I got this program to cast music to my chromecast like it says it will and it detects my chromecast but doesn't have an option to change there is a button that I pressed that was supposed to change the playback to the chromecast device and it does absolutely nothing. Horrible application unless you only plant to use your phone for the playback then it is poor at best.

Like most other users have found - C5 has some nice features , but fails all to often to do what it’s suppose too.

Maybe sometime in the future the problems will be sorted , but at the moment , I’ll stick with 8player Pro , much more reliable and faster to load albums .

I was pretty excited after finding out there is an alternative from using plex server.
What I liked:
C5 has a nice UI more modern and advance from most other Apps I used
Have links to multiple online sources so you are able to cast them

What I don’t like,
App crashes too often, will lose its media source unless you close and reopen C5 , this is a total show stopper for me.

On the free version , pop up ads comes up interrupt on every song you play, very annoying and I think it’s kind of a show stopper for lots of the users wanting to fully test out C5 before buying.

Hopefully app owner will read this and make necessary changes, C5 definitely has its potential and good to have once they can clear the crash.

It’s bad enough that the user interface on this is so much of a jumbled mess, but I really have no idea how to operate it successfully. The real problem is that it is so mysterious, so inscrutable, I’m not even sure what C5 is capable of doing.

I primarily loaded C5 on my iPhone for casting music from my iPhone to my Chromecast equiped stereo system. I can "see" my iPhone playlists and select the first song in the playlist but after that it will just stop until I manually push the start button again. Very frustrating to an otherwise well created app.

When it works well it is marvelous. But there are many times that it can’t maintain a session with a Chromecast even though the WiFi signal is strong. You have to play with it for quite a while to get continuous playback.

I have other cast apps 4 in total, excluding this this app app. They all do one area of casting well but fail in multi type casting. Music from my apple library, video (from the internet), and photos from my device IPhone 7 +.
The this app app was very confusing but seem as it may cover all casting types well, only time will tell.
I dislike the playlist function under music, it attempts to connect you to premade playlists off the internet. I would rather use my own playlist due to having and extensive library.
And C5 will not copy my playlist I have already on my Apple Music, I am recreating them on this. But unlike other music cast apps it gives me the option to random play the chosen list which is a huge plus.
The design of C5 is nice but definitely not user friendly.

This is the one to have. Tried just about every DLNA app in the store and this is by far the most stable and consistent. Plays pretty much anything and does freeze or drop frames etc...

Update looks great! Very smooth transitions. Getting better each time, but would still like the option to not view certain things or to hide.

At first I thought C5 was a bit cluttered or confusing, however after using it for a while I actually like it.

Be cool if there was an option to hide features that are not being used. Ex: Rdio and Photos.

C5 looks good and works as designed. 5 stars!

I use C5 with Yamaha Rx v 675 and my book live to listening music on jbl studio 230. I like C5 very much... i am not programmer but wanted to make an app like this n improve more... have one request / suggestion if u accept. Pls add 10 band equalizer

If you like this, you will LOVE the upgraded version! Such a great way to get music from all over the world. C5 is perfect for everyone. I highly suggest downloading the upgraded version. You will LOVE it!

I wanted an app to stream videos on my WD cloud drive to my chromecast! This works great!!!!

Videocast was the other one but it hasn't been updated and is not working for me anymore.

Ok, this is an early review of the Freemium version. Excellent, love the quality of interface. Streams from any of my three servers to any of my renderers without problem. Think I'm going to pay up and get the premium edition just to get rid of occasional ads and maybe even better performance. Very happy so far. Thanks.

I have spent so much money and time trying to get the perfect app to Air Play my home network to my Apple TV or just to my iPhones and iPads, and only 2 apps playback flawlessly, cannot name the other which is great, but C5 has so many options embedded into it, I'm shocked how well C5 performs. Excellent quality, quick flawless streaming over wifi to AirPlay, and so many other options. Please take the time, do some research, and I whole heartedly would advise to download C5, I guarantee you will be extremely impressed! Don't waste time - you will not regret C5. I am deleting 6 other similar apps which I paid for but perform horribly. I cannot emphasize enough how much you will enjoy C5. Recommend (cannot name) an online server which enhances your whole home or business network. I work for a State agency and cannot for the life of me understand why they still use outdated hardwares and softwares to do simple PPPs, when all they need is a 99 USD Apple TV, and give all the Division Directors an iPhone, how life would be so much simpler. Thanks Apple and the creator of C5.

If you have a Chromecast audio and an iPhone, you absolutely need C5. End of story. Indispensable.

This, along with a Chromecast Audio, have given me the equivalent of a Sonos Connect. The DNLA support works perfect. Since all my music is already on a NAS, I can quit dragging CDs around the house. It is a simple solution allowing me to add audio streaming to my old Denon and Nakamichi receivers. Well done!
