I’ve been using WordPalette for over two years, and out of the many writing apps I’ve downloaded and tried, this one is by far my favorite. The simple user design and beautiful color palettes make me look forward to using it. Its import feature is also extremely easy to figure out and quite fun to play with - it makes you feel like the world of literature is at your fingertips (I’ve imported Homer’s “The Odyssey”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Peter Pan”, “Romeo and Juliet”, and a ton of Shakespeare’s sonnets). What sets it apart from other apps in this category is that it doesn’t try and force you, as a writer, to follow a guide or set of steps to success. You just open WordPalette and write. For years I’ve struggled with developing a writing habit, but discovering this app was the best thing that’s happened to my productivity. It made me look forward to writing and I’m producing more work than ever. I’d highly recommend WordPalette to anyone looking for a simple, gorgeous, flexible writing experience.

I have so much fun with WordPalette! Whether coming up with serious lyrics with the help of the vast library of words or just sticking random words together creating (depending on your sense of humor) extremely funny lyrics or nonsensical stories.
Above all, it helps break any writer’s block you may have by suggesting words you maybe wouldn’t normally think of if you had only a blank piece of paper in front of you. All I know is it helps me tremendously! I’m certain it will help anyone out.

Love WordPalette! I use to write poetry as a kid, and was looking for a way to get inspired and knock the rust off my creativity. WordPalette is perfect for getting back on the bicycle or just expanding your imagination for your writing.

The only reason for the 4-stars is that there is a lot of potential here that could make the user experience better. For example, I wish they gave the ability to create folders and organize your work. It just shows up in one list and it just feels disorganized. Also, if would be cool if they had a writing prompt generator - I think that would go well with using the word palette. And showing *both* a created and edited date for each item would be nice, right now it just shows the last edited date.

Hopefully WordPalette can continue to grow! Looking forward to future updates.

What a great tool for the blocked writer. A simple capacitor to kickstart a new work. The option to add custom pallets is awesome.
Imagine for a moment; you’re standing before a blank canvas you have your brush (a pen) and you’re pallet full of your chosen colors; but rather than paint, fyour pallet is full of words. So you dip your brush and paint an incredible work of art. That’s how WordPalette works. The words are there before your eyes and you chose which words you wish to use and where to put them. You can also switch between a normal keyboard and the pallet. Thanks for the great app!!!!

I just got WordPalette today and I LOVE it. It is sooo helpful with writers block. As an aspiring writer I am always looking for apps to make story’s on. At first I tried other apps and they were too complicated for my liking. When I found WordPalette I was thinking I would be the same, just different format. When I opened it I was like “Woah..” it has such a simple format and it’s very simple to use. The words it give you aren’t that high of vocabulary but it is better than what I could have done. I’m very happy I found WordPalette and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!

I love the concept of WordPalette . However I would love to see some more pallets be downloadable instead of me having to go and make all my own. Like a social network sharing aspect where users can upload their pallets and other users can download them. Or easier, more intuitive ways to create pallets. Say, by loading from an musician's discography or from a poet's catalogue.

Overall I think WordPalette can be something really beneficial for writers and creative people of all kinds, but needs some more updates to make it more practical

I love how easy it is to use and how simple he design is! I love the words because you you can either use it to add to a thought and find the right words or base thoughts around a random word. The possibilities to use it with are never ending. A cool addition would be to create and share word palettes other people made publicly or keep your own privately in WordPalette instead of documents. Overall amazing for anyone that is using a word based art form.

I read a lot of glowing, gushing reviews for WordPalette from fellow writers who rave about how it boosts creativity and overcomes writers block. OK it’s a great app and worth 5 stars but don’t call it useful. I suppose in theory I could get inspired by the wacky sentences I construct. But let’s be honest: it’s a word game and nothing more. Sorry guys it’s great but don’t oversell it. It’s just a way to pass the time. But it beats the heck out out stealing cars and blasting zombies.

this app work perfectly and as advertised! The only reason I took off half a star was because I wish there were more features - for example, a way to share your stories within WordPalette or cross-post them to other apps and sites. I also wish you could bold or italicize words. Other than that, it works just fine, and the assortment of words helps spark creativity!

I have no idea whether I am using WordPalette correctly but it thrills me. The word palettes are seriously creative, with limitations that challenge me. It saves what I write in one place, and keeps flowing next time. I think there ought to be a way to separate each piece of writing. I probably just haven't figured it out yet. Anyway, unique combinations of words that I might not consider otherwise. I use WordPalette to enhance my creativity. Great idea!

WordPalette is incredible! It's my go to app for writing!! But I have one proposal, is if we can have a way to refresh the list to make a new combinations of words, cause it seems like out of 10,000 words it constantly brings up the same phrases everytime I choose a palette. This would make WordPalette extraordinarily powerful!!

I’ve been in a rut for a while, with school and relationships, and I’ve had my creative talent knocked right out of me after being forced to write poems for two months. I download WordPalette, and I’m able to write something sort of in my comfort zone with just a little help from the palette. Thanks to the devs for helping me a bit.

I love WordPalette . It’s super cool, and is actually extremely helpful. Writer’s block has always been a struggle for me when I’m writing to the point where I just want to give up and forget about it. WordPalette has helped my creative and fueled my love for writing.
But what would be even more helpful if there were settings on creating headings and maybe if there were some options for Bold, Italics, and Underlining.
Just a suggestion but it would super healthful!!

Such a creative APP! So amazing to move through these sliding lines of words choosing the the right ones that somehow, miraculously, lucidly, say something that wasn’t initially apparent but is true and eloquent! Easy to go back and edit/clarify but getting there is amazing! Thanks for this truly creative writing experience and for the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE you provided when I needed technical assistance!

This is simple, intuitive, such an easy platform for the creative process to be performed upon. Downloading this will allow you to stretch the bounds for creativity. The palettes of words to build off of are immensely helpful to, to give you the extra push through the fog of writers block. HIGHLY recommend to poets!!!

I use WordPalette literally almost everyday to write down thoughts and for journaling. It’s simple and easy to use. Not complicated and was exactly what I was looking for. Nothing to pay for either. It’s basically your notes app with some extra features to enhance your writing.

This is WordPalette for ideas and notes. Love making poetry on this platform. Really straight to the point and customizable. I wish WordPalette though had a cloud base function in it to bridge notes and poems over all platforms (iPad & "Macbook maybe"). That would have gave WordPalette a 5 star app if they had the cloud base to back up and move from device to device. Thank you I hope you continue to improve WordPalette.

I almost always have a problem finding the right words when I sit down and write. Little did I know that All i needed was a pool of random vocabulary words to get me out of that ditch and back into real meaningful writing. Thank you so much for creating WordPalette, Christopher.

Necessity for any writer, especially poets.

I loved writing on WordPalette. It’s great for writers block and even creating a fun prompt to force yourself to use the words you randomly pick. I’ve been using WordPalette for a few months now, usually several times a day. Unfortunately when I had to replace my phone unexpectedly it didn’t save any of my work. All of it is gone I’m so incredibly frustrated. I really hope this feature is added soon.

when i first opened WordPalette , i was disappointed because it didn’t seem like it would help at all, but man was i surprised!! i wrote so much more than i expected off of just one random sentence i put together and i think i did a fantastic job!! it’s very helpful and even fun to see the random words you could put together to create something you never thought you would! i’m usually more into romance stories, but i ended up writing something quite angsty and aggressive. i’m definitely going to keep using this, i can already tell that my writing skills will only enhance with WordPalette!
