Like fIlling a bucket with a hole in it

This review is for the FREE version of DailyWaterTrackerReminder, which is the problem with DailyWaterTrackerReminder. No where in the description did I see that DailyWaterTrackerReminder would stop working unless I either paid $1.99 or gave a 5-star review. And this is the reason I believe DailyWaterTrackerReminder is rated so high.

To be fair, DailyWaterTrackerReminder does what it says - it is easy to use with a simply slide to record water intake. It has a simple, attractive design and makes it simple to know exactly where you stand against your daily intake goal. The constant cheering and confetti rewards quickly grew old but could have been overlooked.

I simply can't recommend an app that allows me to use for a few days and then informs me to access my data and continue using I must either purchase or rate with 5 stars. If I had known up front that this was the case and paid the Pro fee, I beleive I would have rated DailyWaterTrackerReminder much higher as it does do what it claims.

Excellent App

I absolutely love DailyWaterTrackerReminder. Before downloading it, it was hit or miss with the water intake but I sincerely wanted to be good to and express gratitude for my body and give it what it needs and DailyWaterTrackerReminder, with its built in incentives, assists and applauds me as I attempt to reach my goal each day.

On the one hand, I was a bit surprised when I opened DailyWaterTrackerReminder this morning and learned that continued use was conditional but on the other, I understand and will not give it a lesser rating because DailyWaterTrackerReminder does deliver. Perhaps the conditions could be stated before one downloads it.

Thank you kindly for such a helpful tool. I have recommended it to my family, friends and colleagues.

Ok, I feel really duped.

I’d have given DailyWaterTrackerReminder 5 stars, but there is some false advertisement going on here. I’ve been using the tracker for a couple of weeks and just decided to upgrade. I went in, paid the $1.99 for “Water Tracker Pro,” as stated in the description of DailyWaterTrackerReminder , and all it did was remove ads, which were perfectly fine, in my opinion, and I used to click on some, thinking it was good for their affiliation. Now I can’t look at my history or adjust settings without paying .99 for some subscription?? No subscription was ever mentioned in the “In-App Purchases” section or anywhere in DailyWaterTrackerReminder before now. I never would have downloaded DailyWaterTrackerReminder had I known that there would be more strings, or that the Pro level was only to remove ads. I’m not pleased.

5 stars - Arm Twisted.

I am writing this 5 star review so I can continue using DailyWaterTrackerReminder without paying $1.99. I like DailyWaterTrackerReminder . It's very simple to track water intake and does its job. I don't like that when I downloaded DailyWaterTrackerReminder , it didn't mention anything about using the trial. Today when I logged in, there was a message saying that I had 2 options if I wanted to continue using DailyWaterTrackerReminder : 1.) Leave a 5 star review 2.) Pay $1.99. So here I am, leaving a review because yes, I'm cheap and don't want to pay $2 for a water tracker.

In closing, I actually do like DailyWaterTrackerReminder but maybe not $2 worth.

Great

I am required to write a five star review in order to continue using DailyWaterTrackerReminder for free. That said, I am quite pleased with DailyWaterTrackerReminder. It is easy to use and accurate. I tried another one that I did not like and deleted. But I think set as long as I continue to use DailyWaterTrackerReminder to measure my water consumption without problems then there is no need to delete it. The main thing that I like about it is that it doesn't take a lot of time and a lot of aggravation to use DailyWaterTrackerReminder . And the applause every time I add water is a nice touch!

It's just okay

I'm deleting DailyWaterTrackerReminder today after using it for about a month.
Here's why I don't recommend it:

1) After 5 days of using the free app you are REQUIRED to leave a 5 star review to keep using it for free. So the ratings you see are forced on the user (who wants to use only free apps) by the developer.

2) The notification settings do not work. I've tried to reset and save them multiple times. So, unless you want "Drink! Drink! Drink!" Popping up on your phone (and, in my case, also your Apple Watch) every hour, on the hour, then you probably don't want to install it.

3) There is no way to manipulate the Applause sound (to turn it forever and completely off). So, if you forget to mute your phone then anyone around you will hear the sound of clapping and applause whenever you add water. Kind of embarrassing.

All that being said, I did like the body graphic and it was somewhat motivating to try and fill up the body each day. That's why I rated it two stars instead of one star. Unfortunately that is not enough to incentivize me to keep it in view of the other two annoyances.

Cute but ultimately deleted

I liked the graphics of the body filling with water and the little celebration every time I drank water and entered it.
However, the graph only showed by years instead of daily, showing 7 Dec 21sts, so it didn't show anything. Because I haven't been using it for 7 years....
And if you did anything else in DailyWaterTrackerReminder besides enter water, ads immediately popped up. I understand it's a free app, but EVERYTIME I use ANY feature? No thank you.
This is basically click bait to get you to simply buy the upgrade/premium app. What garbage. I ended up getting My Water Balance instead. Still has an option to upgrade, with nice features, but the basic free app is still really nice to use.

A fun app

Hi all, DailyWaterTrackerReminder is a great. The only thing that is a little off is that it requires you to write a 5 star review in order to keep using the free version which is a little off putting. However, I would give it 5 stars even if I didn't have to in order to keep using it. It really is a fun way to track your water intake and I love the little celebrations it gives you when you complete your goal for the day! Making sure I drink half my body weight in ounces of water each day has never been so positive.

