes bus times are off. Never had that happen when running this kind of App on a android phone. Despite this I think others will appreciate ChicagoTransit.
Cheers

Best local travel app available!

Super easy way to navigate around the city!

Not Up to Date

ChicagoTransit did not know about a recent outage on the pink train line. It also had connecting bus schedules wrong - so I was late for my appointment. My brother used Google maps to navigate the CTA and had no problems like this.
