Amplified Bible with Audio Reviews

I installed AmplifiedBiblewithAudio for one reason: because it has an option to hear the Amplified Bible read for you. However I found that although many choices of different male and female voices with either British or American accents can be selected, irrefutably, and distractingly not a single one of them even is a real person – they are all of an archaic artificial computer generated type that because of that fact unavoidably grates on my nerves, and is very, very disruptive making the capability completely useless to me. Apple’s SIRI in comparison is far more real sounding than any one of those artificial ones you have on here to chose from. Please take the time, and resources to create audio of even just one living, breathing American male, and/or one living, breathing American female even to choose from instead of all those nerve grating primitive artificial voices. To me they all have the same highly distractive “fingers being scraped down a chalkboard effect on my nerves, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that regard!

I have found with all the Bible apps this one is the easiest to maneuver. It has numerous translations for good references, my only caution is to aware of some of the translations: wording could not be what KJV is. That is my only concerns. We have to be wise in what translation we choose. I choose KJV because I know it is the closest to the original translation from the Hebrew writings. I do however read another translation if I need easier clarity of a verse but, I do make sure it has not taken out important words like the blood, Jesus name, the cross, or changes words to make them have different meanings. A few have concerned be but just be wise and ask the Holy Spirit for clarity. God bless! Jesus is Lord!!!

There are many versions and interpretations have been in serious controversy and opinion and war over this throughout the beginning of time all versions of Scripture is spiritual leave the words and interpretation of man/woman alone develop a spiritual relationship with God is going to teach you what you need to know what you need to do and that's it leave religion alone titles of he/she interpretations translations?? Flesh and blood only develop your relationship with God and him only not with man or his opinions or interpretations and that's all I have to say about that. Forrest Gump

I am grateful to have this version in a portable form. Sometimes when someone makes a comment or I see something on TV or hear something on the radio, it reminds me of a passage of Scripture and I want to read it with all of the nuances or possible interpretations at once. I don’t want to have to write it down...go home...pull out my Amplified Bible...look up the passage and them try and remember what it was I was wondering about an hour ago. It’s convenient. Thank you developers for creating it.

Yes, without exaggeration: this Bible app has been of great help to my word study life. Today, I can’t do without it in a day. And for the highlight option, you don’t have to worry on looking up what you highlighted yesterday because it as a ready made list for all your highlight as often as you do the highlights. In order to be chosen by God to spread The Word 1st you must understand The Word. This bible goes into a deeper meaning of God’s Word than every other Bible except maybe the Commentary.

I read many different translations of the Bible and have consistently favored The Amplified Bible because it is translated from the original greek and hebrew languages.

It enables me to understand the Bible much better, as it uses accurate descriptions of measurements, coinage, cultural and social mores, historically accurate time tables, maps, and references that clarify and “bring to life” scripture in a way that no other translation does.

Reading this Bible for the past 30 years has allowed me to really come to know and trust The Lord and His Word.

We have become a society dependent on our phones for everything from buying groceries to having a cheeseburger delivered to our front door. Now, we have an app that connects us with God’s word. Easy to use and the view can be customized for those of us who just can’t see that good anymore. As we continue to be consumed by the world around us, use your phone to open God’s word!!

While reading for my BSF I found that my Bible was too heavy.
however I find this book is easier to use. I use it with a black background which makes the words pop out.l also like that I can also listen, the first time I used the feature it put me to sleep. My husband woke me up taking my reading glasses off while asking me what was he hearing. It had advanced 20 chapters. Thank you, Niki

I bought it 1/2 price, from a ‘ bargain table’ at the end of ‘Camp-meeting’.
It was of a much better quality leather than I had ever had before, and I knew nothing about the word, Amplified! But I read what the authors had written and liked what they said !
I have worn it out, and sent it off to be re-bound. And it’s almost ready for a second re-binding!
I only wish that I had written in it the date that I bought it, ‘cause I don’t know how old it is exactly ! I’m 89 now, and I take my ‘Amplified Bible with me always. I have bought many, as gifts for pastor’s and teachers, and friends !
I really appreciate the multiple meaning of words ; they enhance my understanding !

I got the Amplified Bible version and we all know it is a longer read than KJ. I would like to be able to bookmark how far I am in my reading. For example, if a I read 4 days worth and get ahead, I see no way of bookmarking and determining how far ahead I am. You have to go back to reading plan, scroll the arrow to determine how how far you have read. Then you have to remember what book and verse you left at.

