With the new update they are cracking down on 18+ content. Which is great, but being over the age of 20 it is quite frustrating that my this app account is not allowing me to watch any of my normal streamers because of “18+ content”. I have been reaching out for 5 days now and have yet to get a response from the email I have to contact to correct this. The issue isn’t being corrected and they are not even replying to my emails. The support team has responded to me and told me I have to wait for a response from their privacy team- but no one gets back with you. They are experiencing “high volumes” of emails, which I can understand, but there’s no reason for it to take 5 days to correct this- as I am still waiting so that number may rise. Extremely disappointed in Kick and the customer service. I’m not one to leave reviews normally but this is ridiculous. I used to enjoy Kick but the updates and customer service have ruined it for me.

After reading the latest update notes, I thought some issues would be fixed, but evidently they’re still not addressed and not working properly.

I have the latest iPad, latest version of iOS, and the latest version of Kick , and yet full screen on iPad does not work properly. There is no full screen chat option like the notes say there now are, and the screen is still cropped off and cut around the corners without any control. It’s been like that since launch. Don’t know what these developers are doing. Kick still forces portrait mode too, until you put a stream on, but then you get the issues I just previously mentioned! Lol what a joke.

Oh AND still no AirPlay support or Apple TV app. Such garbage.

This mobile app constantly has issues! The emotes will work one day the next day they won’t. Sometimes the chat works off and on. Vods will not play where you left off at and will randomly close sending you back to the beginning. I’ve had to screen shot more than I’ve liked to, to time stamp where I left off at. Unfortunately my favorite streamer moved from twitch to this app 🙄💰annoying. Now the vods completely do not work I keep pressing play and it automatically pauses. I’m close to not watching this app at all and just deleting Kick how does it continuously get worse and not better? If that’s the case there should’ve been a ton more testing before they released it to the public seems like they just threw Kick out there to compete with twitch. I’ll stick to twitch any streamers switching beware your audience will not stick around less money at the end when followers stop watching.

Kick has potential, but it needs a lot of improvement. It would be nice to have an audio only mode like Twitch. It also needs to fix the crashing and battery issues with screen off. Even adding the website to my Home Screen as a web app doesn’t work well, as the picture in picture feature doesn’t function properly. The low delay is a plus, but not enough to make up for the flaws. I also don’t see why Kick needs to access my contact info. That seems unnecessary and intrusive. I hope the developers listen to the feedback and improve Kick . Until then, I can’t recommend it.

I was suspended a 2nd time on Kick for a false report. This time for the same clip sent in the first time. The appeals team did nothing and claimed it was a whole new incident when the quotes they sent me where from the same first clip. How is something like this allowed especially when the vods were removed in the first place? this app needs to step it up by not hiring people from 3rd world countries that have no clear comprehension of the worlds first language. Kick is filled with hate and sexual content by streamers that have contracts allowed to spread it while small streamers can not speak the same way and get suspended. Double standards should not exist no matter the contract. Please boycott Kick with me.

Don’t know if it’s been a problem before, but I’m having issues within Kick . I’m trying to create an account, but it will not take my email, because it contains “.” in it, and will pop up this error message, (a pretty long one) when I try entering the email/username I want to use. Only got my email in by typing it else where and pasting it, that’s when the error came with the “.” Not being allowed. I cannot even finish typing it before the message pops up. THEN I tried going through signing up with my gmail, through the button, and it did not work either. Would be helpful if you guys could fix these bugs! ^..^

I was excited to get a new streaming platform aside from Tw*tch, so I downloaded this app to see if it was a worthy alternative. I went to sign up, and the the login is by far the glitchiest, shadiest looking login I’ve ever seen. When I was finally able to enter my info, it wouldn’t even let me accept the terms and conditions. I kept clicking accept and Kick would freeze. Also before that, every link I clicked on saying it’s dangerous and that I shouldn’t open it, so didn’t do that. After I tried and failed to click accept, I just went off and back on to re sign up, but the screen froze and all of a sudden I was logged in. I thought oh nice, it finally accepted my accept button, but nope. The profile page just had nothing, and when I would try to click on my channel, it would say channel not found. I just deleted Kick . It’s crazy how in the year 2023, there are still apps that have login processes that look like a mixture of logins from 2014 and shady logins from stock apps like Robinhood. I’ll just try Rumble or something.

