The X – Scavenger Hunt Weekly Reviews

The X is a great app that challenges your brain by throwing puzzles at you. The fun part is you have to figure out how to solve each one on your own with almost no instructions provided. It’s a cool little brain teaser that tests your creativity.

TheX does require you to travel to a real-life location (usually not that far by motor vehicle) to officially complete/win a game, but that feature is what I think puts TheX over the top. Going to visit new places while also getting the feeling that you’re “so close” to beating the game really gives an exciting feel to it.

Update Nov. 21st, 2018: Their player support is also really good. Responds in a timely matter and provides the help/services needed!

Update Nov. 9th, 2019: About a year later and this game is still going strong! New puzzles are being created and more players are joining the action. The prize pool is growing and there’s more to be won! More updates in [brackets]

This game is addicting fun and stressful. My family and I (5 total) enjoyed playing to earn some extra cash. Most we won individually was $10. The rules state there are no rules. So we worked together to solve the puzzles and we’d drive to the destination, take our photos, and use the same PayPal account. Some weeks not all of us could make the drive so my son, or other kids, would take all phones to collect our prizes. The last time we played we didn’t get credit because they said it was cheating. Each player had to be present. We all stopped playing. Either there are rules, or there aren’t.

This is the first time I’ve written a review, but this game is clearly worthy of it. My all time favorite app, it challenges you with very difficult puzzles that get progressively harder as you go until you get to the final puzzle. I’m still in high-school but I’ve lost some hair trying to figure out those final riddles. I would give this game a 10/5 and anyone out there who wants a challenge should download TheX.

Me and my mother both loved this game but we saw the last update was a year ago. Just hoping this game will continue to update and be playable!

Situation: You’re in the middle of a busy Saturday. At 1:30EST, you get your notification- The X is starting in 30 minutes. Everything else stops. You have to make sure that you’re ready to play.

Part escape room, part online scavenger hunt, part real word race. You need a bit of luck and a lot of brains to figure out these puzzles.

This is a must download.

It’s a fun puzzle game, but I would like it better if the answers were available and explained after the game is over.

I love TheX so much- doing these puzzles with my friends every week is so fun. Also- these puzzles are really creative and complex, and paya out really well. Another thing: there support team is amazing- whenever i have a problem, they usually get back to me in less than 5 mins! Amazing app and recommend you to download.

This game is so much fun and i enjoy playing it. However I have some problems with payments method. See, paypal doesn't work in the country I live in 'Myanmar'. I hopefully request you that you will consider about the other options for payments. Payoneer, Visa and other online payments work here. With regarda.......

I love looking forward to every Saturday because I get to meet up with my friend and play this game. I love solving the puzzles every week because they have a lot of reference to pop culture and more. I highly recommend this game and you should definitely try it out!

The game developers helped me out with my problem with using TheX . Unfortunately you can’t use TheX with a jail broken phone or a past jail broken phone.

This week there’s an update and I have tried several times to update the game and it just keeps sending me back to the update screen. Very frustrating after last weeks downtime from the riots.

I accidentally hit the buy a hint and I pressed buy and I was trying to go to a different app and the notification to buy it popped up and I bought it again and I want my money back

The game features very fun and complicated puzzles but you will not make good money off of it. I’d suggest that you don’t go to the coordinates and waste your time as you’ll only make cents.

so it seems kind of sketchy to me that it asks for your location and camera access. And it sends you to unknown places of your town. i honestly think that this game is trying to get your location and stalk you ( ending up kidnapping you ) . Yeah so if you are reading this please, delete TheX. It is dangerous for many minor kids who don’t even know what they are getting into. Sincerely , anonymous.

Going to delete it. I’m sad because I really enjoyed and had fun playing the game but there hasn’t been any new games since June and no real update on when they will start putting our games again. If the games start again definitely changing back to 5 stars.

It was working fine up until two games ago and now it won’t let me play bc it keeps saying I’ve already won but I haven’t even been able to play the last games because of this . Please assist me.

Honestly the puzzles are challenging and fun and I love them. However it’s ridiculous that if you solve all the puzzles right away you have to wait a whole week until you get more.

Maybe if they let you play old-weeks puzzles or practise puzzles then it’s one thing.

I love the game but when I won money I didn’t receive it. I may have put the wrong email for PayPal. Is there a way I can change it or check what email I put? Is this an issue for anyone else? It was only 10c but that’s better then 0 😂 help?

I don’t want to have to buy all these apps just to solve one puzzle . I don’t want to download quibi and make an account just to solve a question . They need to make there own website that has the clues or somthing that I don’t need to have money for

This game is honestly amazing. Every week I can look forward to having fun solving Tempe difficult puzzles, feeling the rush of excitement when you solve one, and the extra kick of the prize money at the end. If you’re fast you can get quite a bit of cash, but even if you’re not you can still get quite a bit after a couple weeks. They have great communication with the players so if you’re stuck, they can help you out. If you’re considering getting this, JUST DO IT ALREADY AND GET PLAYING!!

When I first got the game it was cool, i solved the puzzles and it was super fun! However there is just one problem, I don’t like the fact that you have to wait an entire week for the next one, like these are super fun but I can’t wait a week for a puzzle game, these should occur every other day or at least have like a practice game that you can play everyday but it won’t count for cash. Thanks!

So I was stuck a lot so I messaged him on Instagram and he helped me so much you need to get TheX it is the best app in the world even if you not the smartest person ever he can help you

You earn more money by being faster then the other people trying to play but when there is an instagram account with all the answers that completely defeats the purpose of even doing it. The puzzles are fun I guess.

The X is so much fun. We play it as a family, working together. It is immensely satisfying to solve. We eagerly antic each new challenge.

Challenging and fun! I wish they would pick different days to release puzzles because I work during the weekends.

Love playing this game. My teenage daughter and I play together and we look forward to each weeks game!
