I found this game on the news app. I read up about it and it is actually based on true events, like it says. The amount of people immediately assuming that this game is propaganda for no reason is just stupid and sickening. Our society is getting more and more toxic and it breaks my heart to see people like this. I love this game/story, and I wish you the best!

The story and the mechanics were great and the execution was awesome. I feel the gameplay could have been a little longer to flush out the story more. More gameplay to tell the story more would have been very beneficial. Either way amazing job to the team! :D

While I can hardly imagine the horror of living in a war zone this was a poor attempt at demonstrating that. The entire game takes about 10 minutes to complete. There’s zero challenge or thinking involved. The developers could have built something quite different and engaging with the same storyline but they fall short here.

I never knew that an app on my phone could make me feel so alone, sad, and make me feel like I’m praying for my life may God bless those who sadly have to face tragic events like this in real life🙌🏻

I never thought a game I downloaded from LiylaandTheShadowsofWar Store would make me emotionally vulnerable like this one did. Inshallah Palestine will be free and these heinous war crimes will come to an end.

This game is truly amazing. Gives you a brief understanding of what our brother and sisters are facing of the daily in Palestine, you have my respect. May god bless you.

I just know that the war is so terrible and devastating ,that would kill the children,women and innocent people who that they have not any options at the start and end of the war!!!
But you should know it was an amateur performance and absolutely we could try the other ways to impress people. But anyway, congratulations on your new anti-war movement ...

I just downloaded this game, and it is actually one of the best games ever. Maybe most of people won’t understand what I really mean because I am playing this game and my emotions are wallowing around just for the idea that this happens in my hometown country.

Boooooring!!! No gameplay, no history. Another miss try for “serious” game under the mask of a political side.

first and foremost, this really isn't much of a game despite being free...the concept and ideas are flawless, but if this would have been turned into a full length game where you use stealth and make hard decisions throughout the game - to me that would have made this a masterpiece. But I give the developer credit for making such an honest 'game' as more of these need to be made...so last thought to the developer, if you were to remake the game and stretch it out to a full length game with some polish around the gameplay, I'd gladly pay 5 bucs as you have something really special here...it reminds me of 'this war of mine' in a way as its from the perspective of the civilians.

This “game” isn’t really a game – it’s a beautifully drawn interactive comic. Beyond that however, it is a propaganda tool that includes at least two completely unprovoked attacks, one on a UN school and the other on a group of children playing football on the beach. I can appreciate the benefits of conveying the horrors of armed conflict and living under battle-zone conditions, but the inclusion of these unprovoked attacks on the most innocent of targets is nothing more than spreading untruths and furthering the myth of Palestinians as pure and innocent victims. It’s a shame really, as this “game” could have helped people all over the world understand the horrors of living in a war zone, but instead it appears more focused on spreading the hatred of Israel as a big, bad state willing to indiscriminately harm civilians, targeting schools and children.
Apple should be ashamed for allowing such a one-sided, brazen tool of propaganda to be published in its store.

I don't understand how the portrayal of an experience is propaganda. The fact that so few people understand this experience is what I would spend more time mulling over. I don't understand why humanity is lost on those who know what it's like to have their humanity stripped. We should be kind to each other - and unkind to suppression and intimidation. For those who gave it one star because you don't feel like being bummed or judged - shame on you.

Liyla and The Shadows of War is a moving work of art dealing with the Palestinian conflict and the toll of human lives that the war incurs.

The artwork is stunning, the music fitting, and the story poignant. You should definitely play through it.

However, this is barely a "game". The entire experience is about 10 minutes. The interactive sections are extremely brief, with nothing more complicated than walking and pushing a button on the screen when prompted.

Maybe will be good propaganda one day but needs better animations and a gravity ,"based on true events" you should definitely put more work into this maybe episodic thing? Overall right now this is garbage but all those bombs that where dropped on thousands upon thousands of innocent people is really sad just to kill some thugs with pkms an aks only ... :/

As others have noted, this isn't a traditional 'game'. It's more important than that, as it puts you through real events that give you at least some impression of what it is like to be a civilian family living in a war zone. You don't play it because it is fun, you play it to try to understand, and learn its story.