It’s pretty obvious that Kick is new. There are an annoying amount of glitches. For example, the only reason i’m typing this review of Kick is because i was randomly sent here through the glitches from Kick . I was simply trying to look for a profile that i wanted to follow and after doing so, I wasn’t even able to follow their page. There was no sight of a “Follow” button and only found a heart symbol for which i assumed and hoped that it would allow me to follow the page. After clicking the heart symbol, i all of a sudden was sent to where i’m at now and am writing this review from my experience so far. Kick and the creators obviously have a lot to still work on with Kick. Good luck to them :)

When it comes to using Kick as a viewer, there's this one really important thing that doesn't work right. You know those notifications you're supposed to get when the streamers you follow go live? Yeah, they're broken. Hopefully, they'll fix it in the next update or something. So, here's the deal: you go to your profile, click on "Notifications," and then there's this option called "Live: Receive a notification on your phone when a channel you follow goes live." Well, when you try to turn that feature on, it just doesn't work. Kick keeps turning it off by itself. Now, I never know when my favorite streamer is live unless I take a wild guess.
And guess what? Most of the time, I check and their stream is already over. It's so frustrating because Kick could be great, but this super important feature just doesn't seem to work.

Just doing 1 star so this gets noticed, not that I’m mad about it or anything.

Just created an account, got signed in and started scrolling through streams and then Kick glitched out and I was back at the login screen.

Had to re-accept terms and conditions but the button didn’t do anything so after multiple attempts of spamming the accept button I clicked the back arrow and was back at the login screen.

Then tried to log in and now the login button doesn’t even do anything when clicking it, it registers my tap but nothing happens.

Deleted Kick and re-installed but still the same issue of the login button not working.

This may be related, but about the time the glitches started was when I got a pop up asking me to allow notifications, I clicked no, then got an error message saying “notifications required for this feature”, and then the glitch started.

I tried to go into my iPhone settings to allow the notifications to see if that would help, but Kick itself shows up nowhere in my phone within settings… super weird. There’s no settings whatsoever for it anywhere in my phone.

I understand that Kick is new but I do believe that you had a lot of things that should have been fixed and worked on, tested and bettered well before you released Kick to the public. It is constantly crashing. Constantly skipping chat or not sending chat, malfunctioned in some way for mobile users. And now it won’t even let me use it because it tells me to “finish setting up account” when I’ve been using my account since day one of app launch. But I can’t even finish setting up because it won’t let me use MY OWN user name, and if you pick another under name to use, it just repeats the process over and over. Kick needs a lot of work. Highly recommend it is removed from app stores until it works well at least 80% of the time. Malfunctioning every time I use it probably isn’t even at 50% function.

I downloaded the this app app in hopes to stream and to make new friends and memories. I can’t stream without some kind of OBS or live stream platform that I have to pay for. I understand the company has to make money but I was very excited to go on and stream but I can’t even do it, I couldn’t even get into my settings no matter how many times I tapped it. Couldn’t change a profile photo or nothing. My hopes were up pretty high for Kick but it immediately crushed them. I got rid of Kick because what’s the point of having it if I can’t stream? Yes some people download Kick for entertainment and to go on and watch whatever it is they watch, but for the people who want to stream and don’t have everything needed to be able to even use Kick ? I think it’s kinda unfair, not EVERYONE can stream using Kick. Not EVERYONE has the money to be able to buy everything needed. I’m most definitely disappointed!

I am one of the followers of one of the biggest streamers in the platform (Westcol) and it is really good the way this platform is supporting the streamers, but come onn!!! 1st The platform crashes really often in the streaming service to the point that you gotta go to the website browser and see the streaming there so you can actually enjoy it, 2nd if you wanna watch a streaming from past days you cannot see the comment section like Twitch does it, and third you also are not allowed to see the comment section if you go full screen, if you really wanna compete with Twitch and become even better than them you are almost on the right way just try to fix this and there we go

While the image quality looks good on my phone… many iPhone features seem to be missing. #1 and most important; being able to chrome cast or use Apple play. I have a 4K Vizio smart TV. No app available on the TV either. Can’t subscribe. No notifications. Viewing a profile page, unable to scroll the page to see recent videos. There’s an 1/8” sliver of screen trapped behind the GUI main menu that locked on the bottom of the screen. I could go on but…. As an iPhome use trying to use this mobile app to follow, vast streams and sun to a creator?? This current build offers me nothing. Oh wait.. I was able to select my user name without issue. I hope these issues change soon.

This is supposed to be a 2015 like app where people can actually speak there minds freely with out being banned for using a non hateful curse word which I like about it, but for Ice Poseidon for an example, I can’t talk in his chat at all on both my accounts so id say its pretty buggy honestly, and theres yet to be and settings or option’s really to do anything to your account or be able to appeal anything, however if they add setting and options for stuff I believe it can be the best streaming platform but right now its not the best, its still better then twitch though.