It would be nice to see exactly how far you have read at the reading point.

The Amplified Bible is VERY helpful for understanding words and statements made—wonderful for the person that needs understanding at the beginning of their road to salvation and food for understanding for those already saved by Christ Jesus —-HOWEVER for those that do not read so well the person that does the voice for audible is very hard to understand—her accent is very heavy and does NOT help the understanding of the Word —-

In the pages of His word God has provided wisdom ,& strength to overcome the pitfalls of this world and the Amplified Bible explains better than any other version I've ever read. Thank you for providing this version on my phone so I can carry it with me where ever I go with out having to carry a heavy book. You have increased my ability to get the strength I need in every situation.

I think this is a Good version of the Bible . Anything that helps people understand God's Word , I'm all for it. I'm a Bible teacher , and I would recommend it to anyone . It's a Great app. It's easy to highlight verses and make notes . I would also recommend reading it along with other translations ( compare it ) when ever I hear someone say they can understand the Bible , I tell them to read The Amplified version . Thanks for such a great app.

I like that I get the easy navigation of all electronic bibles, but the added feature of being able to have the words read to you is amazing. I don’t mind the ads at the bottom, they are not in my way and if they ever do get annoying I have the option to buy out.

I’ve been looking through Bibles at our church and on different phones that people have. Matthew 17:21 Has been removed from a lot of these Bibles! And it’s heartbreaking to see the amplified and King James version both have it in there. It makes me very proud to have this copy and be able to read it because it expounds on the Scriptures and makes it easier to understand.

I love this version of the Bible. I have been using this version for many years, along with other versions, but the Amplified Bible is the Book that I read daily. I love how it brings the message home to the reader in a simple form, it is most encouraging to read. I love the scripture references, as it gives more understanding and insight through the various dispensations to some extent. Thank you so much for AmplifiedBiblewithAudio.

So far I love AmplifiedBiblewithAudio because it sends me a reminder to read the Bible, and when having a trouble time in life, it’s nice to have a reminder. I also really love the Amplified Bible because it is easier to understand than some of the other Bibles. So far I have to say this is a wonderful app. I highly recommend.

I've used a hard copy Amplified for years and this digital version is a wonderful blessing as well. I have the audio option activated when working out on the treadmill. The only suggestion I would offer is to have an option to skip passage references after verses. It is somewhat disconcerting (at least for me) by altering the continuity of the scripture being read.

I completely enjoy reading the Amplified version of the Bible. It’s my favorite version. When reading it gives me the essence of a three course meal because the content is so rich in virtue and meaning. Thank you for making this version available so we can read it enjoy reading it on our devices.

I really like this bible because it spells everything out that you may not understand Adds a lot of other words to give your more ways to accept what the word really means Zi have had three of them and still love it I think young people in God would really appreciate it and understand it better Helps you to grow and grasp Gods Holy Word as real and truth Thank you

I’ve been using this translation since the 70’s because it does not paraphrase. A group of people from different denominations came together to translate simply from the original languages, not assuming the intent but giving possible meanings from the root words from the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. No concern for this translation. Read with a open heart and God will do the rest.

This was s the best App I have on my phone. I use it all the time especially when I am walking my frequent 6-10 or even more miles weekly exercise tour.
It is also my soothing friend before I go to bed.
Great App which makes the Bible even much more enjoyable to understand. The sound is also excellent.

AmplifiedBiblewithAudio really helps me build my faith wherever I’m at or whatever I’m doing. I can turn on the audio and listen to Word of God or I can speak the word, the only con I have with AmplifiedBiblewithAudio is the ads, which you have to purchase the upgrade to AmplifiedBiblewithAudio to get rid of the ads. Aside from that very good and faithfilled Word of Faith.

How can you criticize the word of God? But I can’t criticize the fact that I got AmplifiedBiblewithAudio for the ability to have it read to me and there doesn’t seem to be any way to actually trying it on. I have everything set up in the settings, but no play button shows up when I actually tried to go do a specific chapter. Maybe there was an issue with uploading it to the store; hopefully this can be resolved right away.

You can choose what dialect or language. It has been a blessing. I like that way the audio follows the written word exactly by scrolling down each scripture.
You can swipe to go from page to page or use the table of contents to go to a chapter easily.

It’s great to have the word of GOD Available at all times with you. You can read at anytime. You can seek questions and get your answers. You can share it with those around you. It can heal you of any attack that wants to hurt you. It also Reminds me of who I Am In My lord and Savior Jesus !
