TDF 2019, presented by ŠKODA Reviews

I’m guessing this version was designed by someone with zero experience and understanding of usability, modern native app patterns, accessibility and 508 compliance. The execution is terrible and many of the best functionalities of previous versions of TDF2019presented have been stripped out or redesigned to be either completely useless or totally confusing - or both. The text overall is way too small, even in areas it doesn’t need to be. As others noted, yellow text on grey background? That’s basic UI design 101 stuff. Terrible! No more live TV access? That’s the main reason many of us use TDF2019presented and are willing to pay for it!!! The live tracking map only allows view half the screen? Remove all the extraneous crap and let the user view and interact with the map full screen. I could go on and on and on. Very frustrating as this was once a very nice app I looked forward to, and would have been happy to pay tens of dollars to use for three weeks a year. Terrible, terrible redesign.

I think TDF2019presented in general is fairly good. One thing that would be useful is an alert (for those who click to receive notifications) when there is 5k to go for those in front. These races are hours long and it’d be nice to be able to see the end even if we haven’t been able to watch the whole time.

Thank you so much for finally having an app with the breakdown of each of the stages, photos, great recap videos without being blocked out here in the United States due to NBC televising the event. Finally I can see Stage video previews, highlights and summaries, and interviews each day without restriction, from an actual official event app!

I rarely write such a negative review, but TDF2019presented, while “good looking”, is pretty awful. Navigation is terrible... the standings list has no link functionality to read about an individual rider. You can’t even search for a rider name in the team list? Really?? Hell’s bells, i JUST found the well-hidden live tracking! I get that they decided to add a bit more info for the tourist going to see the Tour, but TDF2019presented experience seems to have been scrambled and gutted...

Reading the poor reviews surprised me. I am able to track riders, jerseys, stages, and media with this. It is a great way to check in on stages if I don’t have access to a television too. The only improvement I’d like is a link to riders’ media accounts. It could be that this is already available, but I’m missing it. Vive le tour!

The TdF has a GREAT website until 2017. If was functional, efficient an fun !
What where they thinking when they came out with this horrible new site that takes all the fun out of it. It is buggy, poorly designed. The website designer is a complete moron who did a lousy and miserable job ! I can't believe the sponsors can be happy with this Garbage. This new site get maximum of 1 star, even less. I am now getting my TdF info, news and standings from another site.

They got too fancy this year. It’s too pretty and less functional. And you can only see the top 10 in the standings-not very useful. Last year you could see the whole general classification with red and green arrows that showed how far they moved in the rankings since the previous stage. Now you don’t know unless you click between stages and memorize the riders’ times. The arrows were very helpful!! I miss last year’s app.

Would be awesome to get "x# km left" notifications for the last 50, 25, 10km. Helps people know when to tune into the broadcast if they're otherwise busy and just want to catch the last bits to catch the excitement. If those notifications included the breakaway racers/ chase time back and Peleton time behind that'd be superb.

Used TDF2019presented last night for a very limited amount of info. Just wanted to see the racers numbers by looking at them by team.
Returned to open it while watching S11 this eve and I’m getting when hitting the home screen, “The operation couldn’t be completed”. Have no idea what this means or how to correct it. What other rating can I give other than 1 star?

Just update to de latest version few minutes ago. Well nothing works. On every screen the message is the same “The operation couldn’t be completed”. Is this saying that TDF2019presented does not work in the US or there is a problem with the server because I can connect to everything else without a problem

I cannot find the way to change language, from English to French.

How in the world can such a high profile event and an global brand care nothing about accessibility? It’s a shame when you sacrifice legibility to make your links yellow - we get it, Yellow is the color of the event, but which art director thought anyone could read all of the @, #, and hyperlinks on gray backgrounds? Obviously one who prioritizes brand over usability.

I look forward to July just for the tour. TDF2019presented will not allow you to access it unless you agree to give them your location access. They say you can rescind it "at any time" but I cannot find where I can do that on TDF2019presented. This will be removed from my iPod directly. Sad, as it was really good last year.

Extremely disappointing, no standings posted 14 hours after the stage complete? A simple website has it beat. Absolutely nothing special or worth opening. Save your time and money. Hell, NBC has more info than the “official app”

I love the Tour de France. Too bad this awful app tarnishes my enjoyment. If I were Skoda I’d require the developers to release a new version of TDF2019presented immediately without my sponsorship. Pure garbage in every respect.
