Flipboard and other sites list it as on sale for free this week but the moment you click on any of the features it says you have to pay. I don’t mind paying for apps but not when they try to trick you into paying. Very shady. Dot purchas

Depello is horrible. Not only do they make you pay $1.99 for this, they have an inn-app purchase.
And there’s nothing precise. You can’t do anything manually without the purchase.
The auto is really crappy.
So this literally might be worth $2 altogether,but not 4.
Shame the developers, I am highly disappointed and disgusted in Depello.

So you can’t do these things without the purchase:
Draw where you want the color to be at.
Color it with different colors.

So pretty much all you get is an AUTO thing and that is very disappointing. Not worth $2 for Depello itself at all!

I’m glad that I didn’t waste my money and got this on a day that was free. Phew!

Just installed to check it out, however when you tap on the color wheel I get a up saying install previous purchase. Unable to pick any colors, shame it looks like it could have been a great app to keep

Extremely simple to use and produces good results. However, the mask tool is way too large in diameter to do any detailed edge masking and prevents any “tight” masking at picture’s border.

If Depello would allow you to use all the features at least once. You would be able decide if it's worth a .99 cents upgrade. It has the potential to be very simple to use and allow you to create great photos. But since you have to upgrade to get all the additional functions you need it's hard to rate Depello accurately.

Depello is awesome and easy when it works, but as of now, when I try and open a photo it says “something went wrong”.

Also, the support link goes to a website that is not hosted.

If these are fixed I’ll change my review!

Would totally upgrade if there was an option to a) pick more than 1 color, and b) have more fine control over color selection.

Good program, there is only one problem :
The selection of photos from the gallery is limited to camera roll and does not recognize other files.

Would be nice to have an eraser to get rid of some areas that retain color.... unless I don’t see it yet in Depello

Surprisingly perfect and intuitive and effective, single purpose and does it exactly right. Not only do you just touch the color to isolate, the slider let’s you instantly play with all the levels of color exclusions and pick what you like, and then just save it. Never crashes. Runs extremely fast- literally no lag at all. Kudos to the developer. Truly rare app.

Keep your expectations realistic and you'll like Depello. It's not Photoshop but on the other hand it requires neither the time nor skill that pro apps mandate. It has only one fine tuning control so some photos will look great while others will disappoint. I like it for quick and dirty social media posts.

Once you get through a small learning curve, making color objects over black and white background with ease of slider button, it is amazingly simple.

I may upgrade because the free version worked flawlessly. It let me isolate 1 color, removed the rest from the image. Then let me save with no issue.

The result was perfect.

I use this a lot in combination with other photo editing apps. It’s very easy to use and cool to be able to change the colors with the paid version.

It would be nice to have black and white added to the color editor.
