“Unfiltered” Means No Facts, Not No Spin

2026-03-31

by Jamesy003

The administration calls this app “straight from the source, no filter.” That’s exactly the problem. What they’re describing as a feature is actually the whole complaint: a government-funded platform designed to deliver curated propaganda directly to your phone while bypassing the press, accountability, and anything resembling independent verification.

The app includes an ICE tip line — so alongside your live streams and photo galleries, you can report your neighbors to federal immigration enforcement. That’s the “two-way engagement” they’re selling.

The administration frames the app as “cutting through the noise with unfiltered, real-time updates straight from the source,” but what it actually delivers is a single-source feed with no opposing viewpoint, no fact-check, and no accountability. That’s not access — that’s a press release dressed up as news.

Meanwhile, the real-world record: a Fox News poll released this week shows the president at 41% approval and 59% disapproval — his highest disapproval of either term. Turns out Americans don’t need an app to form an opinion; they’re watching prices, watching courts, and watching what happens when executive power goes unchecked.

The administration did not disclose usage metrics or long-term data plans for the platform. So you’re handing your data and your notification permissions to a political operation that won’t tell you what it does with either.

One star. The government already has a website. This is just a reelection machine with push notifications.

Trumps Fake News app

2026-04-01

by John Locket

First with True Social and now with The White House app, Trumps attempts to control the MAGA narrative with this propaganda app. Using cherry picked articles and statistics to push a narrative of American stability and strength under his presidency. Whether I or you agree or disagree with that narrative doesn’t matter. What matters to me is that are leaders are held accountable for how we see there actions. In making this app Trump is attempting to control the news output for his most loyal MAGA followers. Feeding them excuses and distractions. This attempt to influence what news his followers consumes shows a real lack of willingness or ability to actually fix the problems that they elected them for, which is alarming for how the people in charge of this country look down on us and sets a bad precedent for the future of this country. 0/10 stars.

Great App

Great app to get all of the information on the White House! It’s super easy to navigate, and really informational. One quick thing that I noticed is that when you click on the little bell on the right hand corner, the push notification screen is squished together, and you can’t exit out of the page unless you close the app. Other than that, it’s really good so far!