Let me start by saying Kick could be better, but it’s a long way away. The chat in plenty of streamers streams are racist, you should be prepared to see a mass assortment of slurs. Ask expect to see a there is no way to turn off notifications for specific steamers in Kick. Actually, when I turned off notifications from settings. I got a pop up saying “You can’t use this feature with notifications off” As a result, you have MANY streamers choosing to spam-send notifications for their streams every 10 minutes.
If you are coming to Kick to watch a “variety” of content you probably won’t find it. The variety mostly is from the streamers themselves but the content itself is repetitive. Speaking of streamers, it is hard to find low viewer count quality streamers because the home page and recommended section are plastered with the aforementioned creators. Overall Kick has MUCH to improve on.

Kick seems to be stuck on the vertical position on iPad (not iPhone so far), which not only makes it very uncomfortable to navigate while on a keyboard, but it also does not revert to landscape when a stream is playing. Once I was able to click on the fullscreen button and it turned to landscape with a 4x zoom which made the viewing experience terrible. I’ve had to use my internet browser to watch this app streams on my iPad. Hopefully this gets resolved soon, as well as an optimized PIP as well as audio only streams support for both iPad and iPhone

App sends pretty easy to leave. But while I’m watching a stream, you can’t close that stream out on the phone app. If you want to browse a streamers videos while watching their stream, you can because their page is covered by their stream. So you have to close their stream to look at their other videos. Very annoying. If you could add a close stream option and allow for better scrolling while looking at a steamers page, only about a 1/3 of my screen is able to scroll on a page. Why is the steamers info always taking up 2/3 of the page even while I’m scrolling their videos.

Needs a away to hide certain creators that pop up on the main feature screen. Like the ones who are half… you know… you probably know who I’m talking about too. Also just lacks basic things like showing a list of who you’re following, and the chatting I find weird since it will show previous chats from the prior days stream and I personally don’t chat much because of that since it can hold your messages for anyone to view days later if you’re the main chatter in a small stream. Kinda feel like the service was rushed, and much like modern video games released before it was finished. But seems to have some potential over previous platforms that have attempted to compete in live streaming services.

Im glad they brought this app to mobile devices, but for the love of god please work on Kick . It is SO glitchy and trips so often. I know the platform is new but its been out for a while where I feel like it shouldn’t be this slow and glitchy. Search box is weird, clicking on the stream glitches and if i flip my phone or ipad sideways it just doesn’t do it. I really wanna watch streamers here, but just the how glitchy Kick is makes me not wanna get on it. I know ya’ll have the resources to improve the quality of Kick so please implement them.

I’m not gonna send a fat paragraph like these bots but there are 3 things that twitch is better at 1. I can’t even hear vods unless I have headphones or AirPods and when I watch something it doesn’t even have a time stamp it just starts me at the beginning 2. The sub thing doesn’t exist I mean it’s a good thing but streamers need to make there money too 3. I can’t even see who I follow i don’t know if it’s just me or what with twitch it tells you they are offline and I can’t even see that. 4. This is a beta so I understand

So I understand Kick was very recently released and this app is still in beta, but jeez it’s hardly usable on an iPad. I’ve used Kick for like 5 minutes and there is yet to be any creative ability from here (again it’s in beta so I understand), and if you take a stream in to full screen there are no options to do anything but pause and play. You can’t even exit full screen without closing Kick out and re launching it.

I do believe that this app is going to be the next new big thing and I’m completely on board with it, I’m just ready to see what his app is really capable of.

I like Kick but I don’t get notifications for certain streamers, for example I was following my cousin and adin Ross before Kick launched. When Kick then launched I wanted to start using Kick more but I wouldn’t get notifications for admins streams but I would for my cousins streams. I checked notifications settings in app and in my iPhone settings but it didn’t help. I even tried unfollowing and following back to see if it would work but it didn’t. Not sure if I’m the only one with this issue of getting only certain streamers notifications but if this could be fixed that would make Kick 5/5 for me.

Option to “Exit/Leave” what’s currently playing instead of quitting Kick .
👉 My problem with Kick is that once you start a video there’s but no way to “exit/leave” what’s currently playing (video) unless you actually “shutdown/close” Kick itself or pick a another to video to play because you either click the wrong video by mistake.
👌 Twitch already have this option when you minimize what’s playing while you also can “Exit/Leave” anytime.
🥱I know this app app is knew & still improving an can’t wait what amazing things you guy do in the future (maybe Live screen share from our mobile devices).

