I have been a subscriber since the beginning. Like the magazine and content, but it won't open, show issues and even after reloading app, still needs a fumigator.... I am trying it for one last time and IF it flakes again, there are much better ways to waste your time!

Your magazine already has ads. Now you are adding quite ugly ads on the bottom sliver and while I am waiting for your pages to load? Really? How about improving the terrible experience of constantly waiting for pages to load by loading them in the background while I am reading the current page? The simplest of solutions. You are a San Francisco magazine for goodness sake. You think you could find a couple of college kids to do this right.

Terrible design. When you scroll from page to page, the scrolling is fluid but the pages are out of focus when you switch from one page to another and it takes about 2 seconds before the page comes in focus.

The scrolling is annoying as well because it can cut a page in an awkward place making a two page spread useless.

I have perfect vision and even I strain to read the text sometimes... And that's in portrait mode. Landscape mode is 100% useless. There is no zooming in either mode.

At least it's free.

SanFranciscoMagazine take a long time to down load each issue. Then, it l needs to load the pages after that, which still requires Internet access. Verify cumbersome for offline use on an iPad, while on my commuter train ride. The images look great on my retinae display, but I'd rather it load quicker and fully, than look great.

Never been able to read through an issue without SanFranciscoMagazine crashing.
Can't delete any old issue. It deleted the issue then proceed to redownload what it had just deleted. Old version did not have this problem.

I love the magazine, in its print form, but every time I try to read an article through the iPad app, it pops out and goes back to the main iPad screen. I'm thinking I should get a refund. I have never been able to access the magazine articles on the iPad.

San Francisco magazine is a great way to find out more about the city we all love - the layout is great, photos beautiful, and the articles are interesting.

SanFranciscoMagazine basically displays the magazine in PDF format, but manages to layer on an interface that is slow, buggy, and frustrating. The simple act of opening SanFranciscoMagazine often takes 15-30 seconds, the magazine will crash midway through reading it, and you're re-invited to download an app almost every time you open SanFranciscoMagazine - a process which boots you over to SanFranciscoMagazine Store.

I'd give this a five star rating but there seems to be problems where I'm reading the magazine online while zooming and pitching when all of a sudden the application closes on me. Luckily it saves where I'm at but it has happened on multiple occasions. Also I find the text too small and when zoomed it becomes pixelated. Thanks for the wonderful app nonetheless but once the problems are addressed I can't be giving this anything other than a 3 star rating.

I like the mag, so it gets three stars. Would use it more as a reference than a true mag because too buggy and the zoom either acts strange (portrait) or does not zoom in enough (landscape).

The product manager for SanFranciscoMagazine could learn a lot by simply looking at the output from other apps or displays from utilities like Goodreader.

Has potential... Looking forward to updates!

I like SanFranciscoMagazine overall. It is buggy, closes randomly. Also, when you zoom on text, it is fuzzy.

Would rate 5 stars if these issues were addressed.

I am already a subscriber to SF magazine. Is there no way to get the magazine online without being asked over and over if I want to subscribe for free? Otherwise SanFranciscoMagazine works.

The reason why I love the iPad. Just as good as the real magazine, but without the piles of publications on your desk. The San Francisco magazine is well portrayed in this electronic version without the fancy tricks embedded in the issue. It's straightforward as if you're reading the real thing. Love it.

I love reading about our world class city in a local and familiar format. Plus not acing to have the hard copy makes us feel better about our choice.

App functions well. Quality of content is a matter of preference. It is light reading which is somehow better on the iPad. I browse occasionally, withou having magazines laying about.

Saw the actual mag at Whole Foods yesterday and was thinking how it'd be nice to read the digital version on my iPad, if they had one... What a pleasant surprise to see that it is free! Wow! Thank you, sanfranmag!

Best thing is that it's based where I live! Some of the places mentioned I have been but also mentioned places I need to see in my own backyard. Love it!
