Update

Hope we're going to get some 3d touch action soon. And support for ios 10!

By

A few changes needed

1: Being able to set a default location for when NiceWeather2 is booted up.
1.5: Being able to remove the default city

2: Making the days be fixed so that you can go back and check the temperature from earlier in the day.

That’s it mostly. I don’t expect these changes but they’d drastically improve certain QOL things.

Crashes instantly

Ever since today's update NiceWeather2 crashes once opened.

By

Crashes on load

Can't even open it anymore.

Worthless

It's not dark, rainy or 72 degrees here. What's the point of NiceWeather2? The wind direction is the only thing kind of correct.

Visually appealing, but data source is bad

NiceWeather2 is very visually appealing for a weather application.

That's kinda all it has going for it. The data source used is a very 'new' service and is not very accurate with its data.

I emailed with the developer, and they are aware the service they get the data from is bad, and have said that if the data doesn't improve by the end of the year they will switch the data source. In the mean time, the built in weather app for iOS is better in terms of data accuracy and WeatherBug pro version in NiceWeather2 Store is even better for more real-time local weather.

Great Concept!

The time zones for the United States are not working properly as of yet and the sunrise/sunset is inaccurate, but it is a very beautiful and intuitive design that I'm happily anticipating improvements and fixes in so that I can use it and rely on it. Also, the in app upgrade is not properly working either. I couldn't get it to do the "Go Pro" option, but when I tapped restore purchases, I got the "Pro" features, but I don't know if I paid for them. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Oh, also, I don't get 5 days forecast. I get what seems to be 3 and a half, including the current day. I hope the developer reads this review and can effect changes. Thanx! 😀💌

Yes, it is the best design & user interface I have seen for a weather app

Gorgeous interface, simple, elegant, minimalist.
It will be useful when the temperature value gets corrected (usually below between 6 and 9 degrees compared with other weather sites; weather sites usually differ between them but not that much).
The automatic location is off too. I have to choose my city manually
Excellent design, congrats.

Is the background supposed to reflect current light and clouds?

New version: sorry, temperature is still off and automatic location is off too.

Version 1.30 same issues: I live in Oak Park and reports Elmwood Park; temperature is off

Nice app, really elegant and easy to read

Newest version: same issues: wrong automatic location, while NiceWeather2 chooses Cicero I am in Oak Park. Wunderground indicates -9 C while NiceWeather2 indicates -5 C.
The interface changes are great, like them very much

Good Idea but Needs Some Work

The ability to do a graphical scrub is a nice idea but the implementation is still lacking before it becomes my go to weather app. Recommend making graphic line contextual for temp, wind, humidity, etc. Also, really need to include chance of rain as a selection. The humidity is largely worthless to most people on a regular basis.

Good idea but think more deeply about the way somebody is likely to use a scrub line weather app. More graphic representations and useful data and it'll have a place on my home screen.

Amazing

It's a simple as that simply tells the weather it works great at least where I am I have not encountered any bugs to this point and I've had NiceWeather2 for a while, I would recommend this to anybody who does not understand the stock weather app on the iPhone because it is so simple to understand the interface on NiceWeather2 I would recommend it to people like my parents.

Pretty but stopped updating

NiceWeather2 is pretty, although I'd rather that the temp, humidity, wind speed, wind direction are all visible at the same time rather than needing to tap to see each one of them.

Biggest complaint, though, is that it hasn't updated my location or the weather in 5 days, even after killing NiceWeather2 . No way to try and force it to refresh, either.

Not doing a good job convincing me to buy the Pro version. And on that subject, I'm disappointed that NiceWeather2 doesn't give me the price of the in-app purchase before asking me to confirm the purchase. I had to look at NiceWeather2 Store to see how much it would cost.

Beautifully Minimalistic

I downloaded NiceWeather2 because I wanted to mix it up from the usual apple weather app, and it is just the coolest thing! It's a beautifully designed app that's very informative without giving up on being stylish. Of course there's a banner ad at bottom, but I was willing to pay for that to be removed because of how pretty it looks on the 6plus.

Great UI

I really like NiceWeather2 . The user interface surpasses everything I've seen in other similar apps. I'd like NiceWeather2 to use a better source for the weather data though as the temperatures seem slightly off compared to the consensus on various sites.
The current version has an occasional minor issue with the weather icon (displaying the moon at noon for me today…) but I'm sure it'll be corrected in no time.

Convenient!!!

NiceWeather2 is so much easier to control and visualize in comparison to, say, the weather channel app. Some people in past updates have complained about accuracy with Nice Weather.. Well, is the weather ever that accurate anyways?! You won't regret trying NiceWeather2! Thanks go to the creator for making a highly efficient piece of software.

Love the look but NOT accurate temp

I wanted this to be my go to weather app but it's just not accurate. Since I just recently downloaded it, I still check apple's default weather app & the temperature never matches. Sometimes it's really off, by 20 or 30 degrees! Using app from Los Angeles, California. Looks great but just wished it was better. I also don't like that you can't toggle to the other cities with just a swipe. Needs improvement!!

Great for what it is

I like NiceWeather2, there a lot of apps that give a ton of info on a tiny screen all at once. This is not one of them, it gives me just what I need in an easy to read display with the ability to peak ahead intuitively. I only wish it had an option to set the city manually and a link to a loop of local radar. If it did five star all the way.

Great app

I love NiceWeather2. It is awesome how I can see what time the sun will go up and down. The information it displays is great along with the background. The only problem is when I search for a city, I press the space bar and it doesn't space. Also, the current location isn't spot on but it's close enough.

Great Design, Poor Execution

Here in Northern California, the forecast everywhere else is for a high of 77 with clear skies and no chance of precipitation. On Nice Weather, the forecast high is 95, with a 45% chance of rain. Also, where the graph of rain is 45% is lower than the part which says 44%.

As has already been said, “Beautiful but Broken” Perhaps a future update will fix these issues, but until then, you’ve been warned.

Pleasing design, but somewhat buggy

The design fit iOS very well, but sometimes the time isn't correct. I also have few suggestions. First, make it easy to shuffle through different days for weather forecast. Secondly, add weather widget for pro version. And the startup time is not very impressive.

Great!!!

The best part about NiceWeather2 is being able to go to a specific time of day with just a swipe of your finger and then you can see the weather for that hour!

It's great for a photographer like me to be able to know when it will be a bit nicer out there for a shoot!

I totally recommend this!

Beautiful, but…useless.

Gosh, this is a beautiful app, and I really, really wanted to like it a lot. Too bad it’s essentially useless.

For starters, it doesn’t have my (specific) city. I live in a large metropolitan area with wide variations in weather. Unfortunately, it didn’t have my city, just the large city that anchors the metro area. I would say it is what it is, except that many other weather apps that I’ve used don’t have this problem. Deal breaker.

I’m also not sure what the background is all about. It was very pretty, like everything about NiceWeather2 . But it was sort of grayish with white specks gently floating down. Was this just some sort of abstract background, or was it meant to convey that it's cloudy/snowy? Because it’s sunny and 70-ish right now. Fail (it was meant to be useful rather than decorative).

I’ve also read some other reviews complaining about the accuracy of the weather, but I didn’t even get that far into it (the paragraph above notwithstanding).

Based on the aesthetics alone, this could become my go-to weather app if some of the critical functions were…actually functional. In the meantime, I’ll stick with my old app—which also looks pretty darn nice.
