I’m always losing the remote and I can never find it, with TVRemote I can have the remote even if I lose it! The only thing is that there is so many ads and that it costs money to be able to do certain things and I don’t like that but overall it’s an amazing app if you lose the remote a lot

This is the best app. I have 4 kids a s never a remote. It is well worth the 20 dollars paid, considering how many replacements I have ordered over the year. The best feature is once you name your tv’s you can turn them off from anywhere; example I woke in middle of night to the sound of a blaring upstairs television. I went to my app and was able to turn it off as well as the ones in the kids rooms—and I never left my bedroom. Buy buy buy — .

I straight up have no idea where it went. So I downloaded TVRemote and at first was worried because it said I needed to use my physical remote to allow TVRemote to access my television. Somehow I managed to bypass that and have been using this as my sole remote for the last few days. It’s awesome and has some really nice added features (like switching between apps on my tv without having to back out of TVRemote U am using). I really love it and glad to have it.

It is extremely delayed and none of the actions canceled each other. Most times what you press doesn’t register anyway from TVRemote to your TV but if it does you will have to wait for the movements to register (up to 10 seconds each press) and sit through the movements in the order that you pressed them. Lastly, you have to pay for simple things like being able to use a keyboard or the little search tool on your own TV (a feature a lot of TVs already have). There are pop up ads for every 1 minute or so while you are using TVRemote …which I would think they would make enough money with ads instead of having people pay for simple features. Bad.

Connects to TV (I can tell by the TV ID #) and never works as a remote otherwise. Doesn’t change channels or even provide the apps you do have on your device. No sounds, any indication at all that anything is going on besides you pressing your screen looking dumb! TVRemote is a scam and please don’t purchase a subscription that is mandatory in order to even open TVRemote itself

So when you first launch, it offers your choice between a three day trial then annual subscription for $30/yr or a one-time of $20. I took the latter because I just know I will forget to remove my subscription.

I turned on my Sony Bravia and TVRemote detected it correctly. Unfortunately, it then says to use the original remote to allow access. There’s the snag: no such screen appears to do that, and while I’m a tech savvy person I have been unable to locate such an option. Furthermore, TVRemote has a contact us button which doesn’t do anything and TVRemote store support link doesn’t actually show TVRemote. I feel like I was just scammed out of $20.

I can assure you that there is no free trial for TVRemote – I’ve documented all my cancellation requests and they were not honored. They charged me ( despite sending an e-mail per their instructions within moments of downloading) now I have to go through the hassle of having the charges reversed. There’s too many hard-working developers out there – don’t give this developer your money. Or your time.

During my first use my TV was for some reason set to maximum volume, something we never do on purpose. In my haste to try and lower the volume on TVRemote , a series of pop ups appeared prompting me to upgrade the service and I ended up accidentally upgrading. I figured I could find what I did in settings and undo it but there’s nothing there. I know the clicking is on me but I’m hoping this process isn’t intentional. I’m waiting to hear back from support.

EDIT: after reading some reviews, it seems this may be by design. I’d avoid this.

I love Roku thus the 5 stars!
However, I lost my remote and have figured out how to make my phone work but would rather have a regular remote. I wanted to use the feature “find my remote” but it says in essence “don’t need to find it you are using it now.” I could use some help but don’t know how to reach customer service or technical support.

For my instance I have people in the family that always lose the remotes so I just have it on the phone just in case .And so far no ads no freeze ups or anything it has a lot more options on how you can manipulate the TV as in channels to even changing to live TV or HDMIs with out paying for it . It’s awesome and free ,Yup I’m in 😂.

So yeah my remote just stopped working. I changed the batteries and nothing. I considered ordering a new one, but, shipping time and all. So I got TVRemote . Paid the one time fee of 20 bucks and boom. Works fantastic. Plus, now when I want to search for something, it’s a quick and easy thing to type it in on my phone and... yeah cool. Thanks for the ROKU app you crazy cool folks !

I was so mad when our remote got dipped in milk (ikr I was so mad) until I saw TVRemote
(IT IS AMAZING) I was upset because of all the ads but then I got the no ads bundle and I worked perfectly the only thing is that when I tried to use it this morning it said get your tv remote (GOT IT RUINED 😠) it was worried but then I got it to work by far GET THE APPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

Go to app when your remote is on the fritz. You can’t believe how much it’s helped! My grandson basically chewed the remote when no one was looking. Since then the remote stays “on” the power button lit and runs batteries out. We have tried everything to reset but then we found TVRemote! What a great substitute. Thank you!

I love this so much because it connects to my little brothers TV so I can change all of the stuff he is watching or as some people would put it it connects to any TV with the same internet or with same wifi but the only bad thing is for most of the things you have to buy the premium

It helps you if you loose your remote. I use it on my tv all the time and it is awesome. There is one thing bad you have to pay if you want to turn of your tv turn up your tv and other stuff let’s just call it premium. So I love it except for that part so this is why I give it four stars.

I thought it’d be a great idea to download a remote on my phone since my kids constantly lose the remote. I wasn’t planning on paying for any of the packages because I didn’t care about being able to open apps on the tv all I wanted was the ability to change the channel and control the volume... you know the bare minimum.... well all you’ll be able to do is find a channel from a Home Screen because literally every other button requires you to purchase a subscription.

You download TVRemote and use it for the intent of working your television. It won’t let you adjust the volume unless you purchase the subscription. The subscription is some 48 hours and after you get charged $30 (the price of a regular remote). You try and cancel subscription before the 48 hours is up only to be charged before then. This is fraudulent misrepresentation. They do not respond to your e-mail and rob you of your money. Just save your money and buy a universal remote at the store.

It can be extremely difficult to turn my tv on with the remote but once it’s on it’s easy to use. At times I’ve attempted several times before actually before my tv to turns on. This is the only problem I’ve experience so far and every thing else is easy like changing channels, turn up or down volume, and searching options. A feature that is nice is the touch remote it’s nice and easy to navigate!

Work perfectly!! But I hate the ads and to get rid off theme you have to pay ang that’s suckkkkkkk I don’t want to subscribe to anything i hate been commitment on a bill that I really use!! I work all the time and never home and wen I am I’m sleeping so barely I see TV but TVRemote is ok have not had any issues with it.

💁🏽 Your app started screwing up after you took out your money I want a full refund I’m gonna be putting and also for refund for my partner from his phone got both apps on yesterday which was October 14 year 2021 I have already spoke with Ebay support and toldDamn the issue and the problem after payment and I want to thank you in advance for cooperating with us have a good weekend.

It needs your remote to give permission. If I could find my remote, I wouldn’t need TVRemote😡

It doesn’t work for my kind of TV. And it requires a subscription.

Why does it want to track me across all my other apps? So sketchy if you have a banking app! & Why would I pay $30 a month for a control?????? Such a scam! They just want to steal your information & take your money
