Ok but needs lots of improvements.

STONE is good but it needs way more improvements. The stones need names next to them. When I’m in a rush and just want to read about a this app I don’t want to waste time guessing by pictures. ESP because not all of your pictures look exactly like the stones I have and know. This especially goes for new stones that I’m not familiar with. Secondly when I’m gravitating towards a this app I’d like to know why. When I research a this app I like to hear what draws a person to the this app. Am I being surrounded by negativity? Is it emotions? What elements are there that are at playing causing me to want that specific this app during this time. Then I’d like to here all that it’s good for. Also more pictures in the description would be nice. Pictures of it tumbled and raw and different photos because we all know how some stones can look very different. There isn’t enough info on the stones. For that I would rather just look it up in crystal vaults or another site rather then waste memory in my phone on STONE. I really hope u guys add these features because that would be amazing. If u do I’d even pay for STONE . It’s an awesome start to something that can be soooo amazing. Fingers crossed u guys update it to that in the future so I can put it on my phone.

Love it, but could benefit from some additional info

I absolutely love STONE so far and I'm hoping to see more minerals/crystals added soon! Very informative and the writing is done in a way that keeps my attention. Not to mention STONE is gorgeous! Love the badge icon and the layout is simple and of course easy to understand. I really like being able to search by "vibe" and name or a crystal!

Just a suggestion, I think it would be super beneficial to include a pronunciation under the name of the stones, because to some new comers to the metaphysical they are kind of hard to get a hang of! Another thing that might be cool is adding a section on how to cleanse and charge crystals, specific to certain types of stones as well (keep amethyst out of sunlight, malachite out of water, etc)

The best crystals app for woo-weirdos with a sense of humor

Y’all, I am LIVING for STONE. I recently got super into crystals and minerals, and while I appreciate and believe in their metaphysical powers, I don’t take myself too seriously and I’m not replacing medical care with magic rocks. The descriptions are both insightful and freaking hilarious. They sound like they were written by your snarky BFF who’s also a witch and also loves smack-talking reality TV with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Since I’m still learning, I am constantly checking the meanings and vibes of different stones and it’s super helpful to just open STONE . Perfect for when Judy Hall’s Crystal Bible (praise) is cumbersome or impractical, or you’d rather people not see you intently studying the meanings of your adored crystals. The database isn’t exactly comprehensive, and you won’t find every this app known to man, but it covers the most well-known, most-used all-star stones. If you have even a passing interest in crystal healing and other metaphysical woo-woo, you need STONE.

Heading in the right direction but needs work

STONE is beautifully laid out and I absolutely love the aesthetic. I love that you can search for the name of the this app or the “vibe” you need. The photos of the stones are great quality. I enjoy that some of the descriptions are silly and light hearted however.....

The descriptions need a bit more in them. Some of them have a lot of “history” and not much about the this app. I personally care more about the uses and how to reap the benefits of each this app. Possibly adding more uses for the this app.

Another thing: there are a lot of stones missing. This is a great start but I would use STONE a lot more if there were more stones added. I get frustrated when I jump between google and STONE because I might as well stay on google if this app doesn’t have what I need, even though I’d prefer to stay in STONE .

The photos: some of the stones are inherently similar, but makes it hard when you’re looking for say citrine, and it looks very similar to lemon quartz (although citrine isn’t in STONE). It would be nice to somehow distinguish the two look-a likes with either vastly different shapes or something.

With some improvements STONE could easily become my favorite.

4.5 Stars! Just one suggestion

I love STONE it has all the basics and it’s very clean and organized. I got my close friends and boyfriend to download STONE they all love to use it as an easy, quick reference. I would definitely give it 5 stars if only it let you personalize it and add your own entries as STONE doesn’t have all the crystals you may be looking for, but it would be nice if after you did your own research you could add the crystal you were looking for with your own description so it’s all in the same place and then you have it for future reference. This way your crystal selection could be as big as you want it to be and you wouldn’t ever need to stop using STONE cus it can constantly grow

Would happily pay for a wider database

I love the minimalist, functional UI and engaging writing style of STONE so much! The only issue is that the database is limited, but if a larger version was made available I would happily pay for it. Other possible additions include a collection shelf on which you can place STONE ’s image of crystal types you own, a wish list for crystals you’d like to add, and a way to interact with other users of STONE . It would also be helpful to be able to make suggestions for inclusion directly to the developer! (I feel the citrine photo is a bit too brown for citrine, more representative of smoky quartz than citrine’s shades of yellow.)

I love it but the database could be bigger!

Hello! I love what you’ve created here! It about time STONE Store has a good gemstone and mineral guide app that’s aesthetically pleasing. The only thing that o think could be done is to increase the database! There at the crystal bibles which span across three books! It was disheartening to see that there is no agate or Angelite, etc. I’m sure it takes time and of corse research to create a page for a this app so maybe you could have an “add this app for reference” option somewhere. That way one could write information about a this app and you could then have a good amount of data to paraphrase!

Really liked it

Very good start, very useful information. STONE can be improved by having an inventory feature were you can keep track of your crystals. Also more information about chakras, mantras, crystal cleansing, intention setting, and more crystals can be added; I think there should be more vibe options. App visuals are very aesthetic. STONE can also have a feature with information about what are the best crystals to match each crystal with. Overall really recommend STONE.