By

Does what it says

Basically it does everything it says it will and nothing more. Which isn't a complaint, obviously, but I prefer apps that are more. Health directed. Maybe something that will determine how much water you should be drinking based on your weight/activity level/etc
Otherwise, it's pretty nice. I like how the water fills up in a graphic, the visual is very helpful in motivating me to keep drinking water. The only real downturn is its requirement to give it a 5 star rating to continue using, or pay $2.

Want to continue use

I'm writing this review so that I can access the premium content. I love how easy DailyWaterTrackerReminder makes it to track water and enjoy the "celebration" when I log my water. I find that I look forward to it lol. Also, I like the visual of the water filling up the silhouette of a person. For me, I'm reminded that this water is needed in my body. It's not just something we do because we are suppose to. We do it because we feel better when properly hydrated

Love this app!

I absolutely love DailyWaterTrackerReminder! And I love that it reminds me to drink water through out the day. I am someone who doesn't much care for water..sad, I know lol, but true. And the reminders actually help! Also, every time you add water that you've drank, to your chart, it kind of celebrates with you and there's cheering and confetti and blah blah blah lol...to some that may be cheesy but I love it. It feels like I'm being rewarded for drinking water and when you drink your complete goal for the day, it celebrates with you even more lol. I love it.

Encouraging App

Rather than wait to review to get free use, I’d like to share that I am enjoying DailyWaterTrackerReminder. The notifications encourage me to pour and drink another glass of water at times that I’ve deemed appropriate throughout the day. I only wish that it would synch between my Apple iPad and iPhone. Also one suggestion for a fix: allow 12 PM to be entered and accepted. At this time, the PM converts to AM and I wouldn’t like a notification at midnight. A quick fix is to enter 11:59 PM! Otherwise, a perfect score!

Three cheers for the Water Tracker!

Lots of apps help you track water intake. Normally after about three entries, I lose interest. DailyWaterTrackerReminder keeps it really simple shows very clearly how much water you had and how much more you need to reach your goals for the day,AND my favorite part – each time you enter water unit kit confetti and clapping and Cheering. It's not super loud or obnoxious, it's just enough to make you smile. And go drink more water. And isn't that what this is all about? I love that little motivation.

Manipulative but good

This is literally the first review I've ever written in DailyWaterTrackerReminder Store, and I'm doing it because it's the free way to get to the "full version" of DailyWaterTrackerReminder which they don't warn you about until you've already logged your data for quite a while. It's really manipulative and not a great business practice.

That being said, it's a good app that does what it says, so I don't feel that bad giving it 5 stars in terms of actual functionality. JUST BE AWARE THAT IT IS NOT ACTUALLY FREE.

Good App

I really like DailyWaterTrackerReminder. It's easier to use than some that I've used before. I like that you can easily put in the amount of water that you drank versus other apps that have set amounts you must choose from. I would give DailyWaterTrackerReminder a five star rating, but the fact that they make you choose between paying for DailyWaterTrackerReminder or leaving the rating makes me upset. People should be allowed to voice their own opinions freely. I bet if they took that away, they would naturally get five star ratings.

Don't be fooled by the star ratting

This only has such a high rating because they force you to use it free with lots of ads. If you just want to see how many oz went down your throat and can see a 7 and 30 day record by all means a good app. But you put up with ads until you pay, and I do mean ads at every screen. I would pay for DailyWaterTrackerReminder if it included body mass makeup, age, activity, temperature of environment. A nice add on would be types of drinks, water, coke, diet drinks, caffeine or alcoholic drinks. But without body makeup and environment it is hard to say how much you should have. This would have to be known in advance and keep it in mind.

Wish I had read the reviews first!

Like many others have said: If you would like to continue to use DailyWaterTrackerReminder for free you must, at some point, write a 5 star review.
DailyWaterTrackerReminder is great and very easy to use and even gives you an average number of ounces consumed, which I find very helpful.
I have no complaints.
I simply wish there was a warning stating that it was only a free trial, but I get it. Do what you gotta do to get those 5 stars!
It's obviously working!

By

You only get this free is you give them 5 stars

I think it's shady to only allow someone to use your app for free if you give them 5 stars. That's not getting genuine reviews. DailyWaterTrackerReminder is fine, I give it 4 stars. It's constantly telling me to drink even if I just recorded 24 oz. I think it should only give you a reminder if it's been a certain period of time since you last recorded your water. I do like the confetti and cheers I get from recoding water. Lol

👍🏼

I was promoted to either write a 5 star review or pay $1.99 to continue using the pro version of DailyWaterTrackerReminder . I wasn't even aware that I had been using a trial, because there was no mention of that upon download. I downloaded DailyWaterTrackerReminder to make sure I was drinking enough water and it does a good job keeping track of that. It does give you reminders throughout the day to "drink! drink! drink!" which is helpful, but I doubt I'd pay $1.99 for DailyWaterTrackerReminder.

Stay out of the hospital

I got DailyWaterTrackerReminder after a 3-day visit in the hospital. Ischemic colitis caused by dehydration took me down. Getting reminders to “drink drink drink” may be annoying but it really works for me. Going back to previous days is important for me because I often forget the last update. It would be helpful to have a linear chart of the days results over some period of time but that’s just my analytical self talking. Good app!
