Bad

Never enough bikes to have a continuous long-distance ride around the city. One kiosk we returned our bikes to had plenty of bikes but the kiosk would not rent

Crash city

The basic interface is wonderful but it “crashes” every time I open it even tho it’s reinstalled. Horrible tech.

Difficult for planning your route

A beautiful app. But it only shows you the 5, 7, or 9 docks nearest to you -- you cannot find the your destination's dock. I trust they'll add this in a subsequent release but for now it's not a fully baked app.

Skip the subway and find a bike

I used NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp all the time on my last trip to New York. It worked really well at helping me get around, and biking in NYC is way more fun than being stuck underground all the time. It's super useful to able to see the bike inventory at all the stations around you. I would check out a bike, have google maps tell me where I was going in my headphones, and then once I arrived NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp would tell me where I could drop my bike back off again. I only wish the timer feature kept running when I left the program. You get charged extra if you're late. Having a good 30 minute alarm set is key.

Not bad

I like NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp for the user friendly interface. Boots up and works fast. The feature which allows you to swipe and see nearby stations is nice. Would be really great if it didn't only work for your current location. By this I mean it would be really useful to be able to look up a station near your destination and see alternative options if there were no free docks at that desired station. Other handy features would be a search function allowing you to type in the street intersection instead of having to scroll all over the map. And a favourite list would be excellent to have too.

Why Always?!...

It used to be a great app. And I was using it since it was waaaaay better than the first versions of the citibike app. But now NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp wouldn't open until I don't switch in the settings to Alway (use my location) instead of "When used". Using my location permanently just to ise NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp and drain my battery quickly just doesn't make sense to me so if this thing won't be fixed soon I will reconsider using NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp...
However, as I said, it used to be a good one.

I use this app all the time!

A friend recommended NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp to me in lieu of using the official Citibike app. One pain point - when biking to less familiar areas, I have to map out my route in Google maps and then try to find the nearest dock to my destination in NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp - I wish there was a way to do this all in NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp.

Much better than the official app

Please though, add the option to disable the compass/calibration. I often need to uses it quite quickly but the compass always requires calibration, which takes a while.

Way Better than citi bike app

Hands down, beats the citi bike app. It's way more accurate with bike and dock info and the feature that let's you find the nearest station with a compass to guide you is safer and faster to use than checking a map

The best.

This is the best CitiBikes app available! Really well thought-out UI, does exactly what you need quickly, intuitively, and beautifully. I love it because I can use it when I'm on bike or foot and immediately know where I can find or park a bike. Thanks Matt!

Perfect app!!!

What away to start my day. I use Citibikes all over the city. NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp makes life so easy. I turn it on and it tells me exactly where and how many bikes are left in bold letters. Simple , efficient , and exact. Thanks

Robert

The Best

This should be the official app. No more waiting for maps to load. No more having to orient yourself once the map finally loads. It just works exactly how you'd want it to.

Far superior to Citibike app

Mostly because it actually works. Accurate, simple and easy to use. So good that it seems shocking that Citibike didn't have come up with it first. Get it!

Used to be great...

Used to be a fantastic app. Now it will not work unless I allow it to always access my location, even when not in use. There is no reason why this information is required by NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp , and I am frankly furious that the creators want to make this a requirement. I will no longer use NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp until this function is fixed.

Is this the REAL citi bike app?

Considering the original citi bike app is constantly crashing and looks dated you would honestly think this is an updated ver considering how much more superior it is!!

By

Better than the official app!

Really like the map feature & extras added in the most recent upgrade.

By

So convenient!

It's clear, simple and extremely easy to use. It tells me where my closest station is and it's availability of bikes and docks. Will be using this EVERYDAY..

Should track broken docks and bikes

Broken docks and bikes are the biggest problem with citibike. Does "5 free docks" mean 5 or 0? Usually 0, but not always.

NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp could help in a big way with a crowdsourced count of broken bikes and docks.

Great interface + reliable content

Quicker and easier to see how many docks / bikes are available in the nearest vicinity than the Citibike app.

iOS9 problem

Used to work fine using location only While Using NYCBikesAOneTapCitiBikeApp , now exits with Location Required. With Always set it uses 25% of battery in background. Pls fix as I have to keep toggling the setting since iOS9.
