I am going to leave TruePublic two stars just because I want it to get some attention:
1) You absolutely must include the total number of votes. Otherwise, there is no way meaningful way to interpret the data. One solution is to have a separate window for descriptive stats on each question such as number of votes from each category (age, gender, political affiliation, etc...)
2) Move the "Skip" button to the bottom of the window. With large phones it can get annoying to reach the skip button when you're browsing through questions.
3) When you select a question category, provide a list of all the questions in that category instead of randomly cycling through the questions
4) Include Generation Z and include more races. The current list of races is not exhaustive and excludes a huge population of people that don't identify as either white, black, or asian
5) Improve the categorization of topics. At the moment they are far too broad. Needs to be narrowed down or implement feedback #3 above.
TruePublic has incredible potential. But to reach its peak it needs the improvements mentioned above

I loved TruePublic and used it everyday since I found it. However, the new update makes it more difficult to simply answer questions. Before, we can easily filter based on topics and new questions automatically pop up. I like that the categories are more specific but it’s hard to just filter them. I don’t even know how to get random questions to show up after the “popular” ones are all answers without joining “spaces”. I just want to casually answer different questions like before without going through the hassle of choosing specific spaces every time. I had a 22 day streak going on but this update might have pushed me away since my streak just ended and I didn’t even realized I missed a day. I’ll probably try my best to keep using TruePublic but hopefully you guys give the option to either easily filter categories and find questions like before or give an option to return to the old interface.

TruePublic is really fun to use I hope more people join for more fun questions!
My only issue is that you have to click history to go to the previous questions to see the results, and that you have to press skip at top right of the screen to skip the question. I think a swiping motion would be easier to use if you want to go back or skip a question.
I would still like to see the history function exist so I can go back far enough to see earlier questions.
Otherwise everything’s great!

Brilliant foundation AND massive potential for an entire globe! Great work this app! You are hitting the bullseye on this one! This is an amazing time to introduce this type of opinion poll. It’s anonymity allows for honest opinions and will allow social and generational differences to be candidly explored and shared. I’m going to toss the idea out there that this is going to be the next Twitter! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and have studied generational difference for over 20 years. I think this app has the ability to be a game changer in pulling opinions from our Millennial and iGeneration (Gen Z) populations. And, I see a great asset for the BabyBoomer population as they explore what their kids-grandkids-young populations are thinking, buying and talking about. Excited to see the next steps as TruePublic advances!

I have downloaded/tried almost a 1000 apps. Some I use once and never touch again. Others have become daily uses for me. I only mention the number of apps to indicate the number of user experiences I’ve played with, and this ranks very near the top. It’s simple, it’s clean, with intuitive navigation and it’s surprisingly satisfying to get the instant results from every question.
As others have mentioned, I do think there are updates to demographics that are necessary to go mainstream, but I see that they are making updates along these lines as well.
I give it 4 stars just so I have room to give it five when some of the new updates come through.

Since, the Corona Virus is going on.. I have been wanting to find an app to increase or advance my knowledge on things. Also on how people would react or say to some type of questions, and I finally found the perfect app. (Which is this one) it interests me how you could ask a question and people would respond in their own type of way and that shows you the type of person people can be and how they feel about a type of thing. So i’m really glad i found TruePublic, because not only is it educational it’s fun. To everyone that read this I hope your being safe remember to social distance and wash your hands. Be safe good-bye !😷✌🏻

I love TruePublic a lot! It’s a lot of fun for free time because a lot of these questions are either things you enjoy knowing other people’s opinions on or thinking you’ve never thought about. I also love that you can add them and I feel like this could be really helpful for like a school project if you wanted to get some good data for a question. I do have a couple suggestions, 1 being that it puts how many people for that group voted. Because it’s harder to compared some things if say only this many of this group did it compared to that group. Other then that, it’s perfect.

I started using this to pass the time in quarantine, and I got my boyfriend on it too. We both had a lot of fun, and we learned a lot about each other looking at what each other answered. It allowed us to have some really cool conversations, and we found we had more in common with politics than we thought! With this most recent update though, some comments are partially erased, and many of the comments I leave only post the first half of what I type. My comments don’t exceed the character limit, and it’s really frustrating to see my comments butchered!

It’s so interesting to see people’s polls on different topics from relationships to technology. This is especially cool because you can see the demographics of the pollers. However, there should be an added feature in which you can see the things you voted on in the past, regardless of if you saved them or not. There are some things I voted on that were so interesting, but I have no way of seeing them again. TruePublic tells me how many times I voted, but it doesn’t give me access to seeing those votes. Adding this feature would be great.

I love TruePublic! I play it almost every time I have spare time. It’s so fun, it’s great to see everyone else’s opinions. It’s taught me a lot about the general public and REAL peoples thoughts. You really have no idea how awesome TruePublic is. If you’re deciding on getting it, yes! You will be so happy you did. It’s truly one of my favorites and sometimes I play it for hours. My only request is for it to be made available in other countries too because I miss it when I’m not in America. I would rate this 10 stars if I could, because 5 stars is not enough!!!

Honestly I didn’t know what to think of this app at first, but at this point it’s become an addiction! I love being able to see where my answers fit in within my demographic and location, and my friends and I are always sending each other the best questions we see. Plus, it’s an app you can use with friends in real life! It’s fun to ask the questions to a big group of friends and see everybody discuss/argue haha. Great app! Looking forward to future updates!

So I made this pretty meta question twice. “Do you think our answers on TrueEye are truly anonymous. Assuming this was a very free platform and they allow most to go, I’d assume they’d pass this.
Now most my questions either after review get rejected or put up. I PUT THIS SAME QUESTION UP TWICE AND THEY HAVEN’T REJECTED OR ACCEPTED. Something shady is going on here in an era of data collection. I do love TruePublic , but cmon.
Edit: Whenever I ask a question about TrueEye in polls they are always under review and never get answered

I wish there was a way to promote your questions!! There could be a point system.. although i’m afraid this would mess up the economy of TruePublic :/ But if i made a question, i’d definitely like to be able to make it show up for other users more often! Otherwise, yeah, this app is my favorite. I go vote whenever i’m bored. and i use some of the answers of other voters to improve myself as a person too! i love TruePublic so much ❤️

This application changed my life. Before using it, I was a disgraced, terrible, penniless and lost human being. After using TruePublic, I am the same but I now have this app in my life. The endorphin hit I get from using TruePublic helps me wake up in the morning, and it gives me life throughout the day. I pray that TruePublic can be brought to all corners of the earth so that all people can experience its splendor. Thank you for doing such good work. The world needs more apps like this.

I really like TruePublic and the anonymous factor to it. People can ask whatever they want and answer truthfully. Since there’s always new questions being made and released, you never really get bored of it. The only suggestion I have it to add a few more spaces, one being possibly a pet/animal section. I know other people would like it. Anyways, overall I definitely recommend TruePublic. -HelloEveryone