Great but too much F word, and not enough crystals

I love the layout, and the visuals. The writing is good and easy to understand but I think the writer uses the F word way too much. STONE, is supposed to give knowledge, words of serenity, and provide understanding of each crystal and what metaphysical gifts the stones bestow. I get that they are trying to reach a younger, hipper audience, but the fact that I fear reading each stones description, because seeing the F word again and again, makes for connecting with each this app a little awkward and uncomfortable to read. In other words: enough with the cussing bruh!

Meditation has never been any easier!!!!!

STONE is the door to enlighten your chakras with huge amount of abundance that I wish everyone would get. It’s pretty much the Bible of crystals and their meaning behind them. I will advise that STONE does contain some swearing so I wouldn’t recommend to 12 year old kids. I wish STONE wouldn’t suggested +12 as the age rate. More like 18 or up. But however STONE is the key to unlocking new things about the crystal magical powers that you may have never learned about.

My favorite crystal app! But consider adding a few more things.

I love STONE so much. I have very basic and very little knowledge of crystals but I am absolutely in love & drawn them. STONE is super cute and I love the layout. It would be cool to be able to bookmark them and have a little “my crystals” category or something so we can always go back to it to remember if we forget. Also the biggest downside to STONE is that is doesn’t have very many crystals on here at all :( the selection is quite small and kinda defeats it for me. Please add more soon! 💫

Looks good

I know I’m probably asking a lot (this isn’t part of my review,) but I actually was interested in a crystal app that lets you take a picture of a crystal, and suggests to you what this app it probably is from a database. If anyone can do this you are a god.

As for STONE, it has a nice interface and very helpful. However, I left off one star because it’s not much more than what you can glean from a website. To make it more interactive it would be nice to be able to add stones to your personal collection. Maybe even a wishlist.

Good but suggestions

I think the way the crystals are displayed and the descriptions (as well as tags) are AMAZING and that’s why STONE is so easy to use. Though there aren’t a ton of crystals on display I think you’ve done a good job. Though I recommend you to have a qna forum of some sort. I think it would be especially useful if you could ask questions and possibly identify crystals via photo. I appreciate STONE you created

Beautiful App and Concept

This is a beautiful app but only a fraction of this app of what is normally covered in a crystal encyclopedia. Hope the developer will expand the database and allow one additional sorting by colors so that STONE can also be used as an crystal identifier. (An analogous model for you, developer’s reference is the book “THE LAWS FIELD GUILD TO THE SIERRA NEVADA”. ). My suggestion is to keep this version for free and then the paid app to access the larger catalog without altering the structure and the interface. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the beautiful photos and clean interface!!!

Good start...

The UI definitely appeals to my minimalist sensibilities. I hesitate to suggest that the dev complicate it with extra features, but it would be nice to be able to see the this app name listed on a long press, or something.

I also wish STONE were slightly better optimized for iPad: landscape mode at least!

I’ll save my best suggestion for last: how about the ability to bookmark/favorite stones? Certain stones just call to me, and I’m now seeing the utility in collecting a sort of wish list of stones all in one place. Another cool thing would be pre made collections for various purposes, like Apache Tear, Turquoise, and Smoky Quartz for embodying your inner truth, perhaps. Like a digital medicine pouch! I love the combination of ancient earth wisdom and modern tech knowledge.

Edit: I just noticed “vibes” (when you tap a this app property icon), which is similar to my collection idea :)

Can we get favorites??

I love STONE! I always get overwhelmed trying to figure out which of my crystals I should use for what. So many of them have similar general purposes but STONE goes a little deeper into the purposes and uses. My only request is the addition of a favorites or library so I can store the info for crystals that I actually have instead of searching for them every time. Maybe also a visual for which part of the body the crystal works well with I.e. which chakra, etc.

Everything is great, so far no bugs, one thing though!

The interface is nice and clean, easy to navigate and not cluttered, beautiful pictures of crystals! One thing I wish is to be able to save crystals, I want to keep track of what crystals I have and be able to identify them all! To be able to scroll through a list of the ones I have and from there chose one to match my day would be super useful!

By

Finally! More would be nice though!

Just what I’ve been looking for! If I had more time on my hands I would make my own app.
I do wish there were more stones available and an option to look at more photos (but googling it is just fine).
Overall the interface and design is PERFECT. I love how pictures of stones are shown and you can scroll through with a nice design. The simple brief description is nice too. Sums up a lot versus searching on the internet and wasting time.

Great for quick reference

This is a great app for learning and for reference when you have seen something but don’t know the name. There are images to click on and then you get the name, description, and properties after. I do wish there was a wider variety, but it is still a work in progress and there are some unique ones on here. Highly recommend.

Very Helpful!

STONE can be really helpful when it comes to identifying rocks and crystals. I used it most recently while shopping at a rock and mineral show. My only complaint is that while searching for some crystals by name, i noticed that they don't have some crystals. i tried searching for onyx and a couple more unique stones and could not find them on STONE. would be awesome if they added more!!
