Not compared with iPhone X and later version. Crashes a lots! No parking address for most hunting area.

Terrible app! And it's available for every state. It's unfortunate NewYorkFishandWildlifeApp represents NY state as the official app on top of that NewYorkFishandWildlifeApp has ads.

Seems like it would be good, but has a few major flaws.
Should note, that I intended to use this to scout publish fishing access easements.
Problems:
Seems like you have to literally be in the area with rod in hand to populate the map with access spots nearby. Not great for preseason scouting.
Cannot just open a map of the state and see pins with access points and explore from there.
The “Where to Fish” tab for streams is just a list of stream. I have no idea where some of these are, and would like to see a map version of that list for the entire state.
Overall, NewYorkFishandWildlifeApp could be useful, but it would be great if DEC made access data public as a KML file so a person could populate more powerful GPS apps like Gaia and OnX with their own layers.

Everything is right at your fingertips, no need to go through the booklet anymore. Plus everyone has there phone on them, not everyone has the rule book with them. They need to update the youth hunting seasons from 2016 to the new year

NewYorkFishandWildlifeApp has been my favorite app on my phone ever since I saw it I use it mainly for fishing with occasional hunting now I don’t have to go to the dec web site to know the exact size I can take or if the stripper and fluke season is over
