Crave - NYC Restaurant Deals Reviews

I joined Crave in late 2019. It is fairly new. I like the various restaurant options all around Manhattan. I live in Manhattan so it works great for me, but may not be so awesome for those in the other boroughs. There are a few restaurants in Brooklyn.

I would like to see on Crave where you can actually see reviews. You can see there are ratings but I have no idea where they come from nor what people have thought about the establishment. Also, you can rate the places you been. But yet, you can’t read it anywhere on Crave . Also, in regards to rating, I’m not so sure of the thumbs up and down. Seeing a rating system would be helpful. I may not give a thumbs up nor down as the food wasn’t good nor was it terrible.

Super easy interface and incredibly well designed map of tons of areas of Manhattan showcasing participating restaurants with shockingly generous deals and offers. The deals are sometimes limited which makes then so good and makes hunting them down kinda fun actually. Whenever I’m walking around the city running errands or just getting around I’m checking this app to see what restaurants are have deals. EVEN WHEN I’M NOT EVEN HUNGRY. Great for when I go out with friends or just want a high quality snack for a truly great price. Thanks this app. My wallet thanks you, my boredom thanks you, my wife thanks you and most of all MY PALATE THANKS YOU.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I highly recommend the this app app. It’s WAY better than GROUPON because you get amazing discounts at fantastic restaurants (almost all of which are vegan-friendly). I’ve also gotten several free drinks because of Crave offering free drinks/food at certain places. I recommend Crave to everyone looking to eat out while still being on a budget.

I try most food apps that are rolled out in NY. This one is simply easy to use bcuz it shows the deal(s) atop the picture of restaurant. The % off discount is also very good. Most participating places serve fresh, healthy food. LUV Crave & I appreciate the dedicated work that created it!

I received an ad for this on Instagram, immediately download Crave , but found very few local locations that actually have an offer in Crave .

For example, New York City-based chain “The Bean“ has offers in Crave for their Manhattan locations but not the ones in Brooklyn.

This company would be wise to work with their marketing partners to more narrowly target their audience while they expand their covered territory. Otherwise they will end up with potentially excited future customers who end up with a very disappointing first experience.

Granted, majority of the restaurants eligible for using Crave is primarily in Manhattan (hope it expands to other spots in the east coast and globally), but I definitely saved a lot in comparison how much I would be spending at one of the vendors. The onboarding was simplistic to register and search for restaurants based on preference. If you’re a tourist and you want to find delicious eats, this is Crave to go to. Hope other restaurants take advantage of this venture.

I was excited to get Crave and try it since I know many local establishments in my area and wanted deals because I purchased there often. I was a bit letdown when I found that there’s not much on Crave for places in Williamsburg, something that was very surprising considering it’s a very up and coming neighborhood. I know that as Crave expands, more restaurants will become partnered but for now it didn’t quite reach where I needed it to.

I’m looking for discounts all the time as I’m a student and this has to be the best UI I have seen for a while

Food apps in NY are great for bargain hunters looking to avoid the usual high priced meals in the city. What this app does terribly is have a system where unless you’re physically in the location you can not redeem their deals. Something which is absolutely ridiculous when there are people who aren’t able to travel the 8 avenues to get lunch. Download Ritual, much more user friendly.

Downloaded Crave and tried signing in with Twitter Crave completely froze didn’t even let me Sign up with my
Email so I decided to exit out of the sign in pop up and check out Crave ....

Aaaaaand it didn’t even work it was just a still image of the home page, couldn’t click on anything at all.

I’m giving it 3 stars because it seems like a great of app idea but the experience was horrible from the jump.

The best app to discover restaurants while on a budget! Very easy to use! Highly recommended.

Hi there Crave has not worked for me in over the week. Is this still in service or is there a glitch? I have tried to contact customer service and have received no response in over a week.

Really good deals at some cool local spots. Very simple and easy to navigate as well!! Big money saver! 👍

Literally nothing in Boston. Saw that they were expanding their network so please include Boston and greater Boston. Cool app though

having major issues with Crave! i’ve used it a couple of times with no problem. however, it keeps asking me to log in again but then doesn’t seem to actually log me in (i use facebook for my login credentials). i’ve tried restarting my phone and re-downloading Crave but nothing helps! is there some sort of bug?

Downloaded and then deleted. App keeps crashing and showing no food within a 2 mile distance...in Manhattan?!

Free for the customer? Yes!
Deals everyday? Yes!
Crave just WORKS! I’ve already tried so many new restaurants since downloading.

This is one of the best apps i have found till now. Appreciated your hard work.
