Touch-free is the way to be nowadays (unfortunately) and SpotMenus is perfect for that. Love how I can find restaurants around me and view their menu instantly right from my phone! Scanning the QR code’s when at the restaurant is super simple too through SpotMenus . Even works on my native iPhone camera app! Brilliant idea - can’t wait to see what’s next!

This made choosing a place to eat around me a cinch. It loaded nearby restaurants and I was able to check out the menu in advance. I first heard about it in SF and just used it in Boston over the weekend. 5-stars!

Many of the restaurants SpotMenus is showing me near my current location have been closed for a while. It’s a shame they neither self-prune closed restaurants; nor allow user of SpotMenus to flag restaurants as closed; nor have any support options for consumers linked from SpotMenus or App Store listing.

I’m used to scanning QR codes for menus, forcing me to download another app wasn’t what I expecting. And when SpotMenus ’s “menu viewer” doesn’t allow you to utilize the entire screen (only about 2/3’d of it) I’m left wondering what’s the point of this?

Right out of the gate they won’t let you proceed without allowing camera + location access, as well as having notifications turned on. All red flags.
Once you surrender your privacy to SpotMenus (that part works seamlessly) then you get to scan the QR code for a menu.
I did that, then SpotMenus crashes and doesn’t show the menu. Tried this 3-4 times, then gave up and got a paper menu from the host.