When I first heard of this app from a popular streamer on a different platform, I instantly thought it was going to be a hit by the way they explained it. He went on about how everyone was going to switch to the platform but in order for me to make this rating a five star some things have to happen. One bug that I hate is I can’t get notifications from my favorite streamers such as Adin Ross because the favorite button doesn’t work. Another thing is the graphics are low which isn’t a major factor but would make me like Kick a lot better. Other than that all that needs to be fixed is Lag, Framing issues with fitting the image into the screen, and making Kick a little unique with a better intro design. I have high hopes for Kick but I am a nobody so it really doesn’t matter what I think. YOU DO YOU this app 🙌

this app as a whole is a breath of fresh air and I’m excited to see it grow. The streamers and community are great and this app seems genuinely invested in both!

That being said, while the iPhone app is well designed and very user friendly, the same can’t be said for the iPad experience. Chat is occasionally bugged and not usable, watching a stream in portrait mode STILL zooms the stream making it a disaster to watch, and Kick can only be browsed in portrait mode. I have no doubt these will eventually be addressed, but given how long these issues have been present - it’s a bit concerning.

Again the platform, the iPhone app, and the website are all A+ and I’m a huge fan of this app! But as a primary iPad user for my everyday, Kick effectively keeps me from watching and engaging with the platform and will until some of these bugs are addressed. Just a heads up for anyone in a similar situation.

As many have mentioned, there is a critical bug for mobile devices. When trying to watch saved live streams, it plays for a second then pauses. The video does not continue unless the play button is pressed repeatedly. Videos are practically unwatchable unless they are live.

Secondly, on iPads and MacOS, you cannot minimize the videos in Kick . The arrow pointed down in the top left corner does not work. So you’re forced to just close Kick and start again if you want to click out.

It’s time these bugs get fixed so Kick is more enjoyable to use.

Kick functions pretty well, but I do have one complaint about it. I recently just started streaming on the platform and when I would stream on twitch, I would pull up my life stream on that app, so I can monitor how the stream looks for my audience just to make sure if I need to just audio or video levels. I tried streaming on this app the other day, but I could not pull up my livestream on Kick . Not sure if others have had this problem or just something I thought you should look into.

I NEVER write reviews but I wanted to take a minute to show appreciation for the changes you guys have made. It used to be that when you play a video, if you close Kick and then come back, your video starts from the beginning and you have to scrub through to find your place again. Now the video picks up where you left on which is huge for user experience. Picture in Picture is also a must-have that I’m really glad exists on this app. If there isn’t a “Watch Later” feature then there should be. Great changes so far!

Alright so I know this app was just recently added and at this point, on the IPhone version i dont find too many problems, On the other hand The IPad version of this app Mobile needs some optimization, when i turn the ipad side ways it cuts part of the screen off and also doesnt give you the option to make the screen a tad smaller where you can see chat and the side options(full screen, Quality settings, and what not) please fix this soon

So far my experience on Kick is incredible. It's a great competitor for Twitch, and I legitimately think it could top it, especially considering the fact that there's a 95/5 split for streamers revenue. The mobile app is still fairly new so I'll give it time. However, the mobile app is limited. A lot of potential for this platform; definitely recommend a download!

I had some issues with Kick logging me out every time I closed it out and it asked me to sign back in and agree to terms of service every single time but I couldn’t click on agree… and then the issue with 2FA. I reached out to the support team and within minutes (and I mean minutes) they had the issue resolved and fixed the issues with 2FA! To the people at this app, you guys are awesome and I appreciate everything you all did for me today!

I have been streaming on this app for about 2 months It has been enjoyable the community has been very welcoming and helpful. I have met so many new and interesting people some who also stream and do crazy unique streams! Come check out this app yourself form your own opinion cause we have got a ton of people moving over from Twitch who have actually been enjoying the feel of this app more.

The only thing with Kick is that even if you have Kick most of the things like folllowing and subscribing to people you have to go online and sometimes when I try to log in it says my credentials don’t match when they do. I tried to send a reset password link and its says this page doesn’t exists when you press the link sent to your email address

Edit 2: Muting and blocking does not work in chat. This needs to be fixed. Being able to block or mute someone that’s being toxic or hateful is important. Been using Kick for a long time and noticed this bug.

Edit: Thank you for fixing VODs and Clips. The work you guys are doing is fantastic! this app is an excellent streaming app — way better than the others. They have made many viewer improvements, so Kick is almost perfect. I like to watch some of my favorite streamers on here, over the other apps.
