Entire reason I got this map was to track my altars of well it’s progress for the last several weeks. This is no longer functioning and I can no longer mark alters found as it keeps airing out. I figured after several weeks they’ve had enough time to fix this yet the issue still persists.

App works great, when it works. Was about to make an account when I first got MapGenie . It logged me out at some point, and will no longer let me login or reset password etc...

Not being able to login prevents you from keeping track of what you've done. Which is the WHOLE POINT of MapGenie. Pointless.

All of the items on the map load up, but it’s just a white background, so gives you no real bearing as to what is where. Ive paid for the pro version to see if it would fix it. Doesn’t help.
I have the latest iPhone with the latest approved software updates.
And yes, I’ve deleted MapGenie and reinstalled. That does work for a minute, but then goes back to white background.

Probably the only app I have that mysteriously drains my phones battery as soon as I open it. Also notice my phone getting pretty warm. Checked battery usage to confirm. Only used for 45 minutes over a months usage. Has just as much battery drain as Safari with over 4 hours of usage. I can change my rating but they need to work on the battery drain issue

It looks to be super helpful but again on my newest iPhone 13pro the map doesn’t load I even tried troubleshooting to see if it was a webgl thing but that’s working fine too.. but I get no map just markers. Hopefully the developers read these reviews to make fixes.. again like others I failed to read the reviews and paid for pro thinking that would fix it but no luck …
Hopefully others have better luck!!

I’m only giving MapGenie 3 stars for now because of some issues. First, like multiple people have said, my phone gets hot when using MapGenie (iPhone 14 pro) and it drains the battery as well (I’d say more than Pokemon GO). Second, you have to pay to complete your tracking, you only get up to 100 marked as found on free version. Like come on, you’re gonna lock people from 100% tracking and have ads? I’d understand if you had the third thing. So the third thing, and it’s my biggest issue, especially since I paid for the pro version. There is no timers for Helltide, Legion, or World Boss like on the website. I expected those to show up when I unlocked pro, but nothing. So the free website is far more functional than MapGenie , and it doesn’t overheat my phone. You really need to fix this issue, or start dishing out refunds.

I love the map for keeping progress tracked in game. However, MapGenie makes my phone so hot that it will refuse to charge until it cools down. You have to fully close MapGenie to cool your phone down. It doesn’t stop just because you swap to another app. That is strike 1. Strike 2 is that it doesn’t show up in my app list. Not under D’s for Diablo, not under M’s for Map, not for the other identifiers I thought it might be from reading MapGenie information. That’s it for me, there is no strike 3, this isn’t baseball.

MapGenie is amazing. Everything about it works great and makes this game 10x easier and better to play.
Only issue is - if I have MapGenie open for more than 3-5 minutes while searching for something on the game, my phone gets super hot. This is weird cause I don’t have this issue with Any Other App. I have a brand new iPhone 14 too, so I don’t know why this would be happening. It’s pretty concerning. Now that I know this happens I’ll just mark the area I know I need to go in game and close my phone screen down so that it won’t get so hot.
I’d really love to give MapGenie 5 stars but the heating issue, like I said, really is a bit of a red flag.

App took a huge crap on me today glitching out when I try to mark things as found can’t seem to fix it and it’s extremely annoying there doesn’t seem to be a report issue either

“Failed to mark map” appears for every marker, when attempting to check something off. Started after I hit 80 or so markers. My ability to check discovered items off is gone. Map is pretty detailed though. When it is working, it is a real resource.

For whatever reason, on wifi I get a blank white background with all the markers. However, if I switch to cellular the map shows up. Not sure if itis because I am on a goggle wifi router or what, but not the best experience.

Awesome!!! Great job and detail. Just wish the timer and notifications were available for IOS. I know it’s waiting to be approved for an Apple update. Will change to 5 when that happens. Would be very cool if it linked straight to my blizzard account so I don’t have to mark found on each item.

MapGenie is definitely great, I have the paid version. Unfortunately I use the website 100% of the time cause I can track each of my characters and it has a running timer of legion invasions, helltides, and world bosses.

If MapGenie had a system set up to send out push notifications for those this would definitely be a 5 star app in my opinion.

It would need a filter so you would get spammed if you only wanted World boss notifications and not the others.

This map is very detailed and helpful for finding what you need. However I’m running into an issue where I was tracking all Lilith Alters and about halfway of marking what I found, it stopped marking things for me. I would tap “found” and I would get a pop up saying “failed to mark location” therefore I have to un mark locations in order to mark more. I would give this a 5 star if it weren’t for this problem.

This is the perfect companion for discovering everything and anything in the game. Being able to mark the things that you already found is a great tool

The map is fantastic for completing the renown grind in D4. Sometimes it can be a little laggy and unresponsive when trying to check off a location. I would like to be able to select a specific region in the filter to ONLY see places in that region, but not a deal breaker.

Currently using this to find the Lilith statues & it has been great. Wish when I picked an area that it only showed me that portion of the map but overall it’s ok. I can’t track the found ones without making an account so I may need to look into that

App was working great, but now when I click an alter as found it immediately unmarks it and says failed to mark. If it had this issue sorted I’d give it a 5 star.

I can’t get over how quickly this was put together. Very useful app. Purchased the pro version right away. I hope the developer continues to update this and add more features in the future.

Elegant, accurate and clean design. The interface is easy to navigate and track your progress. Well worth the donation/upgrade to pro version (if you choose) because they did such a great job. Thank you for all the hard work devs.

A lot of good info. But, the map does not load. Only the icons show up. Have purchased the pro version and reset MapGenie several times. If I can get it to work I’m sure it would be awesome.

App is great and very detailed! But It won’t let me mark anything as found now hopefully it’s just a bug and will be good soon. Thanks for making MapGenie! It is truly awesome!

Has all the map locations from beta I expect more after the game releases, but pretty handy to get a head start.
