BostonTransitMBTATBus simply doesn’t work outside of rush hour. I’ve been trying to catch a bus out of Southie the past two months and each time the bus either disappears or I’m waiting for over 20 minutes for a bus that was supposed to come in 3 minutes. Ultimately I’m unable to make my appointment or end up taking an Uber late. Worthless.

BostonTransitMBTATBus has nice features but I only check it occasionally. I have a bus, the 70, that runs in the street by my apartment listed which I can take into Central Square then taking the Red Line into Park Street.

Instead, it suggests I walk for 15 minutes to catch the 553 or take the 70 to catch the 554. These are express buses that cost more, further, they drop me off farther from my destination that the Red Line.

Alternately, it tells me to take the 70 to catch a Fitchburg Line train to the Oranfe line.

So while the suggestions may be faster, BostonTransitMBTATBus wants me to spend money like water.

I would rather be sensible. No thanks.

Somewhat helpful but the bus times are not accurate at all. Been late to work several times waiting for buses that never show. Also there are no service updates for 77 line on weekends and I’m not sure it even runs?

I mainly take the 86 and that bus was removed from another app. Gave this a try and it will say bus is coming then I get to stop and it adds another 10+ minutes. Or it’s says bus has left then I SEE the bus from my window!! I just need to get to work.

Good looking app, but has made me miss a few buses bc it wasn’t accurate to the minute. I finally got to the bus stop early and saw BostonTransitMBTATBus go from 2 mins to arriving as the bus pulled up. Also, I wish their was a real time map like other apps.

Sometimes it works but when it’s ESTIMATING when a bus or train should be arriving- ITS WRONG! And for some reason you can NEVER resort any issues on BostonTransitMBTATBus . The “preview >>” button doesn’t work. So idk how they can FIX the issues if you can report them.

Sometimes BostonTransitMBTATBus is spot on and sometimes BostonTransitMBTATBus claims a bus is coming or has already come when it is running early or late and then BostonTransitMBTATBus is completely useless. I would consider paying for BostonTransitMBTATBus if it was consistently accurate/I could see the location of buses on the map. The trip planning feature is amazing when it works correctly.

I have to check the MBTA website before using BostonTransitMBTATBus to ensure that the bus that is “10min” away is showing on MBTA and will actually come. The issue of showing buses that are not coming doesn’t happen every time, but has happened enough that I can’t reliably use BostonTransitMBTATBus anymore.

Goes from 2 minutes to due then disappears (only next buses) yet still 1-2 minutes still before bus arrive. If it was more accurate I would purchase BostonTransitMBTATBus instead of free commercial version.

My next 2buses will show wait time of 3&7 minutes. 15min passes and NOTHING. The next bus due at 5:45pm-no bus arrives and now it’s another 20min! Ridiculous!

Accurate real time tracking, trip planning, alerts and notifications. Sometimes I am confused whether I can and where to tap for more info. I find it annoying I can’t just find bus schedules for a given location just by route number alone. Rarely, it can’t find a starting point or destination you enter in the search field even when it’s obvious, like “Alewife busway”.

I’ve tried about 7 or 8 transit apps and this is the one that I will stick with. I will attempt to teach an elderly relative (It took 2 months to teach my Aunt Netflix!) I think BostonTransitMBTATBus will only take a week to teach!

BostonTransitMBTATBus tells you when the bus is coming. Either on time or delayed. Ok, so the bus system is not perfect but at least you know and not guessing!

I just started working in downtown Boston. BostonTransitMBTATBus will accurately tell you the next bus that is coming and when it arrives. I love it
