AskPastorJohn is a wonderful resource for biblical truth. I love the question and answer format and to just be able to get a snippet of biblical truth to help answer some of those tough questions is just so helpful. Thank you for AskPastorJohn!

I think a couple of things could improve it. To have the ability to “favorite” or save certain episodes. Also, whenever I press pause on one I am listening too, if my phone goes to sleep AskPastorJohn closes and I lose my place.

Again, I love this resource so much and have pointed so many to this. I just can’t thank you enough for serving people in this way!

I love AskPastorJohn and the endless amount of knowledge Pastor John has packed within it, but I would also like some indication of which episodes I have already listened to. Like other reviewers have mentioned, a "favorites" or "listen later" feature would be ever so helpful. Maybe even a queue feature would be beneficial. Everything in AskPastorJohn works flawlessly as is, but these additional features would make listening to Pastor John even more seamless.

iOS app doesn't remember where you last listened-- would be a tremendous benefit if it had this feature where it kept track of where you last left off and which episodes you've already listened to like any postcast app. App also crashes when searching by topic. The major advantage this has over podcasting apps is that it goes all the way back to the beginning, so you are able to access much older episodes, which other apps do not support.

I give AskPastorJohn itself 4 stars because when trying to search for a specific episode number in the search bar, no results are found. Also, it can be hard to search for a topic unless you know the title of an episode. I really like AskPastorJohn and the format of the question and answer with Pastor John. Just giving feedback on the technical side of AskPastorJohn .

Pastor John is a fantastic theologian and I love his takes on these tough questions. This review is not for his content, but for AskPastorJohn itself.

If the following items are fixed it would be a 5-star app:
1. Dates of episodes doesn’t show year, only month and day. Please add year
2. Add a fast forward/rewind by 15 second button, similar to Apple Podcasts
3. It would be nice if once an episode is listened to, if the episode said “completed” or “listened” or something
4. The “now playing” button on top right doesn’t right
5. A “mini player” on the bottom of the screen would be nice while navigating AskPastorJohn
6. The ability to download episodes would be nice

Such a source of fulfilling wisdom. Missing a star for the same reason as many others: I would like to see what I’ve heard and haven’t heard. Additionally, it would be nice to favorite items as I often like to go back for a friend or for myself, yet I have trouble finding the right episode. Despite saying those minor constructive criticisms, I love AskPastorJohn — thank you for this blessing and God bless.

This is a wonderful resource for keeping God in my daily routine, but some extra features would be extremely helpful. I would appreciate access to a transcript for episodes so I can still read if listening isn’t an option. Also, favorites or adding a read later option would increase the usability of AskPastorJohn.

John Piper not only answers questions that many of us might come up with, but answers them in a way we as sheep need to hear from a shepard. But not from his own opinion—although sometimes the questions calls for that—but persistently going to the Scripture to provide an answer.

AskPastorJohn is great, and the content is even better! Piper will challenge your view of God and scripture in profound ways. I love to listen to Piper because even if I don't agree on everything, I KNOW that Piper has a well thought out, Biblical stance on everything. I love the man! And I love Jesus more through him!

I love the podcast and listening to the wisdom John Piper articulates. I do have an issue that the text I type in AskPastorJohn ’s search box is invisible so I can’t see what I’ve typed (2016 iPhone SE). Also I like how it auto plays the next episode, though I can’t bookmark an episode or have AskPastorJohn remember the episode I’m on.

AskPastorJohn is an outstanding resource for anyone who wants to get to know God on a more intimate level. It is also spectacular for the skeptic that has sincere theological questions that need good answers.

AskPastorJohn keeps closing out on me when I try to type something in the search bar. That’s really annoying and it seems as tho it takes a while for an episode to play, like it’s buffering for a million years. I don’t know what is happening, but it’s not good. These glitches are making me not want to use AskPastorJohn anymore, which is sad because I do enjoy the content.

Functions well as-is. A few features for consideration:
- Shuffle feature — would love to listen to random episodes sometimes.
- Favorites — saving favorites would be great, like the Solid Joys app
- Scripture index — it would be great to find episodes by Scriptures, again like the Solid Joys app (or the Desiring God website in general).

I really love the content and knowledge within AskPastorJohn . I just wish there is a download button on AskPastorJohn so I can store all of these podcasts for my adventures.

Similar to the solid joys app, is there a way to add a "favorites" or "star" button to save or bookmark certain subjects or answers. Would make it easier to get to those favored topics. Thanks!

Can you guys fix the error where it will exit out of whatever episode I'm listening to?

Let's say, I'm listening in the car and somebody calls me.

It automatically cancels the episode I'm currently listening to, even if I don't pick up the call, and then I have to go in and find that episode all over again (I can't just unpause and resume it like a song would, it actually cancels out).

This is the only real problem I'm experiencing- I love u guys!!!

The ask pastor John series is amazing. The only thing I'd like to add is a favorite button so that I can have all of my favorite episodes saved for me. Thanks for a great app nonetheless!

I do not see Christ in Mr. Piper. His table welcomes people who believe the way that he does. He has the audacity to decide who is a Christian and who is not. He is grasping at straws to hold on the archaic, legalistic Christianity founded in fear. Thankfully, that kind of church is dying, it is in the death rattle stage. Unfortunately, it may be too late for Mr. Piper to open his heart and his mind enough to grow in faith instead of staying in this place of judgement and condemnation.

Pastor John is absolutely amazing! If you have any questions about Christianity or the Bible, Pastor John is the man to listen to. He certainly answered many of my skeptical questions. Thank you, Pastor John!
